A study on chemical vapor deposition(CVD) of WO3 and the electrochromic properties of the CVD WO3 films have been carried out. The crystalinity, purity, and growth rate of the films depending on substrate temperatures are investigated. The highest growth rate is 8μm/min at the substrate temperatures above 300℃ and the estimated activation energy for overall film growth is about 45.9 kJ/mol at the temperatures of 225~275℃, where the CVD process is controlled by a surface reaction kinetics. The films grown below 275℃ are amorphous, while those deposited above 300℃ are crystalline. The effects of thickness and deposition temperature of the WO3 films on electrochromic activity are also investigated. The coloration efficiency of the films increases with increase in film thickness and decrease in deposition temperature.

Experiments have been conducted to investigate performance of compressed natural gas vehicle by single-bed and dual-bed type catalytic converter. All the catalysts was modifed to add to properly La, Zr and Ce concentration. The activity of methane oxidation varied as follows, Pd>Pt/Rh>Pt. Dual-bed type catalyst was better than single-bed type Pd catalysts in methane conversion. When NO was coexisted in mixture gas for investigating performance of catalysts, the conversion of methane oxidation was increased as many as NO concentration in mixture gas and the poison of NO was not effected to dual-bed type catalyst.
Analysis and removal of the stench emitted from indoor dust

The offensive odor produced from indoor dust accumulated inside a vacuum cleaner is quite unpleasant to the user. In this study, the odor of dust samples prepared under various conditions was examined using an olfactory method that employs the human sense of smell. In addition, the odorous compounds were analyzed by GC-MS. The odor intensity of the dust collected inside the vacuum cleaner increased in proportion to not only the humidity and temperature of the dust, but also to the cleaning period of the container where indoor dust was accumulated. GC/MS confirmed aldehydes to be the main odorous compounds. The dilution ratio at which the stench of the indoor dust was not detected was determined by using the triangle odor bag method.
