Korean maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pesticides have been established based on scientific data of good agricultural practice, acceptable daily intake (ADI), food intake, average body weight and others. MRLs for pesticides are generally set under the principle that theoretical maximum daily intake (TMDI) are always below ADI. As results, 104 MRLs are going to be newly established for 24 pesticides and 102 MRLs are going to be added for 63 pesticides that have regulation already. Among new pesticides, ethaboxam and flupyrazofos are effective components that are first developed in Korea. In case of dithiocarbamates, MRLs are classified by 3 groups such as dimethyldithiocarbamates, ethylenebis(dithiocarbamate)s and propineb.
농약 기준 및 위해평가 국제화를 위한 농약 가공계수 연구

농약잔류허용기준(Maximum Residue Limit, MRL) 설정 시, 잔류농약에 대한 가공연구는 식품 가공 중 농약 감소 정보 또는 별도의 위해평가 필요 식품에 대한 정보 얻기 위함이며, 가공계수 산출하여 MRL설정에 이용하며, 위해평가 시 가공연구 자료는 소비자의 안전을 위하여 잔류농약의 만성 또는 급성 식이섭취평가를 현실적으로 수행하는데 이용된다. 이에따라, 우리나라에서도 가공 식품에 대한 보다 과학적인 위해평가와 기준설정을 위하여 가공연구가 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구는 가공식품 중 농약 기준 및 위해평가 국제화를 위한 가공계수 기초 연구 및 자료확보를 진행하였다. 곡류 등 농산물에 대한 가공계수 국제 기준설정 현황을 비교 분석하였으며, 10년간의 JMPR 보고서를 조사하여 CODEX에 기준설정 근거 자료를 조사하였다. 10년간의 JMPR 보고서를 조사를 통해 가공방법 및 가공계수를 정리하여 국내 기준으로 도입 가능한 농약을 선정하였다. 전체 대상 농약 475개 중 CODEX에서 가공연구가 수행된 176개 농약을 3개년으로 나눈 다음, 연차별로 대상 식품에 대한 기준 설정 및 위해평가를 위한 가공계수를 제안하는 요약서를 작성할 계획이다. 농약 가공계수 위해평가, MRL 설정 적용을 위해 식품원료섭취량을 산출하여 원료의 섭취량을 원료와 가공식품으로 분리하여 위해평가에 사용할 수 있도록 조사 중에 있다. 국내 가공계수 산출 대상 농산물인 쌀을 이용한 가공식품 제조 및 시험분석 예비실험을 위해 쌀의 침지실험을 진행하였다.

This study was performed to produce the processing factors of pesticides in dried carrot. It is essential data for establishing the maximum residue limits (MRLs) of pesticides in dried carrot. The target pesticides were azinphosmethyl, chlorpyrifos, captan, endosulfan and triclorfon. These pesticides are included Korea’s MRL list in carrot and USA’s MRL list in dried foods. To infiltrate these pesticides up to each MRL level in carrot, the dipping test was performed in laboratory. Also, the supervised residue trial of the pesticide for carrot was conducted in the green house to recognize the field trial’s tendency. In the dipping test in laboratory (including drying examination), the processing factors of the carrot at various concentrations and temperatures could be evaluated. In field test, the processing factors were 5.9 for azinphos-methyl, 1.7 for captan, 7.6 for chlorpyrifos, 6 for endosulfan, 0 for trichlorfon, respectively. The dipping test in laboratory on various kinds of conditions showed more precise processing factors than field trial. The processing factors obtained from the dipping test of carrot were 0~4.7 at the various concentration of the pesticides, and 0~6.7 at various drying temperature. The lower level processing factors were 0~0.6 for trichlorfon and the higher level were 3.0~5.8 for chlorpyrifos. The highest processing factor was 9.1 for captan.

