      • UVB조사기의 홍반 발생 특성과 안전성에 관한 연구

        Purpose: The present study purposed to examine induced characteristic or erythema and safety by medium wave ultra violet(UVB) lamp. Methods: We compared sunshine and UVB lamp using spectroradiometer and UV radiometer. For measuring sunshine irradiation, we used spectoradiometer and detected from 8 to 18 o'clock every each hour on the beach, playground and rooftop of a 5 story building. The subjects for erythema examination were 5 healthy subjects who have no pathologic history of photosensitivity reaction, psoriasis and vitiligo. They were exposed to UVB radiation at the abdominal area for 2 hours and after irradiation, we observed the change of skin color every 12 hours over a period of 1 week. Results: Between sunshine and UVB lamp, sunshine had higher data on the chromaticity coordinates, dominant and peak wavelength, bandwidth and purity than the UVB lamp but on the color temperature, brightness the UVB lamp had higher data than the sunshine. In comparison of sunshine and UVB lamp, UVB lamp irradiated constantly such as $3.9-4.4{\mu}W/cm^2$ at a distance of 100cm between bed and lamp which was same as early morning irradiation on the sunshine. The erythema didn't appear to any subject. Conclusion: This results suggest that the UVB lamp has lower irradiance as much as early sunshine. Therefore the UVB lamp had no influence of inducing erythema at a distance of 100cm between bed and lamp.

      • 전기자극을 한 흰쥐의 골격근 미세구조에 대한 연구

        A study was performed to investigate the effect of electrical stimulation on disused and denervated rat skeletal muscle(soleus). The microstructural changes on soleus were examined with electron microscope(Transmission Electron Microscope). The results are summarized as follows. First, Photomicrographs of soleus muscle in casting treated rat are convolution of Z-line and Myofilaments, and absence of M-line in some A-band. There are some vacuoles in A-band, I-band A-I junction. Second, Also indentation of nuclear membrane, the absence of sarcolemma(arrow), and the convolted myofilaments. Third, The soleus in electrical stimulated rat after casting are increased aspect of sarcosomes. Fourth, Also the repaired aspect of basal lamina in sarcolemma(allow). Fifth, Denervated soleus are severe atrophic changed, also cannot finded any structural changed. These results indicate that the electrical strmulation effected on soleus, delayed of muscular atrophy on disused muscle atrophy.

      • Far infrared를 이용한 생체정보 인터페이싱에 대한 연구

        The Sun's ray is composed of Infrared(49%), Visible light(40%) and Ultra violet(11%), however the ray getting to the earth is FIR(Far infrared; 60%), IR(Infrared; 20%), and UV(Ultra Violet; 20%). Human beings has utilized FIR already from time immemorial. Hershel found out Infrared for the first time. in the Industrial Revolution the Infrared and FIR had been begun to use making products. In these days, with contemporary science FIR would be begun to clear up the implication in the human body and organic compound. IR classified by wavelength three parts NlR, MIR, FIR. There is FIR which is radiated from healthy human body the wave length is 8-l4m. The human body is composed of proteins which get easily changed by a thermal factor (about 42 $^{\circ}$C over). FIR with low temperature can deeply penetrate on the human body composed things without troublesomes, since FIR has effectively operated on the human body at low temperature (35-40 $^{\circ}$C). When FlR penetrated on the human body. it would inhibit the abnormal genes and cells expression, and then information of DNA and RNA would be reexpressed for arranging DNA and RNA abnormal state. As FlR's receptors in the body, it could be presumed that N-glycosyl linkage of purine and deoxyribose, RNA splicing process, and Heat shock protein. To take the FIR which was a optimized wavewlength and strength, at first, we induced the characteristic algorithm and the computerized programing. Then we formed that the formular of optimized FIR with physical, mathematical logic and theory. especially, Plank, Kirchhoff, Wien, Stefan-Boltzmann's logic and law. In the long run, the formular was induced with integration mathematical, since we had to know the molecular wavelength. Based on the induced formular as above, we programmed the optimized FlR radiating computerized program. In this research, we designed the eletronic circuit f3r interfacing with human body to diagnosis and treatment with FIR sensor which radiated FIR wavelength optimized.

