The incidence of thyroid cancer has increased rapidly worldwide, although most patients can survive for a long time without developing symptoms. While most thyroid cancers are treated with thyroidectomy alone, some patients are given additional radioactive iodine (RAI) in the form of 131I to treat thyroid cancer metastasis. RAI is associated with acute and chronic complications. Secondary malignancies are the most important in long-term cancer survivors. While many studies have reported the occurrence of acute myeloid leukemia after high-dose RAI, there are few reports on chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) after low-dose RAI treatment. Moreover, previous cases of CML following thyroid cancer were reported before the tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) era. Here, we describe two cases of CML following thyroid cancer that were successfully treated with second-generation TKIs. (Korean J Med 2016;91:70-74)

『승정원일기』를 통해 살펴본 영조의 송절차 복용에 관한 연구

『승정원일기』에 실린 기사를 분석하여 조선 21대 왕인 영조의 송절차 복용에 대하여 고찰하였다. 송절차는 우슬, 오가피, 송절 등의 재료로 술을 빚어 복용하는 처방으로 『승정원일기』를 통틀어 영조 대에만 등장하는 처방이다. 영조는 송절차가 다리의 병의 치료에 효과가 뛰어난 처방이라고 인식하였고, 신하와 의관들이 ‘차’라고 명명한 것에 힘입어 다양한 방법으로 복용하였다. 금주령을 내린 후 이를 어긴 신하를 처벌한 상황에서 술의 형태를 띤 처방을 복용하는 영조로서는 내적 갈등이 많았으며, 스스로 송절차를 술이라고 인식하였다. 영조 대의 신하와 의관들은 왕의 몸은 국가의 안위와 관련된 것이기에 질병 치료를 위하여 송절차를 복용해야만 하는 명분을 만들어 줌으로써 영조의 행위를 합리화시켰다. An article published in the 『Seungjeongwon Ilgi』 was analyzed to examine the take a dose Songjeol-tea by King Yeongjo, the 21st king of the Joseon Dynasty. Songjeol-tea is a prescription that makes alcohol with some ingredients and Songjeol[松節], and appears only in King-Yeongjo era throughout 『Seungjeongwon Ilgi』. King Yeongjo recognized that the Songjeol-tea was an excellent prescription for the treatment of leg diseases, and took it in various ways thanks to the title of tea by his officials and doctors. There were many internal conflicts as King Yeongjo taking a prescription in the form of alcohol in a situation where a official who violated it was punished after issuing prohibition of drinking alcohol, and he himself recognized the Songjeol-tea as alcohol. The officials and doctors of King Yeongjo s reign rationalized King Yeongjo s actions by creating a justification for taking the Songjeol-tea to treat the disease because the king s body was related to the safety of the state.

