직업 분류 지칭어로서의 ‘군인’에 대한 사회언어학적 연구

This study has its primary focus on the analysis of the problems and the solutions on the matter of using the word "Gunin" as a referring expression. From the linguistic perspective, this study has verified that the use of the word "Gunin" as a referring expression contributes to the negative perceptions of soldiers in the Korean society, considering the "naming" directly affects the formation of the object's identity. This study has suggested the use of an alternative referring expression such as "Gukbangin" instead of "Gunin". Like all the other occupational categorizing referring expressions, the reference form "Gukbangin" has its basis on the tasks that the objects referred to carry out and can maintain the consistent application of the word. Also, in terms of securing the military identity, the reference form "Gukbangin" is a referring expression that helps the personal and public understanding of soldiers not merely as a person who works in the military, but a person who executes the national service of national defense. Although this study, from a linguistic view, has not dealt with the possible obstacles in detail created by this suggestion, it can bring up a conversation topic on how to change negative impression on "Gunin" of our people into the positive one and how to develop the military to be the one entrusted by the people.

언어 접촉에 대한 사회언어학 연구의 성과와 과제 : ≪사회언어학≫ 게재 논문을 중심으로

This study aims to categorize research achievements about language contact based on the papers in the Sociolinguistic Journal of Korea for the last thirty years into five sections, which include bilingualism and diglossia, pidgin and creole, various decision making under language contact situations, loan-words, and dialect contact. This study concludes by offering further research questions that need to be answered in the field of language contact. Early years of sociolinguistics has remained at a level of introducing language contact problems of Europe and Africa, Pacific and Atlantic equator region to the domestic academic circles. However, these achievements have turned out to be the foundation of research related to overseas Koreans bilingualism problem and various domestic language contact problems between Korean and foreign language. Until now, Korean sociolinguistics has mostly handled problems of bilingualism. However, since the early 21st century, the population of international marriage immigrants and foreign laborers has increased at a rapid rate, generating various language contact phenomena. Furthermore, with a recent globalization wave, many foreign languages are more widely used in Korea. In such a flow, it is evident that the Korean society will go through various language contact between Korean and foreign languages. Therefore, systematic and aggressive research on multi-culture family bilingualism, code-switching of Korean speakers, loan-words situation, and the problem of contact between standard language and dialect is needed in the Korean sociolinguistic field.

이 연구는 미디어의 유해성에 대한 논란이 커지고 있는 상황적 배경에서 우리나라 중학생들을 대상으로 이들의 미디어이용 정도가 정서행동문제와 학교적응에 어떻게 관련되는지를 분석하고자 하였으며, 더불어 이런 변인들 간의 구조적 관계에서 학생들의 자기조절능력이 어떤 역할을 하는지 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 한국아동.청소년패널조사의 중학생패널 3차년도 데이터를 사용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생들이 게임이나 영상물 등 미디어를 더 오랜 시간 이용할수록 이들에게서 주의집중문제나 공격성과 같은 정서행동문제가 더 심각하게 나타났다. 둘째, 미디어이용 정도는 중학생들의 학교적응을 부적으로 예측하였다. 셋째, 학생들의 자기조절능력이 높을수록 미디어이용을 덜 하고 정서행동문제도 낮아졌을 뿐만 아니라 학교적응은 더 잘하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 미디어이용이 정서행동문제나 학교적응에 미칠 수 있는 부정적인 영향을 고려할 때 청소년들의 미디어이용 행태와 습관에 대해 더 많은 관심과 교육적 개입이 필요함을 시사하였다. 또한, 청소년들이 자신의 미디어 이용을 스스로 통제하고 관리할 수 있도록 하는 자기조절능력 함양의 중요성을 제안하였다. The present study aimed to analyze how middle-school students` media use would predict their emotional-behavioral problems and school adjustment drawing on the recent controversies about the harmfulness of media. In addition, it explored the role of self-regulation in the relations among media use, emotional-behavioral problem, and school adjustment. The third-year KCYPS middle-school data was analyzed to investigate those research questions. Results are as follows. First, as middle-school students used the media such as game and TV/Video longer and more often, they experienced more emotional-behavioral problems such as attention problems and aggression. Second, middle-school students` media use related to their school adjustment negatively. Third, the higher self-regulation of students predicted less media use, fewer emotional-behavioral problems, and better school adjustment. These results implied that we should pay more attention to adolescents` media use behaviors and habits and provide more educational intervention regarding their media use. Finally, this study emphasized the importance of enhancing adolescents` self-regulation to self-control and manage their media use properly.

