15금 BL웹툰 <팔재>의 스토리텔링 전략 연구

15금 BL웹툰 <팔재>는 동양풍 판타지라는 드문 소재를 채택해 성공을 거두었다. <팔재>의 스토리텔링 전략은 탐색과 반추의 다층적 서사를 통한 향유자 참여, 캐릭터 관계의 가변성을 활용한 내력담 확충, 판타지와 어우러지는 동양화풍 작화의 탐미성 극대화 세 가지를 꼽을 수 있다. 첫째, 익숙한 고전 서사를 현대적으로 재해석, 변형시켜 두 캐릭터의 과거를 중첩시킴으로써 보다 복잡한 다층적 서사를 구축해 향유자들의 호기심을 불러일으키고, 향유자 스스로 탐색하고 반추하는 참여문화를 형성했다. 둘째, 시공간에 따라 변하는 캐릭터 관계를 통해 행위의 인과성과 사건의 개연성을 부여해 서사성을 강화하고 내력담을 차별화했다. 셋째, 수묵화 스타일, 중간톤의 사실적이면서 투명한 작화, 신 단위의 역동성 강화 등의 작화스타일로 미적 성취를 이루었다. 이처럼 <팔재>는 성애 요소를 약화시키고, 판타지와 내력담을 기반으로 서사성을 강화하고, 탐미적 작화 스타일로 고유의 미학을 성취하였다. 15금 BL웹툰은 순정만화와 19금 BL웹툰 사이에서 독립된 시장을 형성해왔다. <팔재>의 성과는 BL웹툰 시장의 다양성 측면뿐만 아니라 15금 BL웹툰의 독자적인 위상을 제고한다는 측면에서 의미가 있다. The 15-rated BL webtoon <Paljae, Child of Winter> succeeds by adopting an unusual material of oriental fantasy. The storytelling strategy of <Paljae, Child of Winter> is threefold: engaging the viewer through a multi-layered narrative of exploration and reflection, expanding the backstory by using the variability of character relationships, and maximizing the tastiness of the oriental painting style that blends with fantasy. First, by reinterpreting and transforming the familiar classic narrative in a modern way and superimposing the pasts of the two characters, the creator built a more complex, multi-layered narrative that aroused the curiosity of the enjoyers and created a participatory culture that they explored and reflected on. At the same time, character relationships that change over time and space give the causality of actions and the probability of events, enriching the narrative and setting backstories apart. Finally, <Paljae, Child of Winter> achieved aesthetic fulfillment with ink painting style artwork, realistic and transparent artwork with medium tones, and long, dynamic artwork per scene. In this way, <Paljae> has achieved its own unique aesthetic, by weakening the sexualized elements, building up the narrative with fantasy and backstory, and painting it in a more aesthetic way. The 15-rated BL webtoons have formed an independent market between girls’ cartoons and 19-rated BL webtoons. The achievement of <Paljae, Child of Winter> is significant not only in terms of diversifying the BL webtoon market, but also in terms of raising the unique status of 15-rated BL webtoons.

