        The degradation of HDPE was carried out at 350, 400, 450, 500°C by semi-batch type reactor using H-Mordenite as a solid acid catalyst and thermally without any catalyst. The effects of catalytic bad also were investigated in liquid phase contact and in vapor phase contact. The carbon number of the liquid product from thermal degradation was broadly distributed in the range of ??. However, which HM, it was distributed mostly in the range of ??. For vapor phase contact, the yield of liquid products was much lower(52.6wt%) than thermal degradation(63.1wt%) and a solid acid catalyst randomly degraded HDPE into light fuel oil with an improved rate.

        Carbone dioxide reforming by methane was studied using a fixed bed reactor under an atmosphere. Transition metal catalysts and noble metals supported on α - AI₂O₃were compared. The order of activity was Ni> Pd> Co. The effects of metal additives on Ni/α - AI₂O₃were investigated for activated catalysts. The order of activity was Co > Cu > Fe. The catalyst performance depend on the CO₂/CH₄ratio and the reaction temperature.

      • Cascade-Neuro-Fuzzy-PID 적응제어에 대한 연구

        The Cascade-Neuro-PID controller has been developed and applied for the gas heating process. The parameters of the master PID controller were obtained as the outputs of the neural networks using system jacobian calculated from neural identifier. To do not fall in local minimum point optimized parameters of Neuro-PID controller, learn rate of neural network was calculated by fuzzy logic algorithm. In simulation results, the Cascade-Neuro-Fuzzy-PID controller has shown the good robust control response characteristics without overshoots.

        Polyethylene wax was grafted with maleic anhydride using DCPO, DTBP, BPO, AIBN as an initiators and xylene as a solvent, The effect of reaction parameters such as MAH and initiator concentration, reaction temperature on percent grafting were studied. The maximum MAH extent of grafting achieved was 4.5%. The occurrence of a grafting reaction was analyzed by FT-IR spectrum of the polymeric reaction product of strong carbonyl streching absorbtions at ?? band. The efficiency of the radical initiators in reaction of polyethylene was with maleic anhydride was in the following order : DCPO ≒ DTBP〉BPO, ≒ AIBN

      • 저밀도 폴리에틸렌에 불포화분자의 그라프트 반응

        The functionalization of low density polyethylene with MAH (maleic anhydride), DEF (diethyl fumarate), DBM (dibutyl maleate) and MMA (methyl methacrylate) as a polar functional monomer and DCPO (dicumyl peroxide), BPO (benzoyl peroxide) as radical initiator was investigated. The grafting was conducted under different operating conditions to investigate the effects of various factors, such as unsaturated molecules concentration, initiator concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time. Also in order to investigated degree of functionalization, the grafted polyethylene wax characterized by FT-IR. DSC and SEM. The results of FT-IR spectra showed the grafting polymers analyzed a C=O absorbance band. A melting temperature and heat of fusion were confirmed by DSC. The optimal grafting yield was obtained at an unsaturated molecules concentration, 5g, initiator concentration, 0.8g reaction temperature, 140℃, reaction time, 3h. The grafting yield of the unsaturated molecules was as follow using DCPO; MAH>DEF>DBM>MMA and the grafting yield of the unsaturated molecules was follow using BPO; MAH>DEF>DBM=MMA and DCPO was found to be an excellent initiator for a grafting reaction.

      • 이산화탄소에 의한 메탄 개질반응에서 니켈계 담지촉매의 탄소 침적에 관한 연구

        The reforming of methane by carbon dioxide is studied over nickel based catalysts, which compared the influence of the support in catalyst activity and carbon deposition. The experiments were carried out at atmospheric pressure using a fixed bad flow reactor. The catalytic activity and carbon deposition is influenced by support. The Ni/α-Al₂O₃showed high methane conversion. The Ni/La₂O₃ showed high methane conversion, but the reactor was plugged in 15 h. The carbon deposition was observed in all nickel based catalysts. Compared to Ni/α-Al₂O₃, Ni/La₂O₃, catalyst showed higher whisker carbon formation. Whisker carbon was not observed in the Ni/MnO₂. The carbon deposition of the nickel based catalysts increased in the order MnO₂〈SiO₂〈α-Al₂O₃〈TiO₂〈La₂O₃. The carbon deposition on the catalysts was affected by reaction conditions such as temperature, molar ratio(CO₂/CH₄).

