In this paper, we propose the automatic generation method of digital elevation map based on contour map. The proposed method classifies contour data and non-contour data by thinning and labeling process of the contour line and then connects smoothly broken contour line by Bezier curve. Finally, the digital elevation map is generated by the interpolation using the height data of the contour line. The proposed method can reduce vest effort, time and expense which is spend to make digital elevation map.
Vol.35 No.2
This study used purposive sampling method to find out the influence of the communication with major professor on self-esteem and adaptation to school study by sampling 365 university students with major in dance departments in 5 4-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. For survey tool, Communication of Gang Jae Won (1994), Self-esteem of Gang Jong Gu (1986), and Survey on Adaptation to School Studies of Park Seong Mi (2001) are modified, supplemented and used according to the study subjects. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out on the collected data using SPSS 21.0 program to solve the study subject. As a result, first, it was found out that the communication with the major professor perceived by the university students with major in dance had positive influence on the self-esteem. Second, the communication with major professor perceived by university student with major in dance was found out to have positive influence on the adaptation to school studies. Third, the self-esteem of the university students with major in dance was found to have positive influence on the adaptation to school studies. This is to help successful university school life and employment of the university students with major in dance, and it is expected to provide basic data for the proper development of the university dance education.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the cooperative levels of dental patients requiring general anesthesia during dental treatments. Anesthetic induction methods for patients were also recorded and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Methods: Total 566 patients who visited Seoul National University Dental Hospital Clinic for Persons with Disabilities were reviewed on pre-anesthetic review and anesthesia records. The cooperative levels of patients were graded by 4 levels and induction methods used for the patients during general anesthesia application were analyzed. Results: More than half of patients(55.8%) were willing to receive the anesthetic induction(cooperative level 1), 18.6% were minimally cooperative(level 2), 20.8% needed physical restraint prior to induction(level 3), and 4.8% was poorly cooperative and induction procedure was performed under an unconscious condition after ketamine intramuscular injection(level 4). There was no gender difference in cooperative levels(P=0.11). Patients over 30 years revealed better cooperation levels compared to other age groups(P<0.05). For patients of level 1, 53.5% were anesthetized in a way of intravenous induction, while 77.1% out of patients of level 3 were anesthetically induced through inhalation method. Conclusion: Many dental patients with special needs were not cooperative to receive anesthetic induction. Additional behavioral support may be applied to poorly cooperative patients for the safe and successful clinical outcome.