Processing factors of pesticides in milling process of wheat grain, which are consumed and imported at large quantity were examined to establish reasonable MRL of the processed food. Azinphos-methyl, chlorpyrifos, chlorpyrifos-methyl, fenitrothion, malathion, and trichlorfon were selected for the study according to annual usage and the previous detection record in wheat grain. Dipping process for pesticide application was performed in laboratory, while milling process was conducted under pilot plant system. Processing factors were calculated by analyzing residual pesticides on wheat grain and processing products as wheat flour, bran and red dog. Processing factors were 0.05 for azinphos-methyl, 0.06 for chlorpyrifos, 0.05 for chlorpyrifos-methyl, 0.07 for fenitrothion, 0.07 for malathion, 0.06 for trichlorfon, respectively. Recovery test was also performed to establish extraction efficiency of analytical procedure. The recovery value ranged from 93.2% to 98.6% with standard deviation of 0.1~0.9%.

Capillary gas chromatography using electron capture(EC) and mass selective(MS) detectors was used for the simultaneous quantitation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid(2,4-D), 3,6-dichloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid(Dicamba), and (± )2-(4-chloro-2-methylphenoxy) propionic acid(mecoprop) extracted from soil leachates. The 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol(TFE) esters of the acid analytes were synthesized using H₂SO₄ as the catalyst. Efficiency of derivatization and instrumental molecular-response were compared with herbicides methylated with BF₃-methanol(14% W/V), H₂SO₄-methanol(33% V/V), and diazomethane. The molecular integrity of TFE-2,4-D, TFE-dicamba, and TFE-mecoprop, in the mixture, was confirmed by the GC/MSD method. The TFE-Esterification efficiency was maximized by adjusting the volume of H₂SO₄ the reaction time, and temperature. Optimal efficiency for the herbicide mixture was obtained by adding 1 ㎖ of H₂SO₄ and 1 ㎖ of TFE to the dried sample and allowing the reaction to proceed at 22℃ for 8 hr or using 0.5 ㎖ H₂SO₄ and 1 ㎖ of TFE at 60℃. For 120 min increasing the temperature and decreasing the reaction time were required for maximum esterification efficiency. The sensitivity of the GC/ECD to the TFE esters was about 2∼20 times greater than that to the methyl ester derivatives. The herbicides were extracted and esterified to TFE derivatives simultaneously from soil leachates previously spiked with the analytes. Herbicide recovery, peak resolution, and detector sensitivity were excellent without using column cleanup procedures.

중국은 식품을 세계 각국으로 많이 수출하고 있으며 부적합도 많이 발생하는 국가이다. 우리나라에서 중국산 식품을 수입할 때 참고자료로 활용할 수 있도록 최근 3년간 세계 각국에서 실시한 중국산 식품의 잔류농약 모니터링 자료를 모아서 발표한다. 최근 3년간 중국산 식품을 검사하여 발표한 국가는 미국, 한국, 대만 등 25개 국가이며, 144종 식품 총 1,598건에서 155종 농약이 검출되었다. 이 중 미국과 우리나라를 제외한 23개국의 자료는 모두 해당국가의 기준을 초과하여 부적합 처분된 건수이다. 미국과 우리나라는 적합, 부적합을 구분하지 않고 있다. 따라서 총 1,598건 중 미국과 우리나라에서 발표한 813건을 제외한 785건은 부적합 건수이며, 미국과 우리나라에서 검사한 813건 중에서도 부적합된 경우는 상당수가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 중국식품 검사국은 총 25개국이며, 검출 건수 순으로 미국, 우리나라, 대만, 프랑스 순이다. 검출된 식품 중 차가 275건으로 가장 높았으며 이어서 구기자, 파, 딸기 순이었다. 검출된 농약 중에서는 Acetamiprid가 157건이 검출되었으며 검출범위는 0.007~3.7 ppm 이었다. 이어서 Chlorpyrifos가 121건에서 0.0002~5 ppm 검출되었고 Imidacloprid, Carbendazimdl 100건 이상 검출되었다.

The aim of this study was to establish the maximum residue limits(MRLs) of fenhexamid, azoxystrobin and cyprodinil pesticides in ginseng products. The pesticides were applied to the cultivation field of ginseng, and they were harvested and processed to make dried ginseng and ginseng extract. The reduction factors of residual pesticides were calculated by determination of the pesticides in each processing stage of ginseng. Reduction factor (dry basis) of pesticides (azoxystrobin, fenhexamid, cyprodinil) were 0.73, 0.96 and 0.24 for dried ginseng and 3.23, 5.74 and 1.20 for ginseng extract. All the residual pesticides were reduced by drying or processing of ginseng, however, fenhexamid did not.
