In this paper, a friction compensation method using a disturbance observer is proposed for an impedance control of pneumatic manipulator. It is assumed that the generated torque by a pneumatic actuator can be estimated based on the pressure signals and the discharge volume. In order to improve the dynamic characteristics of the pneumatic actuator driven by meter out method, we construct the inner torque control system by feeding back the generated torque. In order to reduce the influence of disturbances comprising friction torque and parameter variations of plant, the impedance control system is constructed with a disturbance observer which estimates the disturbances based on the generated torque of pneumatic actuator, the angular velocity and the reaction torque. From some experiments, it is confirmed that the proposed control system is effective to improve the robustness for the friction torque in the impedance control of a pneumatic manipulator.
TPA로 분화된 U937 세포에서 사람 세포거대바이러스에 의한 c- jun Promoter 활성도의 변화

Transient transfection assay has been done to evaluate whether the c-jun activation would be prerequisite to the induction of permissiveness against human cytomegalovirus using in vitro cell model in which U937 has been induced to express CD11b and CD14 to become potential monocyte/macrophage cells by TPA treatment. U937 cells were treated with 10 ㎛, 50 ㎛ or 100 ㎛ of TPA. The cell morphology change was observed and the expression of the CD11b and CD14 was confirmed by FACS. Differentiated cells were transfected with pJLuc reporter vector which contained the wild type murine c-jun promoter spanning the SP1, CTF, ATF/CREB and MEF-2 binding sites upstream of the firefly luciferase gene. After 48 hrs of transfection, the cells were infected with HCMV Towne strain and the luciferase activity was assessed at 1 h and 4 h pi. The transfection assay showed no activation of the c-jun promoter at 1 h pi, instead, it showed 2 times increase of the its activity at 4 h pi. There was no difference of the c-jun promoter activation between TPA treated and untreated U937 cells, implying that c-jun activation might not be prerequisite for allowing cells to be premissive to HCMV, although HCMV infection itself could activate c-jun promoter.

Korean energy consumption levels by industry show the construction sector takes up 22% amongst all industries, following the manufacturing sector at 54%. Accordingly, it is necessary to cut down on the energy consumption of existing buildings in the home and commercial sectors. Korean Eco-friendly related regulations and policies have been improved and developed to cut down the energy consumption of buildings, while being limited in application to newly constructed facilities and those using elemental technology. The study suggests a move to more eco-friendly elements of design in office buildings by analyzing the correlation between the elements of buildings, their systems and energy consumption that occurs during the maintenance stage. The analyzed usage data was limited to office buildings, and eco-friendly designing elements were restricted to building/system elements. Also, the range of data was from January to December in 2011 (1year), and the energy consumption was defined as gas, electric, and sewage from the details of maintenance information. The results of this study are as follow. First, buildings facing the southwest have lower average energy consumption in terms of the location elements. Second, according to the analysis on the correlation of energy consumption, in terms of shape elements, the greater the number of elevators, floors, the area of a standard floor and the total floor area are, the greater the sewage output is.
