        간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향, 메타인지에 대한 상황모듈학습 프로그램 적용 효과

        Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of a situational module learning course on critical thinking disposition and metacognition in sophomore nursing students. Methods: This study was a non-equivalent control-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design; the participants included 64 nursing students (32 in the experimental and 32 in the control group) from two Korean universities. Critical thinking disposition and metacognition between the control and intervention groups were measured before and after program participation. Data collection was conducted between September 1 and December 15, 2016. An independent t-test was used to determine differences in critical thinking disposition and metacognition between the groups and Pearson’s correlations were measured for correlation with critical thinking disposition and metacognition. Results: The intervention group showed higher critical thinking disposition (t=3.16, p=.002); intellectual integrity (t=2.85, p=.006); and open-mindedness (t=3.30, p=.002) relative to those of the control group. However, there were no statistical differences in metacognition between the two groups (t=-0.14, p=.888). A significant positive correlation between metacognition and critical thinking disposition was found. (r=.62, p<.001). Conclusion: The situational module learning course developed in this study could be used to promote critical thinking disposition in nursing students.

        지역사회에 정착한 시설장애인의 탈시설에 대한 영향 요인 분석 - 브론펜브레너의 생태학적 체계 이론에 따른 구조화와 검증 -

        이 연구는 Robert K. Yin(2011)의 사례연구방법을 적용하여 브론펜브레너의 생태학적 체계 이론에 따라 총 11개의 탈시설 영향 요인의 이론적 가설을 제시하고, 지역사회에 정착한 탈시설 장애인 총 25명의 사례를 기반으로 탈시설 영향 요인을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 미시, 중시, 거시, 시간체계에서 총 24개의 촉진 요인, 총 15개의 지연 요인이 검증되었으며, 미시체계에서 ‘가족 형성 및 재구성’, ‘시설 입소 상황’ 등 2개의 촉진 요인이 새롭게 도출되었다. 이를 통해 시설 장애인의 탈시설에는 개인과 시설 단위의 미시 체계 요인이 가장 영향을 미치고 있으며, 탈시설을 촉진할 수 있는 중간, 거시 체계 차원의 긍정적 지원과 개입이 부족하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 향후 시설 장애인의 탈시설을 촉진하기 위해 미시 체계의 수준을 넘어선 다양한 환경 체계의 지원과 교류의 필요성을 포함하여 장애인 탈시설 지원을 위해 고려해야 할 몇 가지 정책 및 실천적 제언을 제시하였다. This study applied the case study method of Robert K. Yin(2011) to present the theoretical hypothesis of 11 deinstitutionalization impact factors in accordance with Bronfenbrenner"s ecological systems theory and verified the deinstitutionalization impact factors based on the experiences of 25 persons with disabilities who have left residential facilities. As a result of the analysis, 24 facilitators and 15 inhibitors were verified in micro, intermediate, macro, and temporal systems, and two new facilitators were derived in micro-systems: ‘family formation and reconstruction’ and ‘facility entry situation.’ This showed that micro-system factors at the individual and facility level were most influential in the deinstitutionalization of people with disabilities and that there was a lack of positive support and intervention at the intermediate and macro-system levels to promote the deinstitutionalization. In order to help people with disabilities to move out of the residential facility in the future, several policy measures and practical suggestions, including the need for support for various environmental systems beyond the micro-system level, were presented.

        간호 조직문화에 대한 국내 간호연구 고찰

        본 연구는 간호학에서 조직문화연구의 현 상태는 물론 앞으로의 연구를 위한 방법을 모색하는 일환으로 ‘간호조직문화’와 관련된 연구를 고찰해보고자 하였다. 국내의 간호 조직문화와 관련된 한국연구재단 등재 후보지 이상의 논문을 검색하였고 해당 논문을 분석하였다. 총 30편의 논문이 최종 선별되었으며 그 수에 있어 1990년대 말 이후 논문수가 증가되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 대부분의 논문들은 비 실험연구이며 관계지향적 문화, 혁신 지향적 문화, 위계 지향적 문화, 업무 지향적 문화로 구성된 문화유형을 정의하고 있는 경쟁가치모델의 이론적 접근과 도구를 사용하고 있었다. 간호조직문화와의 관계를 보고자 하는 요인들은 주로 직무만족, 조직몰입, 유효성 등간의 상관관계를 보고자 하는 연구들이었다. 이러한 결과들은 한국의 간호 조직문화에 대한 다음 단계의 연구에서 다양한 접근방법과 연구방법의 사용을 요구하고 있다. The authors reviewed research related to nursing organizational culture in order to determine the direction for future research, as well as the current status of nursing organizational culture. Research that analyzed nursing organizational culture were selected from journal articles in Korea and were reviewed. A total of 30 articles were collected. The number of studies on nursing organizational culture has shown a rapid increase since the late 1990s. Most research studies used a non-experimental design. The most frequently used organizational culture model and instrument was the competing values model defining culture pattern, which consists of relation-oriented, innovation-oriented, hierarch-oriented, and task-oriented culture. Other factors showing correlation with nursing organizational culture included job satisfaction, effectiveness, and so on. These results will be used to provide basic data for nursing leaders. In Korea, the next phase of research on organizational culture will require use of various approaches and research methods.

