Anesthesia consent was requested by our anesthesiology department when the patient condition was found to be critical during the preanesthetic visit. To evaluate the trend, one hundred and five anesthesia consent cases among the 6,430 anesthetics from January 1977 to December 1978 at the department of anesthesiology, St. Mary's hospital, Catholie Medical College, were analyzed according to the anesthetic method, age, sex, surgical department, anesthetic agent, physical status, site of operation, diagnosis, preanesthetic problem and cause of death. The results were as follows; 1) Fifteen cases(14%) died among the 105 cases of anesthesia consent during and/or after .surgery, within the first 7 days. 2) Physical status was class Ⅱ E in 43% and the ratio of elective to emergency surgery was 1 to 1.4. 3) Upper abdominal surgery was performed in 52 cases(50%), urogenital surgery in 21 cases (20%), head and neck surgery in 18 cases(17%), surgery on extremities in 12 cases(11%) and thoracic surgery in 2 cases(2%), acordingly. 4) Cardiovascular problems were found in 27 cases(26%), hematologic disorders in 13 cases (12%), respiratory problems in 13 cases(12%), sepsis in 9 cases (9%), problems of central nervous system in 9 cases(9%), hepato-renal disorders in 8 cases(8%) and endocrine disorders in 5 cases(5%), respectively, 5) Postanesthetic cause of death was cardiopulmonary disturbance(33%), sepsis(27%) cerebral edema(20%) and hemorrhage(13%).

We report the dependence of voltage-controlled magnetic anisotropy (VCMA) effect and its volatility on an underlayer (UL) in CoFeB/MgO structures. For a sample with Ta or Pt UL, the VCMA effect occurs when the applied gate voltage (Vg) exceeds a critical value, and it persists even after removing Vg. This is in contrast to the volatile VCMA effect and its linear dependence on Vg in a sample with W UL. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the volatility of the VCMA effect can be modified by introducing a Ta/W bilayer, enabling arbitrary control of the magnetic properties via VCMA effect.

This is a case report of pulmonary embolism which occurred as a complication of mesenteric venous stasis with sepais. This 49 year old nun was operated upon for an obstructed intestine under general anesthesia with halothane and d-tubocurarine. She had had a hystrectomy for myoma 2 years ago and has ailed for 6 days from this condition. The patient became dyspneic and cyanotic suddenly three hours after the surgery. The chest X-ray revealed three or four bilateral, rounded and moderately increased densities, and her ECG showed a large S wave in limb leads, P-pulmonare, and right ventricular strain pattern with right axis deviation. CPPV with 100% oxygen by the manual method improved the condition of the patient for about three hours, but tachycardia and a failing heart could not be corrected in site of digitalis, steroid, diuretics and heparinization. The patient died 11 hours after the operation.

We investigated the dependence of tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) and its electric-field effect in CoFeB/ MgO/CoFeB magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJ) on different underlayer (UL) materials. We observed enhancements in the TMR ratio and its temperature dependence as well as electric-field effect in MTJs with W UL, as compared to those in MTJs with a conventional Ta UL. This is attributed to better thermal stability of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) in W/CoFeB/MgO, which sustains up to 380 C, compared to that of Ta/CoFeB/MgO which starts to degrade at 270 C. This demonstrates that the PMA in a CoFeB/MgO structure and its electric-field dependence can be enhanced by the careful selection of underlayer, opening the way for the realization of electric-field effect-driven spintronic devices.
(Ba,Sr)TiO₃박막과 산화물 전극간의 계면제어와 그에 따른 특성변화

기존의 산화물 전극인 RuO₂의 문제점인 BST와의 구조적 불일치를 perovskite 구조를 갖는 CSR전극의 적용을 통해 해결하고 더 나아가 BST와 조성적인 일치까지 이룰 수 있는 BSR이라는 새로운 전극물질을 이용하여 그에 따른 전기적 특성변화를 고찰하였다. CSR박막의 격자상수는 Ca, Sr의 양을 조절함으로써 3.83-3.94Å까지 변화시킬 수 있으며 BST와 완벽한 격자 정합을 이룰 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 구조적 특성의 장점은 계면영역에서의 비정질 층의 감소 뿐만 아니라 결정성의 향상으로 나타났다. BSR전극위에 증착된 BST는 거의 epitaxial하게 성막됨을 HREM를 통해 관찰하였으며 이러한 현상은 self-graded interface에 의해 가능한 것으로 생각되어진다. 이러한 BSR 전극위에 증착된 BST는 유전상수 500 이상, 누설전류 8×10(-8)A/㎠이하 값을 나타내었다. 또한 누설전류는 구조적인 면에서 많은 영향을 받고 유전상수는 박막의 화학적, 조성적인 면에 많은 영향을 받음이 관찰되었다. The electrical properties of BST thin films on the structurally identical CSR electrode and on the chemically and structurally similar BSR electrode were investigated in relation with the interfaces. Lattice parameter of CSR films can be varied by controlling the Ca/Sr ratios from 3.83 to 3.94Å, so that the perfect lattice match with BST films can be obtained. Such structural match of CSR film with dielectric film resulted in improved crystallinity of interfacial layer, and the significant reduction of the undesirable layer in the interface region as a result. Further improvement in interfacial structure was achieved for the BST thin film on BSR electrode and was confirmed by HREM. It is thought that epitaxial growth of BST/BSR structure is associated with the self-graded interface. BST thin films deposited on (Ba0.51Sr0.49) RuO₃ electrode exhibited high dielectric constant(>500) and low leakage current density(<8×10(-8)A/cm₂). It turned out that the dielectric constant of BST thin films was more dependent on the chemical composition of the BSR and the leakage current was pore influenced by the structural campatibility with the electrodes.
승강장안전문(PSD) 구동부 입력전원 개선에 관한 연구

서울도시철도공사 승강장안전문(PSD) 개별제어반 구동부 입력전원의 계통은 PSD 전원공급실 정류기로부터 3상 AC 380V에서 DC 40V로 변환하여 공급되고 있다. 현재 7호선 일부구간의 PSD 구동부 개별제어반 입련 전원이 타 구간에 비해 노이즈, 서지 및 전압강하 등의 원인으로 입력전원이 불안정하여 개별제어반, 구동모터 등 시설물이 소손되는 사례가 발생되어, 이에 PSD 구동부 입력전원 안정화에 대한 연구 활동이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 PSD 구동부 입력전원 안정화를 위한 분석 및 연구 결과를 현장 적용 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하고자 한다. The SMRT PSD Drive Door Control Unit(DCU) input power is supplied by converting from AC 3-phase 380V to DC 24V from Rectifier. Currently, the PSD drive input power for a part of line 7 is generated noise, surge, voltage drop as compared to the other sections. Accordingly, due to the unstable power of the input, facilities such as driving motor are damaged. Therefore, we were required research for the input power supply to stabilize. In this paper, we verified through the simulation results for the PSD drive input power stabilize.
