대학도서관 이용자의 연구지원서비스 인식에 관한 연구

This research analyzed the type of major research and support services provided by libraries in academic institutions. The research also investigated the awareness of users using the research and support services. We found that the awareness was influenced by users' major and status. In particular, prior usage of the services had statistically significant result depending on users' major and status. On the other hand, the rank of faculty members or the year of study for students were found to not have a significant influence on the general perception of the research support services. We also found that researchers require the support services in every stages of their study. In addition, the preference of training method and research guidance for such services differed by users' major. 이 연구에서는 대학 연구 활동 지원을 위해 대학도서관의 주요 연구지원서비스의 유형을 분석하고, 대학도서관에서 제공하는 연구지원서비스에 대한 이용자의 인식도를 조사하였다. 조사결과에 따르면 이용자의 유형에 따라서 그 인식도의 차이를 발견할 수 있었다. 이용자의 전공과 신분은 도서관서비스 인식도에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 한편 교수의 직급이나 학생들의 학년의 차이는 대학도서관 이용자의 연구지원서비스에 대한 인식도와 필요도, 유용도 등에 영향을 미치지 못했다. 이용자들이 연구지원서비스를 사전에 이용해 본 경험의 유무는 전공계열과 신분에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 또한 연구자들은 그가 수행하는 모든 연구과정에서 도서관에서 제공하는 연구지원서비스를 필요로 하였다. 또한 이용자의 전공계열에 따라 서비스를 위한 교육방법과 상담 지도에서 선호하는 방법이 서로 달랐다.

WIKI cataloging 정신을 통한 공동목록 완성에 관한 연구

This study propose the union cataloging based on wiki cataloging method which guarantee the quality of imported bibliographic data by outsourcing. Wiki cataloging means to improves a quality of union catalog used the cooperation of librarians who have the knowledge and experience to the cataloging. The methods are 1) policy of wiki cataloging 2) development of wiki systems 3) establishment of wiki cataloging rule based on advanced librarian cooperation. Especially, advanced librarian take charge of an 245, 260, 300 fields as basic bibliographical elements, general librarians participate expanded fields.

색상에 기반한 감성시소러스 구축

본 연구의 목적은 멀티미디어 시대에 필요한 새로운 검색도구를 조사하는 것이다. 시소러스가 유용한 검색도구이나 디스크립터가 명사로 이루어져 인간의 감성을 검색하기 위해서는 형용사의 사용이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 I R I사의 형용사 이미지 스케일을 사용하여 감성적 의미를 갖고 있는 색상을 이용하여 감성 시소러스를 실험적으로 구축하였다. 구축의 규모는 2 6 1개로 이루어졌으며, 관계설정은 스케일의 거리와 주요 이미지 스케일의 중첩도를 활용하였다. 구축에는 후보 디스크립터를 보관하고 구조화할 수 있는 용어풀 기능이 있는 감성 형용사 전용 구축 프로그램을 사용하였다. The aim of this article is to study the new searching tool for era of multimedia. Thesaurus is a useful tool but is constituted with noun phrase including the adjective for retrieving the human Sensibility. Therefore, I experimentally construct the Sensibility thesaurus using the color scale which contains the Sensibility meanings. Terms are 261, Relation standards are distance and ratio of reiteration between the terms. I would use an exclusive program of the thesaurus construction for Sensibility adjective.

주제전문사서 양성을 위한 문헌정보학 교과과정 연구

This study suggests ameliorated Library and Information Science education, and its curriculum for education of national subject specialists. For that purpose, this study investigates and compares four internal universities, three American universities along with the figures of the present and future subjects to face updated educational plans and prepare to become a new information specialist at ALA(American Library Association), ALISE(Association for Library and Information Science Education), and other agents. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for training “subject specialist" in the university curriculum. 본 연구에서는 국내 주제전문사서 양성을 위한 개선된 문헌정보학 교육 및 교과과정 개선방안을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 국내 4개 대학교와 미국의 3개 대학교의 교과과정 및 미국도서관협회(ALA: American Library Association), 도서관교육협회(ALISE: Association for Library and Information Science Education)와 기타 기관에서 정보전문가(information specialist)의 양성 과정을 비교분석하였다. 그 결과를 국내 대학의 문헌정보학과 교육과정에 개설된 교과목과 수와 학점 수를 고려하여 미래지향적인 주제전문사서 양성프로그램개발을 위한 자료로 활용하였다. 본 연구 결과는 대학교 교육과정에서 ‘주제전문사서’ 양성을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

