지상파 및 다채널 텔레비전 시청의 수동성과 능동성 비교 연구

This study examines 'the comparable patterns of TV viewing' with an aim to identify the active/passive characteristics of TV viewers nationwide. The similarity of time rates devoted to viewing each genre by respective viewer groups of individual genre and the homogeneity of demographic composition of those groups are analyzed respectively in terrestrial and multi-channel environments. The analysis of time rates of each genre leads to the similar patterns of TV viewers nationwide, which is also found analogous in both groups of viewers in terrestrial and multi-channel environment. However, the hypothesis that the degree of homogeneity among viewers of each genre in terrestrial environment may be lower than in the counterpart of multi-channel is not consistently proved in this study. These results lead to the conclusion that TV viewing tends to be passively operated under the low involvement conditions. Also, it can be suggested than multi-channel services do not bring about, on a full scale, genre-loyal viewing or any refined categorization among the groups of viewers, but still being complementing terrestrial channels.

An experiment was conducted to investigate the relationship between the DVEs and subtitles provided with anchor speech in TV news and the news evaluation, trust and agenda recognition. 120 university students were asked to watch four types of news that differed in the contents of their DVEs and subtitles, and then they evaluated the fairness, sensibility, and irritability of the news. The content of DVEs and subtitles were related to the irritability evaluation and trust of the news, and it was not related with the fairness and sensibility evaluation. When the DVEs and subtitles emphasizing the stimulating aspects of the issue were given, the irritability was highly evaluated and the trust was low. The evaluation on news fairness affected the news trust. The more they rated news as fair, the greater the trust in news. Unlike the assumption in this study, DVEs and subtitles were not the main factors influencing the news agenda perception, and the viewers tended to perceive the agenda based on the news content itself.

본 연구는 TV 포맷의 유형화 탐색을 통해 포맷의 범위와 속성을 명확하게 규명하고, 향후 산업적 분석 및 학술적 연구에 적용할 수 있는 TV 포맷의 분류 체계를 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 기존 문헌의 장르 유형 및 포맷 유형 분류에 대해 검토하고, 이를 토대로 포맷의 유형 분류를 위한 기준을 제안했다. 기존의 프로그램 장르 분류에 적용되었던 프로그램의 형식, 내용, 소재뿐 아니라, 흥미 유도 장치, 이야기 전개 방식, 수용자와의 상호작용 방식, 포맷의 구체성 등 TV 포맷의 다양한 속성을 반영하는 포괄적인 분류 기준을 제안했다. 그리고 제안된 분류 기준을 토대로 TV 포맷을 유형화하는 두 가지 방식, 즉 유형학적 접근과 기능지향적 접근을 제안했다. 유형학적 접근의 유형화는 상호배타적이면서 포괄적인 유형을 제안하는 방식으로 여러 유형의 TV 포맷을 위계질서 체계로 요약하고 정돈할 수 있다. 기능지향적 접근의 유형화는 다양한 기능을 기준으로 TV 포맷을 분류함으로써 여러 포맷의 기능적 유사점 및 차이점을 비교할 수 있다. 제안된 포맷 유형화 방식을 실제로 적용하는 사례를 분석하고, 유형화 탐색의 실용적 · 학문적 함의와 한계점에 대해 논의했다. This study aimed to identify the scopes and attributes of TV format by searching for a typology and to propose a classification system of TV format applicable to the industrial analysis and academic research. For this purpose, this study first analyzed the existing types of a genre and types of TV format. Then it suggested new inclusive standards reflecting the various attributes of TV format apart from such old standards as forms, contents and materials of a program. They are appealing point, development of a narrative, interaction type, and the degree of format specification. With these standards, the two ways to classify TV formats were proposed; typological approach and function oriented approach. The former was an approach to identify the inclusive but at the same time mutually exclusive types. TV formats were summed up and arranged in a hierarchical system by this approach. By the latter approach TV formats were classified based on the various functions. The functional similarities and differences of many formats could be compared by this approach. The proposed typology was applied to a case study on Korean entertainment TV programs. Academic and practical implications of the typology were discussed.

어떤 프랑스어를 가르쳐야 하는가? : 퀘백 프랑스어의 규범 문제에 관하여

퀘백의 프랑스어는 프랑스어권에 속하는 다른 지역들과 비교하여 언어적 특성이 뚜렷하다. 퀘백 프랑스어가 갖는 여러 가지 특징들은 영국 지배의 역사와 오랜 기간 동안 프랑스와 단절된 채로 언어가 발달되어 왔다는 사실에 기인한다. 한편, 퀘백 프랑스어만의 독특한 특징들로 인해 퀘백에서 프랑스어 규범을 정립하는 일은 결코 간단한 문제가 아니다. 이 지역의 프랑스어 규범 정립과 관련하여서는 크게 두 가지 입장이 존재하는데, 그 하나는 퀘백에서 실제로 사용되는 프랑스어를 바탕으로 ‘le français standard du Québec’을 정립해야 한다는 입장과, 다른 하나는 프랑스를 비롯한 프랑스어권 국가들로부터 고립되는 일을 막기 위해서는 ‘le français intemational’을 도입해야 한다는 입장이다. 본고를 통해서는 퀘백의 프랑스어 규범 정립의 문제와 관련하여 프랑스어 규범의 문제 또는 프랑스어의 질(qualité)의 문제에 관심을 갖게 된 역사적 배경에 대해 살펴보고, 퀘백에서 이 문제를 둘러싸고 대립하는 두 가지 의견에 대해 살펴보도록 한다. 그리고, 프랑스어 규범과 관련한 교 육 관계자들의 입장에 대해 알아보도록 한다.

프랑스 이민자 가정 자녀들의 모어 교육(ELCO) 폐지에 대한 고찰

Cet article se propose de passer en revue le programme ELCO, qui était en charge de l’enseignement de langue maternelle des enfants de familles immigrées dans le cadre des politiques multiculturelles en France. Depuis le milieu des années 70, le programme ELCO a été mis en oeuvre dans le but d’aider les immigrés à rentrer dans leur pays d’origine à mesure que la politique d’immigration évolue avec la crise économique en France. Mis en oeuvre dans le cadre d’accords mutuels avec neuf pays, le programme ELCO offrait un enseignement de langue maternelle aux enfants de familles immigrées. Cependant, en 2020, le président Emmanuel Macron a déclaré son abolition totale et ELCO est transformé à des enseignements internationaux de langues étrangères. Cette étude se concentrera particulièrement sur les causes de l’échec de ce disposif. À cette fin, elle examinera le contexte de l’introduction d’ELCO à travers le processus de changement de la politique d’immigration française, et examinera des dysfonctionnements de ce programme. En outre, nous examinerons les processus qui ont conduit à la crise actuelle de l’abolition de l’ELCO et introduirons le plurilinguisme, qui attire l’attention comme une alternative à ce programme. Enfin, bien que la politique ait échoué, nous ferions quelques suggestions sur les implications que le programme ELCO peut apporter à l’éducation bilingue en Corée.