폭력적 미디어물에의 노출이 공격성 및 공격행동에 미치는 영향에 대한 고찰

이 논문에서는 폭력적인 미디어물이 아동과 청소년에게 미치는 영향 관계에 대한 다양한 시각을 살펴보고, 특히 폭력적인 미디어물에 자주 노출되는 것이 공격성 및 공격행동을 높여줄 수 있다는 경험적인 증거를 보여준 선행 연구를 종합하였다. 또한, 국내외 미디어의 폭력성 수준에 대한 자료와 우리나라 청소년들의 미디어 사용 행태에 대한 자료를 검토하였다. 이러한 고찰을 통해 미디어 사용과 관련된 교육적 시사점과 개입방안에 대해 다음과 같은 아이디어를 도출하였다. 첫째, 비판적으로 미디어물을 선택하고 사용하는 고차적인 미디어 리터러시 교육이 강화되어야 한다. 둘째, 미디어 자기조절능력을 촉진시켜야 한다. 셋째, 자기존중감을 갖고 자신의 미디어 사용에 대한 자기효능감을 갖도록 도와주어야 한다. 넷째, 자녀의 미디어 사용 및 내용에 대한 부모의 관심과 지도능력을 향상시켜야 한다. 이와 함께, 미디어와 폭력성 간의 관계에 대한 우리나라 선행연구의 대부분이 언론학이나 범죄학 분야를 중심으로 이루어져 왔는데 미디어가 아동과 청소년의 발달 및 교육에 미치는 영향을 고려해볼 때 이 주제에 대한 교육학적 시각으로부터의 연구가 더욱 요구되어진다. This paper explored various perspectives on the causal effects that violent media content may have on children and adolescents. In particular, it synthesized the research with empirical evidences showing that frequent exposure to violent media content enhanced aggression and aggressive behaviors. It also reviewed the data about the level of media violence and the habits of adolescents` media use. The following ideas were drawn for educational implications. First, media literacy education should be consolidated by focusing on higher-level critical skills. Second, self-regulation of media use should be facilitated. Third, parents and teachers should help their kids have higher self-esteem as well as higher self-efficacy about their use of media and media contents. Fourth, the role of parental care and concern about kids` media use should be emphasized. In addition, considering that most research on this topic has been done mainly in the field of communication and criminology, more research from educational perspectives will be able to add valuable implications and suggestions about media and violence.

공영택지개발사업의 보상만족도에 관한 연구 - 발산택지개발사업지구를 중심으로 : 공영택지개발사업의 보상만족도에 관한 연구

CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES This study intends to find ways to make public land development project executed swiftly and smoothly through examining compulsory land acquisition-com pensation system and analyzing condem nees satisfaction. (2) RESEARCH METHOD In this study, a survey of all involved condemnees in BAL-SAN public land development area is carried out and analyzed for a frequency test. (3) RESEARCH RESULTS The result of this study shows that 41.7% of condemnees are satisfied with overall compensation process and 87.2% are satisfied with kindly manners of employees. On the other hand, 45.7% of condemnees are unsatisfied with stingy compensation, followed by resettlement plans(27.1%) and means of living measure 19.5%). 2. RESULTS Az a conclusion, the study suggests the direction of improving condemnees satisfaction as following. (1) Improvement in applying official announced land price on compensation is needed. (2) Land substitution and land changing compensation should be adopted. (3) Resettlement plans should be reformed. (4) Adoption means of living measure need to be considered affirmatively.

This paper aims to explain the major discourse analysis theory and method in socio-linguistics. Recently, socio-linguistics has studied the relation between discourse and society for ``discourse`` which is made up of spoken language and written language. The representative approaches of socio-linuguistics are interactional sociolinguistics, ethnography of communication, variation analysis, conversation analysis and critical discourse analysis. And these approaches use the data research methods of participant observation, use of videos data, survey, interview and documentary records investigation. Especially, thesedays the studies on various institution conversation using the participant observation and videos data are increasing. In that process, transcribing method and written languge corpus building method are developing. If we develop the method which can reflect rhythm data, conversation context data, and sociocultural background on transcribing data and corpus data, discourse analysis in socio-linguiscts will soon make a rapid development.

CONTENTS (1) Research Objectives This study aims to review the meaning and characteristics of the living compensation in the implementation of the public development project, and draw the problems in the system of the living compensation and the improvement measures and remedies for them. (2) Resesrch Method This study has tried to draw the conclusion by studying the related documents and analyzing the characteristics of the adminstrative works for the living compensation. (3) Research Findings As the result of this study, I have grasped that the laws and regulations for the living compensation are incomplete, and the character of the compensation is unclear, and there are problems in the application of the living compensation. 2. RESULTS Through this study, I have proposed the legalization of the system for the living compensation, and the disambiguation of the criteria for the living compensation and the introduction of diverse kinds of systems for the living compensation and recipients.