박목월 서정시의 김연준 예술가곡화 연구-문화융합의 원리를 중심으로-

This paper is the studying of poetry of Mok-wol Park accepted by songs of Yeon-jun Kim. Mok-wol Park and Yeon-jun Km are artists who have dominant positions in the field of them. And the studying of them have been conducted separately in different genres which music and literature. But this paper has tried to study genre ever property of ‘Art song’ and a type and expandability of poems be based on the existing study about songs of Yeon-jun Kim and poems of Mok-wol Park in the cultural fusion aspect. Above all, we looked into the existing study about characteristics of Yeon-jun Kim’s songs and Mok-wol Park’s poems. In the works of Yeon-jun Kim, it found characteristics which are romantic symbolism, environment- friendly lyricism, the philosophy based on Christianity in repetitive music formats. Also, the works of Mok-wol Park have characteristics like purity discovered by eyes of the child’s mind, pastoral lyricism and Christian reflection. Based on these characteristics, we have studied sympathetic, harmony of different art genres which music and literature through 『Yeon-jun Kim’s 330 songs』. Common lyricism of works of Yeon-jun Kim and Mok-wol Park fused inevitably and resulted in 23 songs. Also, it opened up new genre called ‘the art song.’ The art song made by Yeon-jun Kim and Mok-wol Park signify a principle of cultural convergence which applied to cultural contents. This principle shows a type of cultural convergence called ‘Fusion’ that two original works had natural characteristics make a new one. Also, Mok-wol Park made new works planned and purposely only for art music because he already recognized that two poems, one is delivered as a character, the other is combined with music are different. So, we confirmed that harmony of Yeon-jun Kim’s songs had mood of original music and Mok-wol Park’s poems contribute to poetry extensibility through widen empathize. 본 논문은 작곡가 김연준의 가곡으로 수용된 시인 박목월의 시문학에 관한 연구이다. 두 예술가는 각 자의 분야에서 독보적 위상을 가지고 있는 예술가이며, 이들에 대한 연구는 음악과 문학이라는 별개의 장르에서 따로 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 본고에서는 기존의 김연준 가곡과 박목월 시에 대한 연구를 바탕으로 ‘예술가곡’의 장르적 속성과 박목월 시의 유형과 시의 확장성에서 나타난 소통의 방법을 문화융합적 측면에서 살펴보고자 하였다. 먼저, 기존에 연구되어온 작곡가 백남 김연준의 가곡적 특성과 시인 목월 박영종의 시의 특성을 살펴보았다. 김연준의 작품에서는 반복적으로 드러난 음악 형식 속에서 낭만주의적 상징성과 자연친화적 서정성, 그리고 기독교 정신에 입각한 인생철학이라는 특성을 찾을 수가 있었다. 박목월의 작품에서는 동심의 눈으로 발견된 순수성, 한국어로 표현하는 향토적 서정성과 기독교적 성찰이라는 특성을 지니고 있음을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 이 특성을 바탕으로 음악과 문학이라는 서로 다른 예술 장르가 어떻게 교감, 융합하는지 『김연준 가곡 330곡 선곡집』을 통해 살펴보았다. 김연준과 박목월 작품의 서정성이라는 공통된 특성은 필연적으로 융합되어 23곡의 가곡을 만들어냈으며, 예술가곡이라는 새로운 장르를 개척 하였다. 김연준과 박목월이 만들어낸 예술가곡은 문화콘텐츠학에서 활용되고 있는 문화융합의 원리를 보여주었다. 이 원리는 본연의 속성을 간직한 두 가지의 작품이 만나 하나의 새로운 작품을 탄생시킨 것으로 ‘퓨전’이라는 문화융합 형태를 보여주었다. 또한, 박목월은 예술가곡을 위해 새로운 작품을 계획적이고 의도적으로 제작한 것으로 보아, 이미 문자로 전달되는 시와 음악과의 결합으로 소통하는 시가 다름을 인지하고 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 음악본연의 무드를 지닌 김연준의 가곡과 박목월의 시와 융합되어 조화를 이뤄 공감영역을 넓혀 시의 확장성에 기여하였음을 확인하였다.

The Washback of the Reformed College English Test in China: Focusing on Learner and Teacher Perceptions

This study is a preliminary attempt to estimate the effects of the reformed College English Test (CET) Band 4 on English education in China. Three research questions were addressed: (1) Does the reformed test format yield more beneficial effects on students’ development of reading ability than the previous CET? (2) Do students and teachers perceive the washback of the reformed CET on college English education to be positive, negative, or insignificant? (3) What factors of teaching and learning process are directly affected by the test? Two groups of intermediate-level Chinese learners of English (n = 188) had been instructed for eight weeks either with reading tasks similar in type to the ones in the reformed CET or with tasks similar to the ones in the traditional CET. A post-test revealed that the reformed CET group gained more in reading comprehension ability than did the traditional group. Data concerning student and teacher perceptions of the new CET were collected using a questionnaire based on Alderson and Wall’s (1993) Washback Hypotheses. It was found that their perceived washback varied in extent across a range of factors involved in teaching and learning practices, which was far greater on learners than on teachers. The positive and negative aspects of the washback are discussed with respect to each factor and suggestions are made for future directions.

