본 연구에서는 사재 형식에 따른 트러스 구조물의 안전성을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 트러스 구조물의 종류별 부재력과 절점 변위의 변화를 알아보기 위하여 하우트러스, 와렌트러스, 프래트트러스에 대하여 각각 구조해석을 수행하였다. 구조해석 결과 절점하중 재하시 수직재의 부재력은 하우트러스에서 크게 나타났으며, 상현재의 부재력은 와렌트러스의 중앙부 부재에서 가장 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 또한 온도하중 재하 시 상현재의 수직방향 변형률은 와렌트러스의 중앙부 부재에서 가장 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. In this thesis, the structural analysis was performed on the truss structures to investigate the member forces and the joint displacements of the truss structures. The howe truss, the warren truss, and the pratt truss are used in the structural analysis. From the structural analysis results, the maximum member force of the upper chord member was occurred in the warren truss, and that of the vertical member was occurred in the howe truss. According to the deformation diagrams by the temperature load, it was found that the maximum deformations were occurred in the warren truss structure.

국소 진행성 두경부암 환자에서의 Docetaxel과 Cisplatin 유도화학요법

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of induction chemotherapy with docetaxel and cisplatin in locally advanced head and neck cancer. Materials and Methods: Between June 1998 and December 2004, 30 patients were enrolled and among them, 20 patients were evaluable. Patients were treated with docetaxel 75mg/m² and cisplatin 60mg/m² on day 1 every 21 days. Results: The median age was 71(range 54-80) years old. All 20 patients were male. Nineteen patients had pathologically squamous cell carcinoma and 1 had undifferentiated carcinoma. Fourteen of 20 patients(70%) demonstrated an objective response with two(10%) achieving a complete clinical response and eleven(60%) a partial response. The median response duration was 5.3(1.6-32.1) months and the median time to progression was 5.6(1.4-33.8) months. The median overall survival of all patients was 14(range 2.2-34) months. The median overall survival of responders was 17.5(range 5-34) months and that of non-responders was 3.2(range 2.2-23) months, but it was not statistically significant(p=0.106). During a total of 92 cycles, granulocytopenia worse than CTC(Common toxicity criteria) grade 2 occurred in 6%, thrombocytopenia in 2%, and anemia in 3%, respectively. Non-hematologic toxicities were minor and easily controlled. Conclusion: The induction chemotherapy of docetaxel and cisplatin has moderate efficacy with acceptable toxicities in patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer.

The paper deals with stress and deflection analyses for newly developed PP-pipe structures of LG-Caltex company. In order to calculate the values of stress and deflection, the elements of pipes and its hanger supports are discretized. Through the numerical simulations using commercial FEM code, stresses and deflections of pipes with two or more hanger supports are obtained, and the stability of pipes are checked. Finally, optimal numbers of hanger supports satisfying allowable bending stress is proposed.

This paper deals with the vibration and noise characteristics of three different kinds of pipe structures (PVC pipe, cast-iron pipe and newly developed pp pipe). In order to measure the structure born noise, an impact force generated by dropping a small ball was applied to three different kinds of pipes. It was confirmed that the structure born noise could be reduced by employing a high damping material. Also, transmission loss of a pipe was investigated for various frequency ranges by using a speaker as a sound source.
