This study was performed to investigate out-of-pocket money among medical expenses of an oriental medical university hospital by the use of internal data of an oriental hospital because medical insurance program data could not show us insuree's out-of-pocket money among medical expenses. The purpose of this study was to analyze out-of-pocket money among medical expenses of ambulatory and hospitalized patients. Under this purpose, We analyzed actual medical expenses data of 1389 out-patients and 858 in-patients of the oriental medical university hospital with 90 beds that could be approach to internal data from July 1, 1998 to March 31, 1999. The major findings are as follows : 1. In ambulatory patients, the cost share ratio of insuree & that of insurer was 90 : 10 respectly. 2. In hospitalized patients, the cost share ratio of insuree & that of insurer was 72 : 28 respectly.
천속단(川續斷)과 한속단(韓續斷)의 기원에 관한 문헌 고찰

Objectives : This study aimed to review the change in the origin of Sokdan(續斷) by diachronically analyzing literature data from Korea and China. Methods : Literature records describing the origin(synonyms, location of production, description) of Sokdan were collected, records were divided into periods. The main contents were included in the results, and original texts were edited and summarized in the table. Results : Sokdan, whose leaves resemble Jeoma(苧麻)(SJ), was first recorded in 《Xinxiubencao(新修本草)》, and described in detail in 《Bencaotujing(本草圖經)》 during the Tang and Song dynasties in China. In modern times, SJ was assumed to be genus Phlomoides or Lamium; however, records of the plant have decreased. Finally, SJ was not included in the 《Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China》 as Sokdan. However, 《Diannanbencao(滇南本草)》, 《Diannanbencaotushuo (滇南本草圖說)》, 《Zhiwumingshitukao(植物名實圖考)》 described Sokdan of dian(滇). It was assumed genus Dipsacus . From the 1950s onwards, Sokdan is described in the literature as a member of the genus Dipsacus. In korea, SJ was recorded in 《Hyangyakjipseongbang(鄕藥集成方)》 and 《Dongeuibogam(東醫寶鑑)》 during the Joseon dynasty. In modern times, the genera Phlomoides and Lamium were mostly recorded as the origin of Sokdan. Conclusions : Several species have been described as Sokdan over the years in China, but since the 1950s, the genus Dipsacus was noted as the origin of Sokdan. In Korea, SJ was used in the past, thus Sokdan was recorded as P. umbrosa in 《The Korean Herbal Pharmacopoeia(KHP)ㆍ1985》. However, 《KHPㆍ1998》 referred to P. umbrosa as Hansokdan and D. asperoides as Sokdan.
An empirical identification of types of organizational learning systems

We tried to empirically identify types of organizational learining systems based on seven learning orientations proposed by Nevis et al using samples from Korean companies Three types of learning systems were derived using cluster analysis Individualistic Learners, Collective Learners, and Process Learners Collective Learners showed best performance among the three groups, implying that firms may need to take collective learning approach to survive and prosper in changing environments.

QuickTrip West, Inc. (“QuickTrip”) and Weigel Stores, Inc. (“Weigel”) both operate combination gasoline and convenience stores. QuickTrip has sold food and beverages in its stores under the registered mark QT Kitchens since 2011. Weigel began using the stylized mark W Kitchens in connection with food and beverages sold in its stores in 2014. In response to QuickTrip’s cease-and-desist letter, Weigel modified its mark twice, to which QuickTrip objected to Weigel’s continued use of the word “kitchen” in its mark. In 2017, Weigel filed a trademark application to register the final iteration of its mark, W Weigel’s Kitchen Now Open. QuickTrip filed an opposition to Weigel’s mark under 15 U.S.C. § 1052(d) on the ground that it would create a likelihood of confusion with its QT Kitchens mark. U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Trademark and Trial Board (“TTAB”) dismissed QuickTrip’s opposition. The Board concluded that although several factors weighed in favor of a likelihood of confusion, Weigel’s mark was “so dissimilar to [QuickTrip’s] pleaded mark” that there would not be a likelihood of confusion. QuickTrip appealed to U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit(“CAFC”). Under § 2(d) of the Lanham Act, a mark may be refused registration on the principal register if it is “likely, when used on or in connection with the goods of the applicant, to cause confusion” with another registered mark. 15 U.S.C. § 1052(d). Likelihood of confusion is a legal determination based on underlying findings of fact relating to the factors set forth in In re E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., 476 F.2d 1357, 1361 (C.C.P.A. 1973) (“the DuPont factors”). CAFC considered both parties’ arguments and found that TTAB’s factual finding that the marks, in their entireties, differ in appearance, sound, connotation, and commercial impression was supported by substantial evidence. And it also found that TTAB properly found that Weigel’s willingness to take steps to alter its mark evidenced its lack of bad faith in view of the fact that Weigel substantially modified its mark not once, but twice to accommodate QuickTrip’s concerns regarding customer confusion. CAFC therefore affirmed the decisions of TTAB.

A number of problems associated with environmental noises in urban areas have significantly been considered. Specific measurement and estimation of the environmental noise became a primary issue in local governments. Environmental noise monitoring system is required in order to estimate and verify the a city noise map. However, current monitoring positions may not perfectly represent and incorporate many different view points, such as districts of a city, different utilizations of a city by the law, populations, and classifications and traffics of roads. In addition, scientific method to provide specific noise monitoring positions my not be avaliable in current literature. For this reason, the primary objective of this paper is to propose a new method for introducing a number of monitoring positions in the entire city. First, the quality function deployment (QFD) method was utilized to simultaneously represent both districts and utilizations of a city. Second, a new algorithm to find a number of monitoring positions was proposed by compromising many different view points: populations, classifications of roads and areas, and traffics of roads. Finally, the proposed monitoring positions and a sample noise map was provided for verification purposes. Based on these results, the proposed algorithm including the QFD concept may successfully provide specific noise monitoring positions by simultaneously consider may different view points and requirements of a city.
음이온 생성을 위한 표면 유전체장벽방전의 설계조건 연구

his paper describes a study of the design conditions of a planar surface dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactors for generating negative air ions. The capacity of negative air ion generated by the surface DBD reactor is affected by the shape, area ratio and the location of the discharge and induction electrodes of it. To study the optimal design conditions of DBD reactors, the electrodes printed on the substrate of a PCB board is utilized to conduct kind of experiments: the distance of the each electrode along with the X-Y axis, the area ratio of the discharge electrode to induction electrode, and the symmetrical and asymmetrical location of two electrodes. The ion generation capacity is inverse proportional to the gap increases along with X-Y axis. And the optimum ion concentration generated by the ionizer was inspected when the electrodes area ratio was 3 and 5 times of the symmetrical and asymmetrical experimental condition respectively.
