본 논문에서는 고해상도 도래방향 추정기법인 MUSIC(Multiple Signal Classification) 알고리즘의 설계에 대해서 연구하였다. MUSIC 알고리즘은 고유벡터와 방향벡터의 요소가 복소수이기 때문에 하드웨어 구현을 위해서는 입력상관행렬을 확장하거나 유니터리(Unitary) 개념을 적용해야 한다. 이에 따라 MUSIC 알고리즘의 방향벡터와 잡음고유벡터가 서로 직교한다는 성질을 이용하여, 소자 간격과 도래방향을 고려한 기지의 방향벡터와 신호에 의한 잡음고유벡터의 실수연산을 통해 도래방향을 구하였다. 본 논문에서는 MUSIC 알고리즘을 안테나 소자가 2개, 소자 간격이 0.5A인 경우에 대해서 하드웨어 구현이 가능하도록 Verilog HDL(Verilog Hardware Description Language)을 이용하여 설계하고 결과를 확인하였다. In this paper, design of MUSIC algorithm, which is one of high resolution DOA (direction of arrival) estimation techniques was studied. Generally the complex-valued correlation matrix of MUSIC algorithm is transformed to unitary matrix or matrix expansion for the real hardware implementation. Using the orthogonality between the noise subspace eigenvectors and the steering vectors corresponding to signal component, we estimate DOA with the real-valued computation between steering vectors and noise subspace eigenvectors. The DOA algorithm was designed with VHDL models with considerations of 2 elements and 1 incident wave and its simulation results are derived.

본 논문에서는 GPS(Global Positioning System)용 개구면 결합 소형 RHCP(Right-Handed Circular Polaization) 패치 안테나를 설계하였다. GPS 안테나의 원형분극 특성은 정사각형 패치면의 한 대각선 방향의 양 모서리에 섭동을 부여하여 구현하였고, GPS 안테나의 소형화는 패치면의 네 변의 중심에 일정한 길이의 슬릿을 삽입하여 등가적으로 표면전류의 경로를 증가하는 것으로 구현하였다. 안테나의 급전구조는 단일 급전구조로서 원형분극 안테나의 소형화가 용이하고 상대적으로 넓은 대역폭 특성을 갖는 접지도체에 십자형 개구면을 갖는 개구면 결합구조를 적용하였다. 해석 및 측정 결과, 소형 RHCP 안테나는 소형화 기법을 적용하기 이전에 비해 패치면적을 약 $42.7\%$ 줄였고, 대신-10dB 대역폭과 3dB 축비대역폭은 각각 $56\%,\;38.5\%$ 감소하였다. 또한 제한 구조를 상용 GPS 세라믹 안테나에 적용한 결과, 3dB 축비대역폭이 $56\%$ 줄었지만 패치면적을 $42.9\%$ 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다. In this paper, the miniaturization of aperture-coupled RHCP patch antenna for the GPS system is treated. Circularly polarization characteristics is implemented by truncating diagonal corners of the square patch. Antenna size is reduced by inserting four uniform slits at the patch edges, which was equivalently lengthened the surface current by meandering it, This antenna uses aperture-coupled feeding structure with crossed-slot shape in order to give easy miniaturization of RHCP patch antenna. Simulated and measured results show that $42.7\%$ lower antenna size is obtained, and also $56\%$ lower -10dB bandwidth and $38.5\%$ lower 3dB AR bandwidth are obtained. when the proposed design scheme is applied to a commercial GPS antenna structure, $42.9\%$ lower patch size and $56\%$ lower 3dB AR bandwidth compared to commercial antenna at the same frequency are obtained.

Tamoxifen is a nonsteroidal triphenylethylene delivative that has been widely used in the treatment of breast cancer. tamoxifen is indicated for the adjuvant treatment of breast cancer in women following total mastectomy or segmental mastectomy, breast irradiation and chemotherapy. tamoxifen has been shown to have significant benificial effect in the treatment of breast cancer patient as hormonal therapy. However ,there is mounting evidence that tamoxifen may affect other hormon sensitive organs, including the uterus and ovaries. An increased risk of endometrial polyps, endometrial hyperplasia and adenocarcinoma has been reported in tamoxifen treated women. We have met cases of endometrial polyp and endocervical polyp which were associated with tamoxifen use, after modified radical mastectomy for infilterating ductal carcinoma of breast . So we report these cases with the brief review of literatures.

Purpose: To compare the results of the ice test with other diagnostic tests for the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis in patients with ptosis. Methods: The patients included in this study presented with suspicious myasthenic blepharoptosis and visited the Department of Ophthalmology, Guro Hospital, Korea University between March 2003 and February 2004 for diagnosis. All patients received “myasthenic ptosis workup” including the ice test, edrophonium test, RNS EMG, and anti-acetylcholine receptor antibody (anti-AchR) titer test. The tests were compared for specificity, sensitivity, ease of performance, economic benefits and observed complications. Results: The patients included six men and nine women with an average age of 36.9±2.4 yrs. Positive test results were obtained as follows: Ice test 80%, edrophonium test 66.7%, RNS EMG 53.3%, and anti-AchR titer test 86.7%. Adverse effects of edrophonium test were encountered in two patients who had nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Conclusions: The authors found that the ice test was simpler, faster, more economic, and safer than the others for diagnosing blepharoptosis caused by myasthenia gravis. Considering its relative high sensitivity and specificity, the ice test should be the first screening test given to patients with suspicious myasthenic ptosis.