Application of Formative Assessment to College English Writing Teaching - A case study in Yanbian University in China

English plays an overwhelming role in achieving the communication and idea exchange among people. English writing is a skill of output, which can reflect one’s comprehensive cultural competence and logic thinking ability. There is no doubt that English writing is one s kill which can be acquired only in a hard and long way. As one means of expression, writing helps people to make a direct communication with each other without restriction of time and place, which can witness the lighting up the flame of thinking and penetrating ideas. In sharp contrast with the importance of English writing, students in the universities and colleges show an indifferent attitude towards English writing, mostly caused by the reason that the universities adapt the traditional English teaching method and evaluation. This research applies the formative assessment into English writing process tentatively and tries to explore the influence that formative assessment exerts on students' writing proficiency. The author proposed that formative assessment attaches more importance to the process of learning, with multiple types and tools of assessing to provide timely and effective feedback to facilitate teaching and learning.

On Metalinguistic Development of Ethnic Korean Learners of English as a Third Language in China

중국 내 소수 민족인 조선족은 어려서부터 한국어, 중국어, 영어를 함께 배우게 된다. 유형이 서로 다른 세 개의 언어를 동시에 학습하는 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점과 발달적 특징에 관하여 본 논문에서는 제1언어와 제2언어능력간의 균형/불균형과 제3언어 학습 경험이 상위언어인지능력의 발달에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 중국 연변에 위치한 초등학교 재학생 총 228명을 대상으로 이중언어능력의 균형 여부와 제3언어인 영어 학습 경험 유무에 따라 네 집단으로 나누고, 음운, 형태, 구문 세 개 영역에 있어서의 상위언어인지능력을 평가했다. 그 결과 이중언어능력이 균형 있게 발달한 집단이 불균형한 집단에 비해 전반적으로 우수하였으며, 제3언어를 학습한 경험이 있는 집단이 그렇지 않은 집단보다 더 우수하였다. 하지만 제3언어 학습 경험이 상위언어인지능력에 미치는 영향은 이중언어능력 균형 집단에서 훨씬 더 큰 것으로 드러났다. 이는 다중언어 학습이 인지능력의 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치기 위해서는 학습자의 제1언어와 제2언어능력이 일정 수준 이상 균형적으로 발달되어야 함을 시사한다.