        A study on the carbon deposition of nickel catalysts for carbon dioxide reforming by methane was performed. The experiments were carried out at atmospheric pressure using a fixed bed flow reactor. The nickel catalysts for the carbon dioxide reforming were compared concerning the influence of promoter on catalytic activity and carbon deposition. The coke deposition on the promoted nickel catalysts was remarkably diminished with the addition of promoters such as K, Mn and Sm. The activitie of the promoted nickel catalysts decreased in the order Ni-Li> Ni-Mg > Ni-Ca > Ni > Ni-K > Ni-Na> Ni-Cs. The carbon deposition of the promoted nickel nickel catalysts decreased in the order Ni-Mg> Ni-Li> Ni> Ni-Ne> Ni-K> Ni-Cs. In the Ni-K/α-Al_2O_3, its activity was maintained over 70 hours at 700℃ without deactivation.

        Na<sup>+</sup>/MgO 촉매상에서 메탄의 Oxidative Coupling 반응의 속도론적 해석

        The oxidative coupling of methane was studied kinetically using $Na^+(50wt%)/MgO$ catalyst at 710, 730, 750, 770 and $790^{\circ}C$ in a fixed bed flow reactor at the atmospheric pressure under differential conversion conditions. Through curve fitting, it was found that the Langmuir-Hinshelwood type mechanism was fitted to this reaction rather than Rideal-Redox type or Eley-Rideal type mechanism. Therefore, it was proposed that the $O_2{^-}$ or $O_2{^{2-}}$ species on the surface was related to the production of $CH_3{\cdot}$. The estimated activation energy of $CH_3{\cdot}$ production was about 39.3kcal/mol. Moreover, as the result of curve fitting, the stoichiometric coefficient of $O_2$ for the production of $CH_3{\cdot}$ to produce $CO_x$was approximately 1.5. Accordingly, it could be concluded that the $CH_3O_2{\cdot}*$ was prouduced through the partial oxidation of $CH_3{\cdot}$ with the surface oxygen. 고정층 상압 유통식 반응기에서 메탄의 전화율 10% 미만의 범위에서 $Na^+(50wt%)/MgO$ 촉매를 사용하여 반응온도 710, 730, 750, 770, $790^{\circ}C$에서 메탄과 산소의 분압을 변화시켜 가면서 메탄의 oxidative coupling반응을 수행하여 이산화탄소와 에탄의 생성속도를 구하고 curve fitting으로 속도식을 증명하였다. Langmuir-Hinshelwood, Rideal-Redox, Eley-Rideal형 반응 메카니즘 중에서 Langmuir-Hinshelwood형 반응 메카니즘이 실험 결과와 가장 잘 일치하였으며, $CH_3{\cdot}$의 생성에 관여하는 산소종은 촉매 표면의 $O_2{^-}$ 또는 $O_2{^{2-}}$으로 제시할 수 있었고, 이때의 활성화 에너지는 약 39.3kcal/mol이었다. 또한, curve fitting결과 $CO_x$을 생성하는 산소의 화학 양론계수 x는 약 1.5이었으며, 이로부터 $CH_3{\cdot}$의 일부가 표면산소에 의해서 산화반응을 거쳐 $CH_3O_2{\cdot}*$ 형성을 추측할 수 있었다.

        The performance of packed bubble column was investigated in a 3 inches I.D. acryl column packed with spiral wires. The effect of temperature on a gas hold-up(??) was studied from 15℃ to 45℃ in air-distilled water system with superficial gas velocity variation, and the over-all height of transfer unit ((H.T.U.)??), volumetric liquid phase mass transfer coefficient (??) and over-all absorption efficiency (??) were studied from 25℃ to 55℃ in CO₂-air-distilled water system, holding other conditions constant. The resulte showed that the ?? had the maximum value at 35℃ in unvibrational air-distilled water system and 25℃ in vibrational acceleration system. And the value of ??, ?? and E? were increased with increasing temperature up to 45℃ and decreased with increasing temperature above this value in CO₂ absorption system. The effect of temperature on k?a and (H.T.U.)? was relatively high, and effect on ?? and ?? was slight.
