The function and the role of school are changing according to various future-oriented education models such as open-ended learning cycle, community learning center, re-schooling, network system and de-schooling, which reflect recent social demands related to discussions on sustainability, low birth rate and ageing. what changes to our school buildings have been there? This study is aimed that shows the architectural change of school buildings and environments in 2000's. It reveals the architectural tendancy through some school buildings, 'the excellent facility school award' winner which Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have chosen annually since 1998. In the past decade, it is outstanding change that mass composition, window patterns and exterior wall materials are diversified greatly. The most of them have a opened main hall and multi-purpose spaces which give effective educational environment to students. Although visual changes are outstanding, we still need qualitative educational space program and improved school building design according to future-educational demands.

Weather and meteorological condition have direct and indirect effects on consumers` emotion and consumption pattern. Traditionally, physical location characteristics have been the major interest in the urban planning and real estate fields, and there has been insufficient research on the effect of meteorological characteristics on sales. Location characteristics and meteorological characteristics could affect sales individually and in combination. In this study, the effects of location characteristics and meteorological factors on sales were empirically analyzed using the five-month sales of 8 stores in the food and beverage services in Seoul as the dependent variable. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the Two-way random effect model was found to be more sophisticated than the general regression model, when analyzing the sales of the food and beverage services using the panel data. Second, the daily mean temperature, rain and the humidity were the meteorological variables that had a significant effect on the sales of the food and beverage services. The sales of the food and beverage services increased as the daily mean temperature increased and the humidity decreased. However, fine dust and wind speed did not have a significant effect on daily sales of food and beverage industry. Third, all physical variables affect on daily sales. The distance to the bus stop, the distance to the subway station, the width of the front road, and the size of the store have a positive effect on sales.

Location characteristics are important factors that affect the sales of retail businesses. However, location is fixed factors that are hard to change once they are settled. Sales revenue fluctuations after a location has been set act as the primary variables in fluctuations of the macroeconomic situation. This study conducted an empirical analysis on the effects of income and physical location on retail businesses. Three types of retail businesses are affected by disposable income. Income elasticity varies depending on the characteristics of the goods sales. Income elasticity of the industry that sells the shopping goods is higher than necessary goods. When disposable income increased 1%, income elasticity, would be changed, affected cell phone shops(2.184), restaurants(1.500), and supermarkets(1.083) respectively. The income elasticity of supermarkets which sell necessary goods has been the lowest, whereas income elasticity of cell phone shops which sell semi-durable goods, and restaurants which sell shopping goods was relatively high. In built environment characterize as easy accessibility and dense distribution of homogenous stores in a place with diverse land use for either commercial or business than residential area had a positive effect on the sales revenue of restaurants. Contrastly, location of commercial and business areas close to the public transportation facility associate with positive effect of supermarket sales. Dense distribution of homogenous stores in a place reveal a negative effect on its sales. Cell phone shops are affected by accessibility of public transportation, especially, subway station, and dense distribution of homogenous stores in a place with diverse land use for other uses than residential, commercial and business activities are likely to have a positive effect on sales.

This study aimed to: first, analyze the impact of disabled peoples perceptions of recreational venues on their behavioral intentions, in accordance with their identity formation and social capital accumulation; and second, in light of these impacts, present the implications for policies providing appropriate recreational venues. An existing analysis model was partially revised for this study to take into account the characteristics of disabled peoples leisure activities. According to all the research groups, and without exception, we can conclude that the place image affects the place identity and the place dependence, the latter in turn affects the behavioral intention, while neither the place identity nor the place image affects the behavioral intention. In all groups, functional attachment to (dependence on) places impacted on behavioral intentions, which was not the case for emotional attachment (a place’s identity). In other words, only dependence on those places that functioned satisfactorily as recreational venues influenced behavioral intentions.
