This paper describes a novel method for fabrication of mold core with enhanced mechanical properties and geometric accuracy. Those properties are a crucial factors not only for molding accuracy but also for mold service life in numerous application. Pulse reverse current (PRC) electroforming process in one of prominent method for mold core to have high hardness and low internal stress. In this paper, the mold core was fabricated from four inch silicon wafer via PRC electroforming process and subsequently, hardness, internal stress and flatness of mold core were measured. The feasibility of PRC electroforming process was verified by analysis of the mechanical properties and geometric accuracy.