해외 회색문헌의 국내 유통 활성화에 관한 연구

회색문헌은 공개를 목적으로 발간하지 않고. 비영리를 목적으로 정해진 범위내의 이용자만을 위한 내부용 자료이다. 대표적인 회색문헌으로는 기술보고서와 프로시딩, 학위논문이 있으며, 이는 속보성이라는 특성 때문에 연구개발을 위한 핵심자료 가운데 하나이다. 회색문헌의 학술적 가치를 조사한 결과, 회색문헌은 학술논문을 제외하고 단행본보다 그 활용도가 높은 것으로 조사되었다 한편, 해외 회색문헌을 실제적으로 이용하고 관리하는 연구기관의 이용자와 정보센터의 사서를 대상으로 해외 회색문헌의 이용행태도 조사하였다. 그 결과 연구원의 90% 이상이 해외 회색문헌에 대한 원문 이용을 요구하고 있었다. 또한 사서들은 '입수소요시간에 따른 문제'와 '발행정보의 부족'을 해외 회색문헌 활용의 저해요인으로 지적하였다. 회색문헌의 집중 관리에 대해서는 많은 기관들이 필요성은 인정하고 있었으며, 집중관리센터의 주체는 참여 도서관이 동등한 권한과 책임을 갖는 얼라이언스(alliance) 형태를 선호하고 있었다. Grey literature is a non-Public data only for nonprofit users. Some of the major grey literatures are technical report, Proceeding, and thesis. For their Promptitude, these sources are core of research and development. According to a research on the academic qualify. grey literatures have higher usage rates than books-articles excluded. Also, the usage of foreign grey literature by librarians of research organization was investigated. The result was that over 90 percent of the researchers were demanding the original text of the foreign grey literature. In addition, librarians pointed out that the time-consuming problem and the lack of published information was a hindrance to using grey literature. For the centralized management of grey literature. they wanted an alliance structure.

이용자중심의 시소러스관리프로그램 설계

A thesaurus in playing an important role as a mean of improving effectiveness of information retrieval between the system and the searcher. Due to the necessity of using thesaurus for information retrieval, three are about 500 different thesauri in different subjects areas in different languages throughout the world. So for the construction of thesaurus, a thesaurus management system is needed which can process dynamic variations fast and exactly such as input, correction and deletion of words, and definition of new relationship between words. In the paper, I developed a thesaurus management system based on the object-oriented technique and GUI screen, and to enhance the effectiveness of information retrieval.

과학기술 표준 검색어 개발에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 이용자 중심의 과학기술 검색용 인터페이스 기능가운데 주요한 요소인 서지정보 요소 표준용어(데이터베이스 표준 필드명) 개발을 제안하였다. 왜냐하면 국내외의 많은 과학기술정보 데이터베이스가 서로 다른 표준 필드명을 사용하고 있어 이용자들로 하여금 통합적이며 표준적인 정보검색에 제한을 초래하고 있기 때문이다. 즉, 이용자들은 서로 상이한 데이터베이스를 검색할 때 각기 서로 다른 검색식을 입력해야 한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 한국과학기술정보연구원에서 제공하고 있는 검색 필드명과 정보학 용어사전에서 제공하고 있는 용어와 실제 필드명을 분석하여 검색 시스템에서 사용할 수 있는 표준 필드명과 요소 용어를 제안하였다.