리얼 버라이어티 쇼의 포맷화 가능성 연구

본고는 리얼 버라이어티 쇼의 포맷화 가능성을 탐구하기 위한 것이다. 국제 방송시장에서 프로그램 포맷 거래가 활발해지고 국내에서도 포맷에 대한 관심이 날로 고조되고 있는 가운데, 최근 대중적인 장르로 떠오른 국내 리얼리티프로그램의 포맷 수출이 시도됐다. 그러나 실제로 성사돤 것은 없는 상황이며 이는 리얼리티 텔레비전과 버라이어티 쇼가 결합된 신생 장르인 리얼 버라이티 쇼의 포맷화에 필요한 요소는 무엇인가 하는 논의는 가져왔다. 따라서 본고에서는 ‘한국 최초의 리얼 버라이어티쇼’를 표방하는 〈무한도전〉을 중심으로 리얼 버라이어티 쇼의 가능성 및 방안에 대하여 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 리얼 버라이어티 쇼의 원천이 된 리럴리티 텔레비전과 버리이어티 쇼의 포맷 구성요소들을 살펴봄으로써 리얼 버라이어티 쇼의 변별적 자질들을 가려냈다. 그 결과, 리얼 버라이어티 쇼는 형식적으로 개방적 구조와 열린 조합을 지향하는 버라이어티 쇼의 요소를 바탕으로, 내용적으로 현존감과 감정적, 사적 리얼리티를 강화한 리얼리티 텔레비전의 요소를 전략적으로 채용했다. 이는 시청자들의 몰입을 유도하여 오락성을 극대화하기 위한 목적이다. 이러한 구성요소들을 바탕으로 리얼 버라이어티 쇼로서 〈무한도전〉의 구성요소들을 탐색해보았다. 〈무한도전〉을 목표지향형, 체험지향형, 캐릭터강화형, 동일시형의 4가지 유형으로 나누어서 살펴보면, 멤버 개개인의 캐릭터를 전면에 내세우고 텍스트 안팎의 경계를 무너뜨림으로써 시청자들이 쉽게 몰입하며 재미를 느끼도록 구성돼있다. 부수적으로 이를 보강하는 요소로서 촬영현장에서 드러나는 제작진과의 소통과 제3의 입장을 대변하는 자막의 사용 등 제작진의 전략적 개입과 노출이 시청자들의 재미를 극대화시켰다. 그리고 가변적이고 탁력적으로 하위코너들을 운용함으로써 시의성을 적절히 반영하고 기획 의도에 부합하는 캐릭터를 완성하는 효과를 시도했다. 따라서 〈무한도전〉의 포맷화 작업 역시 캐릭터성을 바탕으로 진행되어야 할 것이다. 그러나 포맷이 “다른 프로그램과의 차별성을 확보하기 위해 지속적으로 유지, 구현될 수 있는 독창적인 요소”라고 할 때, 캐릭터성은 가변적인 요소로서 고정된 틀로 정의하기 어렵다는 한계가 있다. 여기서 열린 포맷(open format)에 대한 논의의 필요성이 제기된다. 열린 포맷은 완성본이 아니라 포맷의 구성요소들을 범주화함으로써 자유로운 조합을 보장하는 형태를 의미한다. 이는 차후 〈무한도전〉 포맷을 수입하는 국가의 문화적 풍토를 덧붙임으로써 문화적 장복을 극복할 수 있는 방법이 될 것이다. 또한 포맷은 완성된 상태가 아니라, 그 자체가 하나의 진화된 형태이다. 따라서 〈무한도전〉이 구축한 리얼 버라이어티 쇼와 같은 새로운 장르의 포맷화 작업을 시도하는 작업은 한국 방송 발전과 포맷 시장 개척에 있어서도 유용한 작업이 될 것이다. This thesis is written with the purpose to research the possibility of formatting real variety shows. Active trading of program formats in the international broadcasting market has increased interest in formats in the domestic market, we have aimed to explore possibilities and ways of formatting a real variety show, namely 〈The Unlimited Challenge〉 which claims to be “Korea’s first real variety show.” If we look at the 4 patterns of 〈The Unlimited Challenge〉, we can see that the unique individuality of each member is displayed upfront and boundaries within and without of the text are broken down, allowing viewers to be more easily immersed in the program and be entertained. Characterization is what plays the most notable role in how 〈The Unlimited Challenge〉 opens a new frontier of real variety shows, which escapes the genre of variety shows by selecting elements of reality TV. The story-telling strategy of 〈The Unlimited Challenge〉 also centers around characterization. However, we face the difficulty of defining the variable element of characterization as a fixed form. This presents the necessity for discussion of an open format. An open format does not refer to a completed form, but a form which categorizes constituting elements of formats, ensuring liberal blending of these elements. This will allow the country that imports the format of 〈The Unlimited Challenge〉 to overcome cultural differences by adding on their cultural elements. Formats are not finalized products, but an evolving process. Thus, attempting to format a new genre of real variety shows, such as 〈The Unlimited Challenge〉 will be a useful endeavor for development of Korea’s broadcasting system and also for pioneering in the format market.

