N/A The cutaneous tolerability of detergent formulations can be improved by means of suitable additives. They complex the surfactant molecules lowering the concentration of their free monomeric species. Proteins derivatives used as additives for detergency are usually prepared by partial hydrolysis of plant reserve proteins. The main purpose of the hydrolytic cleavage is to make them water soluble and suitable for liquid products. Water solubility and stability are obtained by means of complexation with surfactants which also increase their actual hydrophobicity, an important parameter affecting cosmetic properties of proteins. Transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and electric capacitance (EC) have been adopted as investigation technigues to evaluate the skin integrity/damage in vitro tests, The performance of native wheat protein / surfactant complexes has been compared with traditional protein hydrolysates as detergent additives. The results show a noticeable reduction of skin irritation in surfactant formulations with addition of native wheat protein.
디글리세롤 N - 아실 글루탐산 에스테르류의 합성 및 계면성

디글리세를 N-아실 글루탐산 에스테르 비이온성 계면활성제를 4급 암모늄염을 촉매로 사용하여 글리시돌과 N-아실글루탐산과 에스테르 반응시켜 합성하였다. 표면장력법에 의해서 산정한 임계미셀농도는 0.15∼0.75㏖/ℓ이었고 수용액에서의 표면장력은 28∼35dyne/㎝로 저하되었다. 또한 아실기의 탄소수가 12인 L-DGLG가 가장 좋은 기포력과 유화력을 나타냈고, 대두유보다 블루엔에서 유화적이 높게 관찰되었다. 카본블랙과 산화철에서 아실기 탄소수 16과 18인 L-DGPG와 L-DGSG는 L-DGLG보다 분산성이 우수했으며, 이들은 모두 좋은 생분해성을 나타냈다. Nonionic surfactants, diglycerol N-acyl glutamates were prepared through the esterification of N-acyl glutamic acids and glycidol in the presence of quarternary ammonium salts. Their cmc evaluated by the surface tension method was 0.15∼0.75mmol/ℓ, and the surface tension of aqueous solution was decreased to 28∼ 35dyne/㎝. L-DGLG with acyl group of carbon number of 12 showed good foaming power and emulsifying power, and the emulsifying power in toluene was stronger than in soybean oil. Dispersion effect of L-DGPG and L-DGSG with acyl group of carbon number of 16 and 18 in carbon black and ferric oxide were higher than L-DGLG. All of them showed good biodegradability at 20℃.

The synthesis of N-methyl glucamine was performed in two step reaction. The first step involves the amination between methylamine and glucose in methane. The N-methyl glucamine was obtained by the reduction of using Ni catalyst under the high pressure. The second step was glucamide anionic derivatives synthesis from N-methyl glucamine, maleic anhydride, lauryl alcohol and laurylamine by Schotten Banmann reaction respectively. Their molecular structures of N-methyl glucamine and glucamide (EG-MAS and AC-MAS) were investigated by IR and H-NMR. Basic physical properties and biodegradability of there glucamide anionic surfactant was investigated. The range of cmc values determined by measurements of surface tention was 10^-5~10^-4mol/l and the surface tension of the aqueous solution revealed in the range 28~30 dyne/cm and their biodegradability was very good in the pH 5~10.

N/A White emission is important for applying organic EL devices to full-color flat panel display and backlight for liquid crystal display. In order to obtain white emission, the use of a light-emitting material which shows the white emission by itself is advantageous for these applications because of its high reliability and productivity. A chelate-metal complex such as zinc bis(2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzothiazolate) (Zn(BTZ)_2 was known to emit white light with a broad electroluminescence. In this study, the electroluminescent characteristics of Be(BTZ)_2 and Mg(BTZ)_2, as well as Zn(BTS)_2 were investigated using organic electroluminescent devices with the structure of ITO/TPD/ Be(BTZ)_2, Mg(BTZ)_2, or Zn(BTZ)_2/Al. It was found that the device containing Be(BTZ)_2 showed the highest power efficiency.

N/A Curing reaction was carried out with the acrylic resin (ACR) [n-buty] acrylate/atyrene/2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate/acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate (AAEM)] synthesized before and a curing agent, hexamethoxymethylmelamine (HMMM). With rotational rheometer, the effect of catalysts on curing rate of acrylic resin/melamine was examined. Among the four catalysts used, p-toluene sulfonic acid showed the highest reactivity, and the optimum amount of catalyst was 0.5 phr. It was observed that in the ACR/HMMM curing reaction, gelation point was lowered with the increasing the amount of AAEM and HMMM in the ACR.