대학도서관 전자책 서비스 이용자 만족도에 관한 연구

This research surveyed college students in Korea on their satisfaction for e-book services provided by university libraries. Their usage behavior was investigated, and the satisfaction rate for e-book usage and its service quality were analyzed to comprehend the status of e-book usage. The analysis showed that overall satisfaction for e-book service of university libraries was 2.93 on average. Moreover, the more frequently a student used the service, the more satisfied the student was; junior/senior-level and graduate school student groups showed higher satisfaction for e-book service than freshman and sophomore students. The most influential factor for satisfaction based on the e-book service quality was the content of the service, followed by the library support service system. Based on the findings, reinforcement of library public relations and user education, and the maintenance of the variety and up-to-date status of the contents were proposed to stimulate future university library e-book services. 이 연구는 우리나라 대학생 집단을 대상으로 대학도서관 전자책 서비스 만족도를 조사하였다. 전자책 이용에 대한 현황을 파악하고자 이용행태를 조사하였고, 전자책 이용행태와 전자책 서비스품질차원에 따른 만족도를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 대학도서관 전자책 서비스에 대한 전반적인 만족도는 평균 2.93으로 보통인 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 이용빈도가 높은 이용자일수록 만족도가 높았고, 저학년 집단에 비해 고학년 집단과 대학원집단이 전자책서비스에 대한 전반적인 만족도에서 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 전자책서비스품질차원은 콘텐츠이며, 도서관 지원서비스, 시스템 순으로 영향을 미쳤다. 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 향후 전자책에 기반한 대학도서관 서비스를 활성화하기 위해서는 도서관 홍보를 비롯하여 이용자 교육의 강화, 콘텐츠의 다양성과 최신성을 유지할 것을 제안하였다.

유사어 사전을 이용한 웹기반 질의문의 자동 범주화에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 웹기반 질의문을 자동 범주화하는 방안에 대해 조사하였다. 질의문 범주화에 대한 실험은 SVM-light를 사용하여 범주자질로써 유사어 사전을 부여하기 전과 후를 비교하였다. 유사어는 학습을 통해 수작업으로 대상문서에서 713개를 추출하였다. 전체적으로 유사어 부여전과 부여후의 결과는 6개 범주에서 정도율은 -0.01%로 거의 변화가 없었으며 재현율은 8.53%가 향상되었다. F1-Measure 값도 4.58%가 향상되었다. 특히 범주내 정도율과 재현율의 표준편차가 18.39%나 개선되어 적정한 검색효율을 확보할 수 있었다. In this study, the way of the automatic text categorization on web-based query was implemented. X2 methods based on the Supported Vector Machine were used to test the efficiency of text categorization on queries. This test is carried out by the model using the Synonymy List. 713 synonyms were extracted manually from the tested documents. As the result of this test, the precision ratio and the recall ratio were decreased by -0.01% and by 8.53%, respectively whether the synonyms were assigned or not. It also shows that the Value of F1 Measure was increased by 4.58%. The standard deviation between the recall and precision ratio was improve by 18.39%.

토픽맵을 이용한 시소러스의 구조화 연구

The terminology management is absolutely necessary for maintain ing the efficiency of thesaurus. This is because the c reating, differentiating, disappearing, and other processes of e management of thesaurus a very difficult task. Therefore, a device is required for acco mplishing methods to construct and maintain the thesaurus.This study proposes the methods to construct the thesaurus mana elements of a topic map which are topic, ocurrence, and associ ation. Second, the study proposes the methods to represent the basic and specific instances using the systematic maping algorithm and merging algorithm.methods to expand and subsitute the descriptors using the topic type. The new method applying fixed concept for double layer manageme nt on terms is developed, too. The purpose of this method is to fix the conceptual term which and space, and to select the des criptor freely by external info rmation circumstance. 시소러스의 효율성을 유지하기 위해서는 지속적인 용어 관리가 절대적으로 필요하다. 실제적으로 특정 주제영역의 정보와 키워드들은 생성과 분화, 소멸 과정 등이 동적으로 이루어지기 때문에 시소러스의 효율적인 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 토픽맵의 기본요소인 토픽과 대상물, 연관관계 등을 활용하여 시소러스 관리를 위한 구조화 방안을 제안하였다. 한편 구조체계의 맵핑 알고리즘과 구조체계의 병합 알고리즘을 이용한 시소러스 기본관계와 세부관계 표현 방법도 제안하였다. 또한 토픽 타입을 이용한 연결중심문서를 기준으로 디스크립터의 확장과 디스크립터의 대치 방안을 제시하였다. 특히, 고정된 개념을 통한 이중 용어관리라는 새로운 방안도 개발하였다. 이는 시간과 공간의 비종속적인 개념을 표현하는 용어를 고정시키고, 해당 개념의 범주에 속하면서 외부의 정보적 상황에 따라 디스크립터를 자유롭게 선정하는 방법이다.