BL 웹소설의 드라마 전환 전략 연구 : 왓챠 드라마 <시맨틱 에러>를 중심으로

최근 BL의 급부상으로 인하여 OTT 플랫폼을 기반으로 한 드라마화가 이어지고있다. 범용성을 추구하는 지상파 드라마와 달리 OTT 드라마는 다양한 취향을 반영하는 전략으로 확고한 소수의 향유층을 만족시키면서 정체성을 확보해왔다. 문제는 소수 취향의 개인적인 장르인 BL이 가장 대중적인 장르 중 하나인 드라마로 전환될 때 은밀함과 대중성이라는 두 요소 사이의 간극을 어떻게 극복하느냐이다. 웹소설 원작의 <시맨틱 에러>는 드라마에서 수용 가능한 BL 요소의 수위 조절과 OTT 플랫폼의 향유 특성에 따른 BL 취향의 극대화 사이에서 이율배반적인 균형점을 찾음으로써 시장성을 확보했다. 기존 BL 드라마와 차별화한 <시맨틱 에러>의 드라마화 전환 전략은 크게 세 가지로 볼 수 있다. 1) 로맨스 컨벤션의 전면화, 2) BL 정체성의 유연한 유지, 3) 영상과 음악의 전략적 활용이다. 첫째, BL 요소를 연성화하고 로맨스 컨벤션을 전면화함으로써 BL 장르에 익숙하지 않은 새로운 향유자의 유입을 용이하게 하였다. 둘째, 웹소설을 거쳐 웹툰으로 재현한 이미지와 배우들의 싱크로율을 높이고 대사를 그대로 활용함으로써 원작과의 연결성을 유지했다. 웹소설과 달리 드라마는 성애 묘사와 같은 BL 요소를 구현하는 데 한계가 있지만 적절한 수준에서 기존 향유자들의 상상 이미지를 강화해 BL의 정체성을 유지하고 즐길거리를 제공했다. 셋째, 주요 캐릭터의 감정을 대변하는 색채와 OST의 효과적 개입은 서사와 어우러져 드라마 자체의 소구 요소로서 적극 활용되었다. The recent rise of BL has led to a wave of dramas based on OTT platforms. Unlike terrestrial dramas that strive for universality, OTT dramas have secured their identity by satisfying an entrenched minority audience with strategies that reflect diverse tastes. The question is how to overcome the gap between the two elements of secrecy and publicity when BL, a personal genre with a minority taste, is transformed into drama, one of the most popular genres. <Semantic Error>, based on a web novel, secured its marketability by finding a balance between controlling the level of acceptable BL elements in the drama and maximizing BL tastes according to the enjoyment characteristics of OTT platforms. Differentiated from existing BL dramas, <Semantic Error>'s dramatization transformation strategy can be seen in three main ways. They are: 1) the totalization of romance conventions, 2) the flexible maintenance of the original content identity, and 3) the strategic use of video and music. First, by softening BL elements and front-loading romance conventions, it facilitated the influx of new audiences unfamiliar with the BL genre. Second, the drama maintained its connection to the original by increasing the synchronization rate of the images and actors reproduced in the webtoon through the web novel and utilizing the same dialogues. Unlike web novels, dramas have limitations in implementing BL elements such as depictions of sexuality, but at the right level, they reinforced the imaginary images of existing users to maintain the identity of BL and provide entertainment. Third, the colors that represent the emotions of the main characters and the effective intervention of the OST were actively utilized as appeal elements of the drama itself in combination with the narrative.

문화유산 관광객의 가치형성 요인 분석

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of attributes and benefits on place value in order to understand the casual relationships in the value formation of heritage tourists by using the Means-End Chain theory. Assessment of value perception was done at Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, and structural equation modeling was done on survey data obtained from a sample of 656 tourists. As a result, the tourism benefits of daily escape, health promotion, and social bonding based on walking amenity attributes, as well as experiential benefits including experiential attributes, were perceived as visit benefits, ultimately confirming visitors’ pursuit of recreation, architecture and traditional aesthetics, and education values. Thus, the findings of this study suggest the need to strengthen walking amenities such as the control of crowding and course stability.
