지역별 환경조건에 따른 용인시 초등학생의 환경친화적 태도 차이 분석

이 연구는 도시형, 농촌형 환경조건에 거주하는 초등학생들의 환경친화적 태도에 차이를 조사하여 지역별 환경조건에 따른 환경교육의 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 제시하기 위해 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 용인시 소재 2개 초등학교에 다니는 6학년 학생 51명을 대상으로 환경친화적 태도에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이 연구에서 사용한 환경친화적 태도의 검사도구는 자연환경, 환경오염, 에너지, 수자원, 환경보전과 대책, 건전한 소비생활의 6개 주제와 신념, 정서, 행동의 3개 영역으로 구성하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 평균, 백분율, t-검정을 하였다. 이 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 환경친화적 태도는 비교적 높은 편이며, 특히 자연환경 주제와 정서 영역의 백분위가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 도시형 지역의 학생들이 농촌형 지역의 학생들보다 환경친화적 태도가 높게 나타났으며, 특히 6개 주제 중 에너지와 3개의 영역 중 정서에서 가장 큰 차이가 나타났다. 결론적으로, 지역별 환경조건에 따른 학생들의 환경친화적 태도를 함양시키기 위하여 지역별 환경조건에 따른 맞춤형 환경교육 프로그램을 개발하는 후속 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다. This study was conducted to present basic data for revitalization of environmental education according to regional environmental conditions by examining the differences in the pro-environmental attitudes of elementary school students living in urban and rural environmental conditions. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a survey was conducted on the pro-environmental attitude of 51 students in the 6th grade attending two elementary schools in Yongin-si. The pro-environmental attitude test tool used in this study consists of six themes of natural environment, environmental pollution, energy, water resources, environmental conservation and countermeasures, and healthy consumption and three areas of belief, emotion, and behavior. Data collected through this study were averaged, percentage, and t-tested using the SPSS program. The results obtained from this study are as follows. First, the pro-environment attitude of 6th graders of elementary school was relatively high, and in particular, the percentile of the natural environment subject and the emotional domain was the highest. Second, students in urban areas showed higher pro-environmental attitudes than students in rural areas, and in particular, the largest difference was found in energy among six subjects and emotions among three domains. In conclusion, in order to cultivate students' pro-environmental attitudes according to regional environmental conditions, follow-up research should be conducted to develop customized environmental education programs according to regional environmental conditions.
정공피 추출물이 CoCl2에 의해 발생한 Neuroblastoma Cell Line SK-N-MC 세포자멸사의 보호효과

Objectives :Sorbus commixta cortex(SCC) has been traditionally used in Korea, China and Japan for the treatment of cough, asthma, and other bronchial disorders. Cobalt chloride(CoCl2) is used to induce hypoxic condition in vitro study. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of SCC extract on CoCl2-induced apoptosis in human SK-N-MC neuroblastoma cells. Methods :In order to investigate whether SCC possesses a protective effect on CoCl2-induced cytotoxicity in neuronal cells, MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay, DAPI(4,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) staining, TUNEL(terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end-labeling) assay, DNA fragmentation assay, flow cytometry, DNA fragmentation assay, and Western blotting were performed on SK-N-MC neuroblastoma cells. Results :Cells treated with CoCl2 exhibited several apoptotic features, while cells pre-treated with SCC prior to CoCl2 exposure showed a decrease in the occurrence of apoptotic features. CoCl2 increased HIF-1α expression, however, SCC treatment decreased CoCl2-induced HIF-1α expression. The extract of SCC treatment suppressed Bax and caspase-3 expressions, and increased Bcl-2 expression in human neuroblastoma SK-N-MC cells. Conclusions :These results suggest that SCC may exert a protective effect on CoCl2-induced apoptosis in SK-N-MC neuroblastoma cells.

The cyclic behavior of braces is complex due to their asymmetric properties in tension and compression. For accurately simulating the cyclic curves of braces, it is important to predict the major parameters such as cyclic brace growth, cyclic buckling load, incidence local buckling and fracture with good precision. For a given brace, the most accurate values of these parameters can be estimated throughout experiments. However, it is almost impossible to conduct experiments whenever an analytical model has to be established for many braces in building structures due to enormous cost and time. For avoid such difficulties, empirical equations for predicting constituent parameters are proposed from regression analyses based on test results of various braces. This study focuses on rectangular hollow structural section(HSS) steel braces, which have been popularly used in construction practice owing to its sectional efficiency.

The objective of this study is to propose a simple and accurate analytical model for HSS braces. For this purpose, a physical theory model is adopted. Rectangular hollow section steel (HSS) braces are considered in this study. To accurately simulate the cyclic behavior of braces using the physical theory model, empirical equations calculating constituent parameters are implemented on the analytical model, which were proposed in the companion paper. The constituent parameters are cyclic brace growth, cyclic buckling load, and the incidence of local buckling and fracture. The analytical model proposed in this study was verified by comparing actual and simulated cyclic curves of brace specimens. It is observed that the proposed model accurately simulates the cyclic behavior of the braces throughout whole response range.
Computationally Effi cient and Accurate Simulation of Cyclic Behavior for Rectangular HSS Braces

During earthquakes, braces behave in complex manners because of the asymmetric response nature of their responses in tension and compression. Hollow structural sections (HSS) have been popularly used for braces due to their sectional effi - ciency in compression. The purpose of this study is to accurately simulate the cyclic behavior of rectangular HSS braces using a computationally effi cient numerical model. A conceptually effi cient and simple physical theory model is used as a basis model. To improve the accuracy of the model, cyclic beam growth and buckling load, as well as the incidences of local buckling and brace fracture are estimated using empirical equations obtained from regression analyses using test data on rectangular HSS braces. The accuracy of the proposed model is verifi ed by comparing actual and simulated cyclic curves of brace specimens with various slenderness and width-to-thickness ratios.
