        Making aged exercise by their age is unreasonable because there are differences of personal strength of their body. The three elements which control the aged's, possibility of exercising effectiveness are the level of the physical strength in the present state, potential capacities of physical strength and age. Examined the physical strength of aged, the pliancy of body is considerably marked decline by and large and fast twitch muscle are withered. The reason why aged often do prime exercise like and infant. Aged are not fit for the speedy exercise and they can give full scope to their ability by continuing the long time exercise. The reason why aged should dwindle is mainly the retardation of recovering their fatigue which is related to the decline of oxygen activity. Anaerobic energy supply reduction makes aged be bad far severe physical exercise. Basal metabolic rate of aged rely on physical cellular quantity and people exercising has a high basal metabolic rate because of muscular amount. There were no decline of basal metabolic rate following the age and physical non activiti influences on the atrophy of muscle.

      • 경피신경전기자극이 근피로에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of muscle power by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS), low frequency-low intensity(20pps, invisible muscle contraction intensity), low frequency-high intensity(20pps, visible muscle contraction), high frequency-law intensity(100pps, invisible muscle contraction intensity) and high frequency-high intensity(100pps, visible muscle contraction). The results were as follows. 1. Increased muscle power after 30 minutes of treatment by low frequency-low intensity TENS, and post-treatment 30 minutes muscle power were increased more than pre-treatment power(p$lt;0.05). 2. Decreased muscle power after a 30 minute treatment by low fredueucy-high intensity TENS, and after the 30 minute treatment was terminated muscle power didn't recover to pre-treatment levels. 3. Decreased muscle power after 30 minute treatment by high frequency-low intensity TENS, but post-treatment 30 minute, muscle power didn't recover to pre-treatment levels. 4. The muscle power was remarkably decreased by high frequency-high intensity TENS after 30 minute treatment, in addition treatment terminated after 30 minutes didn't recover to pre-treatment power(p$lt;0.05). 5. Lower frequency-low intensity TENS are good, methods for preventing muscle fatigue, but high intensity (TENS) are increased muscle fatigue. 6. Traditional TENS by high frequency-low-intensity is a good method for preventing muscle fatigue.

      • 경피신경전기자극이 월경통 감소에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) in the patients of dysmenorrhea. A total of thirty subjects were assigned randomly to one of the two experimental groups or to a control group : 1) an Experimental group I received high-frequency TENS(100pps with a 100-microsecond pulse width), 2) an Experimental group II received low-frequency TENS(2pps with a 100-microsecond pulse width), 3) a Control group received medication(Acetaminophen 600㎎). All subjects completed visual analogue scale(VAS) pre-treatment; after post-treatment; 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 hours past-treatment; and the next morning. The results of study were as follows: 1. The mean pain scores decreased in three groups. 2. The experimental group II and the control group exhibited a significant decrease in pain post-treatment. 3. The experimental group I had the pain relief obtained after three hours post-treatment. The experimental group II had the pain relief obtained immediately after the post-treatment. Control group had the pain relief obtained immediately after the post-treatment, but increased pain after four hours of post-treatment. Finally, this result suggests that TENS can reduce significantly the pain of dysmenorrhea. Besides, low-frequency TENS provided a good result to the excellent subjective pain relief in the subject, compared with high-frequency TENS and medication.

        B-A type hot cathode ionization gauge to measure the UHV(Ultra High Vacuum) was generally used in these days. Whereas, HV(High Vacuum) is still major pressure region in the application of vacuum to the industry. Conventional triode gauge(CTG) is used mainly for measurement in HV region, thus we constructed the modified triode gauge(MTG). In order to find the optimum condition of MTG. We measured I_e vs U_c, I_e vs U_g and U_c, I_e vs U_g and P, I_i vs U_g and P as well as I_i vs P because I_i is depend on pressure(P), filament potential(U_c), grid potential(U_g), filament heating power(Hp), and emission current(I_e). The good linearity of I_i P curve is obtained from ∼10^-6 to ∼10^-4 torr at 5A heating current, 200V grid potential, 40V filament potential and below ∼10^-7 torn at 4.6A.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of functional electrical stimulation(FES) on sitting balance in child with cerebral palsy. Four cerebral palsy children were selected for this study. Functional electrical stimulation(FES) was applied to subject's abdominal muscle and electrospine muscle. Assessment was carried out before treatment for obtain baseline measurement of sitting balance and reassessment were carried out after treatment. The obtain results are as follows. 1. The result of this study were following that maximum perturbation area was significantly reduced after treatment compared with pre-treatment. 2.The result of this study were following that maximum perturbation velocity was significantly reduced after treatment compared with pre-treatment.

        There was a time, some years ageo, when the general consensus was benefical to denervated muscle but had no effect on innervated muscle. To day climate has changed. The latest buzz words include high volt Galvanic current and functional electrical stimulation, both of which describe electrical methods for improving the strength and endurance of normal muscle in human. It now seems that electrical stimulation can indeed be used safely and effectively to influence innervated muscle. With denervated muscle, however, the current picture is less optimistic. Many investigators have reported that electrical stimulation to substitute for the possible chemical trophic effects involved in innervation. Furthermore, since many of these positive reports were based on animal studies carried out over relatively short time spans. Finally, there is the question of whether it is worth the time, effort, and money to give years of controversial treatment.

      • 전기자극을 한 흰쥐의 골격근 미세구조에 대한 연구

        A study was performed to investigate the effect of electrical stimulation on disused and denervated rat skeletal muscle(soleus). The microstructural changes on soleus were examined with electron microscope(Transmission Electron Microscope). The results are summarized as follows. First, Photomicrographs of soleus muscle in casting treated rat are convolution of Z-line and Myofilaments, and absence of M-line in some A-band. There are some vacuoles in A-band, I-band A-I junction. Second, Also indentation of nuclear membrane, the absence of sarcolemma(arrow), and the convolted myofilaments. Third, The soleus in electrical stimulated rat after casting are increased aspect of sarcosomes. Fourth, Also the repaired aspect of basal lamina in sarcolemma(allow). Fifth, Denervated soleus are severe atrophic changed, also cannot finded any structural changed. These results indicate that the electrical strmulation effected on soleus, delayed of muscular atrophy on disused muscle atrophy.
