Perovskite Pb(Mn_{1/3}Sbu_{2/3})O_2-Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3\;(PMS-PZT) was prepared and ZnO doping effects on its piezoelectric properties were investigated. Pyrochlore phase was not identified in the PMS-PZT ceramics with $0\sim5\;mol\%$ ZnO sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs, and maximum sintered density of $7.92 g/cm^3$ was obtained. Piezoelectric charge constant and voltage constant increased to $359{\times}10^{-12}\;C/N\;and\;22.5{\times}10^{-13}\;Vm/N$, respectively, with increasing ZnO content. Mechanical quality factor reduced considerably with increasing ZnO content. When the ZnO content was 3 $mol\%$, electromechanical coupling factor and relative dielectric constant showed maximum values of $56\%$ and 1727, respectively. This should be evaluated by complicated variations of sintered density, tetragonality of lattice, grain size, and A-site vacancy generated by ZnO addition and $Zn^{2+}$ substitution.

The development of electronic control unit of particulate trap system using ceramic monolith filter requires a method for estimation of the accumulated mass of . T PM(total particulate malter) to control the proper timing of regeneration so as to avoid the thermal crack due to overloaded soot in the ceramic filter. Darcy's law for low Reynolds' number flow can offer a criterion to predict the accumulate mass of TPM by measuring intake airflow rate. exhaust gas tern perature. and differential pressure between the front and rear side of filter. The control algorithm adopting Darcy's law was evaluated in the engine bed test and vehicle test. The test results demonstrate the control algorithm successfuly predicts the accumulated mass of TPM by referring to look-up tables of pressure loss coefficients calculated for the engine operation conditions according to Darcy's law.<br/>

A particulate trap system with self regeneration method by meandered heating wires has been developed to be utilized for the small diesel vehicles. The design concept of the particulate trap system is based on minimization of the electric consumption during regeneration so as to be installed the diesel vehicles with the standard electric parts. The particulate trap system is composed of the specially designed mechanical and electronic parts and the control algorithm dedicated to the NA diesel engine of 3500cc engine displacement was developed to be implemented to the electronic control unit for the system. The particulate trap systems have been installed to the cargo trucks and garbage trucks and being operated to investigate the performance and durability in the field test.

Perovskite $Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3[PNN-PZT]$ ceramics were synthesized by conventional ceramic processing technique. In order to modify piezoelectric properties for sensor application in this system, NiO addition was considered to provide $Ni^{+2}$ as an acceptor, which was known to occupy with B site in the structure. The effect of NiO addition up to $8\;mol\%$ on the following piezoelectric properties as well as sintering properties was investigated. When NiO added more than $1\;mol\%$, average grain size was decreased and second phase was found to form. Moreover, the second phase caused decrease in relative dielectric constant $(\varepsilon_{33}T/\varepsilon0)$, electro-mechanical coupling factor $(k_p)$, and piezoelectric charge constant $(d_{33})$, while increasing mechanical quality factor $(Q_m)$. When $1\;mol\%$ NiO was added, density, dielectric properties and piezoelectric properties were abruptly increased.

A typical public transportation operating commercial urban railway lines(routes) and rolling stocks(various transportations) in metropolitan area such as in Seoul. At least when an error occurs during the operations in case of emergency events without any prompt treatments which special human technical factor such as human error which it is linked to unprecedented accidents(mishandling faults) are increasing every year, by different types of rolling stocks and running different lines. lay-out, signalling, as well as displays, and location of internal equipments, different design of operating method etc. To reduce unprecedented accidents this dissertation will research to reduce human error by standardizing driver`s cabin design. Futhermore, this dissertation will analyze survey`s based from almost have happen accidents, and already have occurred accidents, environment of driver`s cabin, also case study of actual work stress from personnel.
