        타플루프로스트 점안 후 발생한 단순포진각막염 1예

        Purpose: To report a single case of herpes simplex keratitis after application of 0.015% tafluprost eye drops. <br />Case summary: A 68-year-old male presented with left eye discomfort, epiphora, decreased visual acuity and hyperemia. The patient was diagnosed with glaucoma 6 weeks prior and started on 0.015% tafluprost eye drops in left eye and 0.15% brimonidine in both eyes. On slit lamp examination dendritic epithelial defect was observed and the patient was diagnosed with herpes simplex keratitis. The 0.015% tafluprost treatment was discontinued and 0.15% brimonidine was applied in both eyes twice a day. The herpetic keratitis in his left eye resolved completely in 2 weeks with acyclovir ointment and oral antiviral agent. No further recurrence was observed in the following 3 months.<br /> J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2013;54(12):1950-1953

      • VOD 시스템에서 일괄전송을 위한 채널 스케줄링 기법

        주문형 비디오 시스템은 광대역 통신 네트워크를 통하여 사용자가 원하는 비디오를 융통성 있게 제공하는 저자 비디오 대여 시스템이다. 일괄전송 기법에 의하여 동일한 비디오 스트림을 서비스한다고 가정할 때, 하나의 비디오 스트림이 server-둥에서 이용 가능할 때마다 어떤 비디오가 어느 순간에 스케줄링 할 것 인지의 문제가 제기된다. 따라서, 각 스트림마다 변동하는 자원 대역폭을 처리하기 위해서 채널 할당 전략에 관한 것이 중요한 문제로 대두되었다. 본 논문에서는 규잉을 고려한 세 가지 스케줄링 정책 즉, 누적 대기 시간 기법(Cumulative Waiting Time), 평균 대기 시간(Mean Waiting Time) 기법, 그리고 예측 인기도 가중치(Predictable Popular Factor)에 의한 방법을 제안하였다. 누적 대기 시간 기법은 인기 있는 비디오에 대하여 우수한 반면, 평균 대기 시간 기법은 비인기 비디오에 대하여 우수하였다. 예측 인기도가중치에 의한 기법은 비디오에 대한 평균 대기 시간과 사용자의 요구 취소율에 대하여 다소 공평함을 알 수 있었다. Video-On-demand system provides electronic video rental services from remote video servers on a broadband communication networks. When we assume some situation that serve the same video stream by batching, each time single video stream became available at server-end side, we face the problem that what video stream to be scheduled at what time instant. Hence, in order to manage the resource bandwidth which is different at each stream, the policy of channel allocation became important factor. In this work, we proposed three type of scheduling policies with queueing, as are cumulative Waiting Time(CWT), Mean Waiting Time(MWT) and Predictable Popular Factor(PPF). While CWT policy is good for popular video, MWT policy was good for non-popular video. Also, we know that PPT policy has some fairness for average wait time and reneging rate of user requests.

        백내장 수술 중 발생하는 홍채이완증후군의 유병률 및 위험인자

        Purpose: To determine the incidence and risk factors of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome (IFIS) in patients undergoing cataract surgery. Methods: The present study included 981 eyes of 655 patients who underwent cataract surgery and development and grade of IFIS were recorded. Correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationship between the IFIS and risk factors such as α1-adrenergic antagonist (tamsulosin, terazosin, alfuzosin), benzodiazepine, 5-α-reductase inhibitor, age, gender, hypertension, diabetes and glaucoma. Results: IFIS developed in 178 eyes (18.1%) out of 981 eyes. There was a correlation between the development of the IFIS and α1-adrenergic antagonist and benzodiazepine and male gender; however, there was no correlation with 5-α -reductase inhibitor, age, gender, hypertension, diabetes and glaucoma. IFIS grade tended to be higher as the cumulative dosage of the α1-adrenergic antagonist increased. Odds ratio of the patients using tamsulosin was the highest among the other risk factors, which was 3.8 times higher than the patients using terazosin, 9.0 times higher than the patients using alfuzosin and 11.1 times higher than the patients using benzodiazepine. Among patients who underwent cataract surgery on both eyes and who were confirmed with IFIS in 1 or both eyes, no significant grade differences between the 2 eyes were noted. Conclusions: Alpha 1-adrenergic antagonist and benzodiazepine were risk factors for the development of the IFIS, and as the cumulative dosage of the α1-adrenergic antagonist increased, the probability of developing a higher grade of IFIS increased. Therefore, predicting and preparing for potential IFIS in patients who have the above-mentioned risk factors are necessary before planning cataract surgery. Additionally, the IFIS aspect of the first eye could be utilized as a predictive value for developing IFIS profile of the fellow eye. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2014;55(1):73-78

        서로 다른 프로스타글란딘 제제 점안 후 발생한 단순포진각막염 1예

        Purpose: To report a case of herpetic keratitis after administration of two different prostaglandin analogues. Case summary: A 68-year-old female with a history of herpetic keratitis in her right eye after using latanoprost seven years previous presented with redness, mild ocular pain and tearing in the same eye. She had also been prescribed travoprost eye drops for both eyes for uncontrolled glaucoma one month earlier. The cornea in her right eye showed a dendritic epithelial defect with focal epithelial erosions. Travoprost treatment was discontinued, and the herpetic keratitis recovered completely in ten days with acyclovir ointment and oral agent.         직접구조강도 평가를 위한 선체 국부구조 상세요소분할모델 자동생성

        Under the circumstances of Common Structure Rules for Bulk Carrier and Oil Tanker (CSR-H; Harmonized Common Structure Rules) which is on effective from July 2015, the modeling area for finite element (FE) has been extended to forward and afterward cargo hold regions of a ship, more design man-hours are required in the FE modeling than that of previous rules. In addition, it is mandatorily required to generate the fine-mesh model for hot spot zones, but the target area has been extended so extensively, more design man-hours are required for fine-mesh modeling than that of coarse mesh modeling. Moreover, the local area for fatigue analysis should be modeled with very fine-mesh. However, these kinds of FE modeling for different level of detail and different purpose of analysis are time consuming and repetitive works. In this research, we would like to introduce the auto fine mesh modeling functionality that can generate fine-mesh and very-fine mesh model from the coarse mesh model, and retrieve and restore them to coarse mesh for certain purpose by re-mesh functionality. Through this process, FE model can be managed and reused with a consistent FE model from the initial design stage to detailed design stage of a ship.

        The finite element modeling of a ship for hull structural analysis on the basis of new harmonized common structural rules (CSR-H) is to be extended to the cargo holds in fore and after body of a ship. Unlike the parallel middle-body where the external and internal features of hull are equal along to the longitudinal direction of a ship, in fore and after body, the external and internal features of hull vary linearly or even irregularly in forms of a surface or a curve along to the longitudinal direction of a ship. Thus, it needs lots of design man-hours for the modeling for structural analysis. In order to save man-hours in initial structural design phase of a ship, the specified 3D CAD system has been adopted in shipbuilding industry. Through the interface between CAD and CAE (rule scantling and direct strength assessment), design man-hour in initial design phase can be saved even under the environment of CSR-H.
