In this paper, the effects of phase noise on the radar system were analyzed in terms of 3 point of view. The impact(s) on the compressed pulse waveform, the FMICW(Frequency Modulated Interrupted Continuous Wave) radar performance and the receiver sensitivity were investigated. From the investigation, it was indicated that the phase noise over 10 kHz offset frequency makes the side lobe level of compressed pulse worse. Also it was founded that the FMICW radar performance, especially at the noise level of range profile, is related to the phase noise. Finally, the investigation showed that the phase noise at local oscillator affects the receiver sensitivity.
모노펄스 레이다용 다채널 집적 수신기의 수신 채널 보정

모노펄스 레이다용 다채널 집적 수신기 내에 존재하는 채널 간 간섭은 최근 수신기의 소형화 추세에 따라 그 영향성이 늘어날 것으로 예상된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 모노펄스 레이다에 적용되는 다채널 집적 수신기의 수신 채널간 간섭을 보정하여, 표적 각도 검출 성능 왜곡을 배제할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 스위치, 방향성 결합기, 정합 부하, ADC(Analog to Digital Converter), 채널 보정 신호원 등을 이용하여 보정 하드웨어 구성을 제안하였다. 또한, 스위치와 보정 신호원을 제어하여 총 9개의 산란 파라미터를 획득하고, 안테나로부터 출력되는 모노펄스 신호와 채널 간 간섭이 존재하는 상태에서의 다채널 수신기를 통과한 모노펄스 신호 간의 수학적 관계를 이용하여 왜곡되지 않는 모노펄스 신호를 복원하는 방법을 제안하였다. The effect of inter-channel coupling in multi-channel monopulse receiver is expected to increase by miniaturization trend of receiver. Therefore, in this paper, calibration method is proposed to compensation for inter-channel coupling in receiver of monopulse radar. And it can prevent distortion of angle information of target. Hardware configuration that consists of switch, directional coupler, matched load, ADC(Analog to Digital Converter), signal source of calibration is proposed to calibration. Total nine scattering parameters are obtained by controlling the switch and signal source of calibration. After that, method for restoring the undistorted signal is proposed using the mathematical relationship between the monopulse signal output from the antenna and the monopulse signal passing through the multi-channel receiver in the presence of inter-channel coupling.
스마트 공장 운영 설계를 위한 3D 공장 시뮬레이션 기반 사전 공정 연구

Traditional manufacturing systems can be transformed into smart factory by introducing modern hardware and software solutions, which also require innovations in manufacturing process and working methods. Moreover, such transformation must be carefully managed since it generally accompanies significant amounts of costs and time. Nevertheless, many manufacturing companies focus solely on introduction of hardware and software solutions, which can lead to failure to achieve the objective of smart factory. In order to address this problem, performances of existing manufacturing process and alternative manufacturing process implemented by new solutions should be systematically evaluated and compared at the early stage of smart factory transformation. Simulation is a practical approach for analyzing manufacturing systems. Also, modern 3D factory simulation softwares provide additional visual information helpful for understanding and validating simulation models. In this context, this paper proposes 3D factory simulation-based process pre-study that can be used to make decisions on smart factory operational design.
이동 통신 기지국 안테나의 수동 상호 변조 왜곡에 진동이 미치는 영향 분석 및 개선 방안

본 논문은 800 ㎒ 대역의 CDMA 이동 통신 기지국의 안테나에서 보편적으로 발생되고 있는 수동 상호 변조 왜곡 특성에 대하여 조명해 보고 진동이 수동 상호 변조 왜곡에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 그에 대한 개선방안을 연구하였다. 이동 통신 기지국은 대부분 건물 옥상이나 철탑 등 고지대에 위치하게 된다. 그렇기 때문에 비, 바람 등 자연 환경적인 요인이나 차량 등 생활 환경적인 요인에 의해 미세한 흔들림 곧, 진동이라는 영향을 수없이 받고 있다. 이에 착안하여 이동 통신 안테나가 진동에 의해 영향을 받고 있다는 것을 실험을 통해 입증해 냄으로써 실제 이동 통신 운용 필드에서 진동이라는 요인에 의해 안테나의 수동 상호 변조 왜곡 특성이 쉽게 열화된다는 것을 증명해 보였다. 또한, 진동에 잘 견딜 수 있는 안테나 구조에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하였고, 구조 개선 전후 안테나의 수동 상호 변조 왜곡 특성을 실험적으로 비교함으로써 그 열화 정도를 35 ㏈ 이상 향상시킬 수 있었다. This work investigates the effects of vibration on the passive intermodulation distortion characteristics of base station antennas for 800 ㎒ CDMA mobile communication systems. In general, base station antennas are located at high positions such as on building rooftops or iron towers. Thus the antennas are always affected by random vibrations, coming from various natural environmental factors such as rain and wind, or from living environmental factors such as vehicles and trains passing by. The measured intermodulation distortion characteristics before and after vibration accelerated degradation test show that vibrations are indeed the main cause for the intermodulation distortion performances of such antennas. To minimize the effects of vibrations, a new antenna design is proposed that has an improved tolerance for vibrations. Experimental results show that the proposed antenna design dramatically reduces the degradation of the intermodulation distortion more than 35 ㏈.
Mechanical property characterization of Si nanowire using AFM indentation method

Si Nanowires have recently studied for nano-device and nano-structure. To develop of nano sized structure and device, we have to confirm the Young’s modulus which is dominant factor to understand about mechanical properties. Here, we used the nano-indentation method to characterize the Young’s modulus of Si nanowires which have various range of diameter using Atomic force microscopy (AFM). The elastic modulus was not found to depend on diameter of Si nanowires but the average of Young’s modulus is almost same as bulk size nanowires

Many modules such as controller, sensor, telematics terminal, navigation, audio and video are connected each other via vehicle network (CAN, MOST, etc). Futhermore, users can have ITS or internet services in moving by connecting to wireless mobile network. These network capabilities can cause a lots of security issues such as data hacking, privacy violation, location tracking and so on. Some possibilities which raise a breakdown or accident by hacking vehicle operation data (sensor, control data) are on the increase. In this paper, we propose a security module which has encryption functionalities and can be used for vehicle network system such as CAN, MOST, etc. This security module can provide conventional encryption algorithms and digital signature processing functionality such as DES, 3-DES, SEED, ECC, and RSA.