        발성장애가 있는 경직형 뇌성마비아동의 자세조절 호흡운동이 폐활량과 호흡근 근전도 변화에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the change of respiratory capacity and rectus abdominis muscle in children with cerebral palsy(CP) before/after respiratory training using an expiratory belt and postural adjustment. Five children with CP practiced diaphragmatic breathing three times a weeks for four weeks using an expiratory belt to strengthen respiratory muscles with postural changes: 1)supine, 2)sitting on the floor, and 3)sitting on the chair. The results indicated that no statistical significance was found although there was a slight increase in the vital capacity of the subjects in the study. However, the function of rectus abdominis muscle from electromyogram was significantly improved 이 연구의 목적은 자세조절 저항 호흡훈련을 통하여 뇌성마바아의 호흡량과 호흡근인 복직근의 근전도상의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 뇌성마비아 5명을 대상으로 바로 누운 자세와 바닥에 앉은 자세 그리고 의자에 앉은 자세에서 횡격막호흡(diaphragmatic breathing)을 실시하고, 호흡 근력을 강화하기 위한 프로그램으로 벨트를 사용하여 저항을 주며 호흡운동을 주 3회 4주간 실시하여 폐활량과 근육활동 정도를 측정 한 결과 폐활량은 조금 증가 하였으나, 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 호흡근인 복직근의 근활동 정도는 유의한 차이가 있었다.

      • 경피신경전기자극이 월경통 감소에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) in the patients of dysmenorrhea. A total of thirty subjects were assigned randomly to one of the two experimental groups or to a control group : 1) an Experimental group I received high-frequency TENS(100pps with a 100-microsecond pulse width), 2) an Experimental group II received low-frequency TENS(2pps with a 100-microsecond pulse width), 3) a Control group received medication(Acetaminophen 600㎎). All subjects completed visual analogue scale(VAS) pre-treatment; after post-treatment; 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 hours past-treatment; and the next morning. The results of study were as follows: 1. The mean pain scores decreased in three groups. 2. The experimental group II and the control group exhibited a significant decrease in pain post-treatment. 3. The experimental group I had the pain relief obtained after three hours post-treatment. The experimental group II had the pain relief obtained immediately after the post-treatment. Control group had the pain relief obtained immediately after the post-treatment, but increased pain after four hours of post-treatment. Finally, this result suggests that TENS can reduce significantly the pain of dysmenorrhea. Besides, low-frequency TENS provided a good result to the excellent subjective pain relief in the subject, compared with high-frequency TENS and medication.

      • 노인의 퇴행성 슬관절염과 일상생활 수행력에 관한 연구

        To know the effect of index of social ability (ISA) and function of social life (FSL) with activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), we carried out a study on the elderly with osteoarthritis daily living in Daegu city for 4 months, from April to July 2002. The followings were observed: 1. The score of functional disability of knee, ADL and ISA were better at lower age (p < 0.01). 2. The younger they are, the better FSL they have. The lower age group has good FSL (p < 0.01). 3. Weight affects more to the under 49Kg group than 50-59Kg group and 60-69Kg group in functional disability of knee, while it doesn't make much difference for the other groups (p > 0.05) and other assessment index doesn't show any relationship with weight. 4. Regarding relat ionship with height , taller group has better knee functions: it's proved by post hock examination that the over 160cm group has much higher knee function than the other groups (p < 0.05). In case of ADL, the over 160cm group and under 149cm group were better than 150$\∼$159cm group. (p < 0.01) . 5. ISA was also different depending on height . It was proved that FSL was the better for the over 160cm group than for the others as a result of post hock examination (p < 0.05). 6. In regard of how many months have passed since the attack of functional disability of knee, knee joint function was better for the 12mon$\∼$36mon group than for the others and the score of ADL was lower for the 12mon$\∼$36mon group than for the others (p < 0.01). ISA was lower for the 12mon$\∼$36mon group and the under 6mon group than for the other groups (p < 0.01). FSL was lower for the 12mon$\∼$36mon group and the under 6mon group than the other groups. (p < 0.01). 7. Comparing left knee with right one, the problem with left knee has lower score of functional disability in all items (p < 0.01). 8. Considering friction noise, knee joint function was slightly better for non-friction noise-group, but it's not statistically significant though. ADL and ISA were better for non-friction noise-group (p < 0.01), while no statistical significance was found in FSL, 9. Knee joint function was better for the group who doesn't have limitation on range of knee flexion motion (p,0.05) but no other difference was found in other items from this group. 10. Limitation on range of knee flexion motion has no statistical difference in ADL and FSL. However, ISA was better for the non-limitation group (p < 0.05) . 11. Knee joint function score has high correlation with ISA (r=0.812, p < 0.01) and FSL (r=0.732, p < 0.01) , which shows the better knee joint function, the higher the score. 12. ISA and FSL were highly correlated: the better ISA, the better FSL (r=0.893, p < 0.01), while ADL has no correlation with either knee joint function or ISA or FSL.