        임상 신규간호사의 상급 초보자에서 적임자로 되어가는 경험

        Purpose: This study aimed to describe nurses’ experience in transition from new graduate nurses to professional clinical nursees in a hospital. Methods: Ten new clinical nurses working in a hospital participated in this study. Data collected through in-depth interviews were analyzed using phenomenology. Results: The analysis yielded five core category themes from new nurses for becoming a professional nurse: (a) beginning of hardship journey (b) feeling of inability in workplace (c) struggling hard to develop skills (d) enduring hardships by soothing oneself and peer support (e) beginning of an exciting journey. Conclusion: Over time, new nurses face many difficulties in transition to a professional status. To enhance the role development of new clinical nurses in hospital settings, nursing schools and clinical fields must teach and prepare them. Nursing schools should teach a strong theoretical base as well as nursing skills. In addition, in the clinical nursing department, education, teaching the integrated systems, staff development, support, evaluation, and feedback are needed for new nurses’s development.

        간호행정학회지 게재 질적 논문의 연구 동향 분석(창간호~2016년)

        Purpose: This study was done to analyze qualitative research published in the Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing Administration (JKANA). Methods: Selected studies included 38 qualitative studies in which an interview was used and which were published in JKANA from 1995 to 2016 (22 years). Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research (COREQ), a reporting guideline for analysis of qualitative research was employed. Results: Items that were included in less than half of the selected studies were as follows: interviewers’ credentials, occupation, gender, and relationship established with participants in the 1st domain; non-participants, presence of non-participants, and transcripts returned in the 2nd domain; participant checking in the 3rd domain. Conclusion: Findings indicate that future challenges face JKANA qualitative researchers. First, the expansion of qualitative research should be ensured to explain complex interaction between humans and the environment. Second, a variety of qualitative research methods should be considered to enhance understanding of nursing fields. Third, research procedures should be described more precisely to increase transparency of research results. Fourth, not only personal information on the researcher but also how subjective opinions of the researcher reflected in the research process should be explained in detail to clarify the relationship between researchers and participants.

        임상실무에서 간호사가 겪은 의사와의 의사소통 경험

        The purpose of this study was to describe nurses`` experience of health communication with doctors in the clinical fields. Methods: Eight experienced clinical nurses working in various units of general hospitals participated. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews and analyzed using the Colaizzi` method. Results: Five themes of nurses’ experience of communication were identified: exploring the speaker seriously, becoming aware of emotions and controlling them, developing relationships after lining up for battle, having superficial and withered relationships with doctors, having few resources to promote communications with doctors. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that humanistic and warm interpersonal relationships and genuine sharing of information are necessary to ensure effective communication. Thus, practice guidelines should be re-evaluated and developed to meet the proposed standards; safety-net programs and education for health communication should also be established. Nurse managers should create a high-touch work environment.

        간호 · 간병통합서비스를 적용한 병동 간호사의 환자간호 경험

        Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the experience of nurse in comprehensive nursing care. Methods: Experiential data collected from 9 nurses through in-depth interviews. Participants were selected from nurses working in the comprehensive nursing care unit at general hospital. The main question was “Can you describe your experience in the comprehensive nursing care unit?” All interviews were recorded and transcribed, then analyzed using Colaizzi"s method. Results: Nine themes were derived from the analysis: "Practice nursing care", "Feel thankful of the client", "Difficulty in nursing due to absence of patients" guardian", "Tired of over-demanding patient and distrust of guardian", "Confusion regarding one’s identity as a nurse", "Not enough to support system","Insufficient pre-training for nurse and client", "Requirement of work establishment for nurse and nurse aid", "Concerns about low rewards and high safety accidents". Conclusion: As a comprehensive nursing service, the nurses provided total patient care, and patient satisfaction and expression of appreciation increased. However, disadvantages were identified, such as patients’ excessive needs, communication difficulties, lack of support systems, low compensation, and a high number of safety accidents. Therefore, systematic comprehensive nursing will be achieved if these shortcomings are addressed.

        Purpose: The purposes of this study were to assess the efficacy and usefulness of the career ladder program in a hospital and to evaluate nurses` satisfaction with the program. Methods: The study was conducted using a survey consisting of 14 questions on the appropriateness, necessity and usefulness of the career ladder program. The data were gathered from 403 nurses in a hospital. We assessed differences in responses according to the participants` workplace, age, educational background, marital status, experience (total years and years at current working place). We analyzed the data using SPSS/WIN 12.0. Results: Nurses acknowledged that the career ladder program is necessary and profitable within the nursing field, but they worried about the appropriateness of the nurse`s role at each career level and rationality of the portfolio. The study also identified nurses` characteristics that were significant factors in explaining nurses` satisfaction with the career ladder program. Finally, we identified complaints and improvements for the program. Conclusion: We assessed differences in attitude towards the career ladder program according to nurses` characteristics.