김승옥 소설 「무진 기행」에 드러나는 감정 연구 - 윤희중의 심리를 중심으로

래저러스(Lazarus)는 분노, 불안, 죄책감, 수치심 등의 경험에 의해 일어나는 열다섯 개의 감정에 대해 각각의 감정마다 뚜렷한 드라마나 독특한 줄거리가 있다고 한다. 그것은 개인의 경험에 부여하는 개인적인 의미를 전달하고, 각 감정마다 하나의 플롯이 전개된다고 한다. 만일 그 플롯을 안다면, 우리는 그 사람이 경험할 감정을 예측할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 김승옥 소설 「무진 기행」에서 소설 속의 주인공의 감정을 연구하였다. 주인공 윤희중의 무진에 대한 기억과 감정, 주변인에 표출되는 분노, 타인에 대한 욕망이라는 관점에서 살펴보았다. 윤희중의 무진에 대한 기억은 그를 현재가 아닌 과거의 윤희중으로 시간을 되돌리는 구실을 한다. 윤희중은 현재에서 과거의 기억을 서술하고 있지만, 무진에서 경험하는 모든 일들은 과거의 그가 경험하고 겪은 일들을 기억하고 기억 속의 그를 직면하게 한다. 윤희중은 과거 전쟁으로 인한 사회 상황을 어머니에 대한 분노로 향하지만 결국 자신에게 표출하고, 현재 서울의 바쁜 삶에서 아내와 장인에게 대해 분노하지만 그 대상은 무진에서 만나는 다른 약한 대상에게 표출한다. 윤희중은 어릴 때부터 그의 욕망이 충분히 충족되지 못한다. 어머니에 의해 형성된 아니마의 이미지는 부정적인 것으로 아내와의 사랑도 대등한 관계에서 이루어지지 못한다. 아내는 어머니와 같은 존재로 인식하고, 그가 의존하는 대상이 된다. 그의 총족되지 못한 욕망은 그가 무진으로 왔을 때 그가 만나는 모든 여자를 자신의 일부로 혹은 예전에 알던 사람으로 착각하고 충동적인 욕망을 일으킨다. 결국 하인숙은 살아있는 존재로 그의 욕망을 충족시켜주는 존재가 된다. 그러나 그 또한 하룻밤의 무진에서의 추억으로 간주될 뿐이다. 윤희중의 감정은 불안하고, 분노하고, 충동적인 감정을 가지고 있다. 그의 이러한 감정은 그가 과거에 받았던 수치심과 모욕감과 더불어 그의 무책임한 행동으로 부끄러움까지 느끼게 한다. 그의 이러한 감정은 외적으로 그가 성공한 삶을 사는 것처럼 보이지만 내적으로 그는 과거 어둡던 시절의 모습을 그대로 간직한 미성숙한 삶을 살아가고 있음 보여준다. Lazarus says each emotion has a distinct drama or unique story about the 15 emotions caused by the experience of anger, anxiety, guilt, shame, etc. It conveys the personal meaning of the individual’s experience and says that a plot develops for each emotion. This plot is distinct from others, and in order to understand how one emotion occurs, a plot that distinguishes it from another must be studied. If we knew the plot, we could predict what the person would experience. In this regard, Kim Seung-ok’s feelings for the main character were studied in the novel, “Infinite Challenge.” It was viewed from the perspective of the main character’s memory and feelings about the movie’s Mujin, the anger shown to those around him, and compassion or desire for others. The memory of Yoon Hee-jung’s Mu-jin plays a role in turning him back to the past, not the present. Yoon Hee-joong describes past memories in the present, but everything he experiences in Mujin remembers his experiences and experiences in the past and faces him in the memory. Yoon Hee-joong heads to anger against his mother in the past war, but eventually expresses to him the anger of his wife and father-in-law in his busy life in Seoul, but the target is to other weak objects he meets in Mujin. Yoon Hee-joong’s desire is not fully met from an early age. Anima’s image formed by her mother is negative, and her love with her wife is not equal. The wife recognizes her as a mother, and she becomes the object of her dependence. His unfulfilled desire creates an impulsive desire by mistaking all the women he meets as part of his or her former acquaintance when he comes to Mujin. After all, Hein-suk is a living being that satisfies his desires. But he is also regarded as a memory of a night’s Mujin. Yoon Hee-jung’s feelings are volatile, angry, and impulsive. His feelings, along with the shame and insult he received in the past, also make him feel ashamed of his irresponsible behavior. His feelings seem to be living a successful life on the outside, but inside, he shows that he is living an immature life, as he did in his dark past.

이청준 소설 「눈길」에 나타난 원형적 상징 연구

본 연구는 이청준 소설 「눈길」에 나타나는 계절과 자연현상과 사물에 대한 다양한 상징들을 원형적 의미로 접근하여 분석하고자 한다. 원형과 상징은 어디에서나 보편적이고, 널리 퍼져 있는 일정한 형식들(form)이고, 정신의 삶에서 고유한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 「눈길」에 주로 나타나는 계절은 여름과 겨울이다. 하루의 주기는 새벽 및 이른 아침, 저녁 혹은 밤의 시간이다. 현재는 여름이고, 기억 속의 그날은 겨울이다. 「눈길」에서 ‘나’는 여름이라는 계절 속에 어머니와 갈등이 첨예하게 드러난다. 이러한 갈등은 어머니의 기억 속 그날의 이야기를 들으며, 해소되고, ‘사랑’이라는 감정으로 재생하게 된다. ‘나’와 어머니의 기억 속 그날은 겨울로서 긴 갈등과 시련의 시간이었다. ‘나’와 어머니는 마적의 타미노처럼 물과 불의 시련을 뚫고 17,8년이라는 세월을 살아왔으며, 그러한 갈등은 어머니의 깊고 넓은 사랑을 확인하고, 해소된다. ‘나’의 기억 속에 ‘눈길’은 ‘죄책감’과 ‘사랑’이라는 공통의 감정에 서로를 이해하게 된다. 「눈길」에서의 모자간의 ‘사랑’은 어머니의 아들에 사랑도 깊지만, 아들의 어머니에 대한 사랑도 깊음을 알 수 있다. This study is designed to study the original form symbols in the novel “Snowy Road”. As a result of looking at the circular symbols in “Snowy Road” each symbol represents the feelings of “ I ” and the mother. Although “ I ” and “ my mother"s feelings conflict, ” they confirm each other"s true feelings and regrow the feelings of conflict with “ love ”. The “ love ” between mother and son in “Snowy Road” shows that the mother"s son is deeply in love, but also the son"s mother"s love is very deep.