      • 경피신경전기자극이 근피로에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of muscle power by transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS), low frequency-low intensity(20pps, invisible muscle contraction intensity), low frequency-high intensity(20pps, visible muscle contraction), high frequency-law intensity(100pps, invisible muscle contraction intensity) and high frequency-high intensity(100pps, visible muscle contraction). The results were as follows. 1. Increased muscle power after 30 minutes of treatment by low frequency-low intensity TENS, and post-treatment 30 minutes muscle power were increased more than pre-treatment power(p$lt;0.05). 2. Decreased muscle power after a 30 minute treatment by low fredueucy-high intensity TENS, and after the 30 minute treatment was terminated muscle power didn't recover to pre-treatment levels. 3. Decreased muscle power after 30 minute treatment by high frequency-low intensity TENS, but post-treatment 30 minute, muscle power didn't recover to pre-treatment levels. 4. The muscle power was remarkably decreased by high frequency-high intensity TENS after 30 minute treatment, in addition treatment terminated after 30 minutes didn't recover to pre-treatment power(p$lt;0.05). 5. Lower frequency-low intensity TENS are good, methods for preventing muscle fatigue, but high intensity (TENS) are increased muscle fatigue. 6. Traditional TENS by high frequency-low-intensity is a good method for preventing muscle fatigue.

      • 아토피 피부염에서 단파장 UVB 치료기법의 고찰

        Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, inflammatory, primarily genetic-determined skin disease of which the cause is unknown. Its prevalence of has been increased in the industrialized countries, and no one know why. So, atopic eczema remains a therapeutic challenge. There have been no known therapeutic modalities as effective as glucocorticoids for treatment of chronic intractable atopic dermatitis. However, various attempts including phototherapy with UVB irradiation have been tried to avoid side effects from long term corticosteroids treatment. Recently, narrow band ultraviolet B(UVB) phototherapy is introduced and known to be effective in treating atopic dermatitis. It is easier to be applicable because of no need for topical and /or systemic photosensitizers, and comparably or more effectiveness than PUVA without systemic side effects such as vertigo and vomiting. But therapeutic mechanism of narrow band UVB in atopic dermatitis is not yet known exactly. Therefore, a more organized study should be done to discover the therapeutic mechanism of narrow band UVB and determime therapeutic protocol. 아토피 피부염은 만성, 염증성이며, 기본적으로 원인이 알려져 있지 않은 유전성 피부질환이다. 산업화된 국가에서 그것의 발병률은 증가하고 있지만, 어느 누구도 그 이유를 알지 못한다. 그러므로 아토피 피부습진은 여전히 치료적 도전과제로 남아있다. 지금까지 만성 난치성 아토피 피부염의 치료를 위해서 glucocorticoids가 가장 효과적인 치료 방법이었으나, 장기간의 corticosteroids 치료로 인한 부작용을 줄이기 위해 UVB 조사 및 광선치료를 포함한 다양한 시도가 이뤄지고 있다. 최근에는 단파장(narrow band) UVB 광선치료 기법이 아토피 피부염 치료에 효과적인 것으로 알려졌다. 그것은 전신 광감작제를 사용할 필요가 없기 때문에 사용하기가 쉽고, 현기증이나 구토와 같은 전신적 부작용이 없으면서 상대적으로 PUVA보다 효과적이다. 그러나 아토피 피부염에 대한 단파장 UVB의 치료적 기전은 아직 정확히 알려지지 않았다. 따라서 단파장 UVB의 치료적 기전과 치료 프로토콜에 대한 더 많은 체계적인 연구가 이뤄져야 할 것이다.
