실험적 완전 허혈을 일으킨 희쥐 뇌조직 Na^+-K^+ATPase활성도의 경시적 변화와 Thiopental의 영향

Since Schwartz et at. (1976) reported that in the ischemic state, Na^+-K^+ ATPase activity of the brain was reduced, numerous authorities have agreed with him, but chronological sequence of the subcellular metabolic mechanisms of the phenomenon is still obscure. Rehncrona et al. (1981), Demopoulos et al. (1977) and Hass et al. (1981) proposed different mechanisms about it but none of them are accepted with an accord. To make us more chaotic, MacMillan (1982) criticized the previous reports and insisted that Na^+-K^+ ATPase showed a capability for enhanced activity in the complete ischemic rat brain. This study documented Na+-K^+ ATPase activity as well as the thiopental sodium effect on it chronologically in the rat brain induced to complete ischemia produced by decapitation. We obtained the results that Na^+-K^+ ATPase activity reduced significantly from 10 minutes after decapitation and gradually reduced with the passage of the time. Na^+-K^+ ATPase activity reduction at 30 minutes after decapitation approaches to 50% of the control. On the contrary, the thiopental(50mg/kg) group showed no significant reduction of Na^+-K^+ ATPase activity until 30 minutes after decapitation. There results suggested us that ischemic insult produced cell membrane disintegration and the thiopental was protective to such a destructive sequence of cell membrane.
중금속 검출용 고감도 나노표지센서 구현을 위한 볼타메트리 시스템 설계 연구

In this study, voltammetry system for realizing high sensitivity nano-labeled sensor of detecting heavy metals was designed, and optimal system operating conditions were determined. High precision digital to analog converter (DAC) circuit was designed to control applied unit voltage at working electrode and analog to digital converter (ADC) circuit was designed to measure the current range of $0.1{\sim}1000{\mu}A$ at counter electrode. Main control unit (MCU) circuit for controlling voltammetry system with 150 MHz clock speed, main memory circuit for the mathematical operation processing of the measured current value and independent power circuit for analog/digital circuit parts to reduce various noise were designed. From result of voltammetry system operation, oxidation current peaks which are proportional to the concentrations of Zn, Cd and Pb ions were found at each oxidation potential with high precision.
On spaces of weak* to weak continuous compact operators

This paper is concerned with the space Kw * (X*, Y ) of weak* to weak continuous compact operators from the dual space X* of a Banach space X to a Banach space Y . We show that if X* or Y* has the Radon-Nikod´ym property, C is a convex subset of Kw* (X*, Y ) with 0 ∈C and T is a bounded linear operator from X* into Y , then T ∈ C τc if and only if [수식] , where τc is the topology of uniform convergence on each compact subset of X, moreover, if T 2 Kw* (X*, Y ), here C need not to contain 0, then T ∈ Cτc if and only if T ∈ C in the topology of the operator norm. Some properties of Kw* (X* , Y ) are presented.

Cryptococcosis is the most common form of fungal infection of the central nervous system, which is classified as meningeal, embolic and perivascular type. Cryptococcal meningitis and meningo-encephalitis are not infrequent, but the only 40 cases of localized torula granuloma in the central nervous system had been reported in the worldwide literature until 1973 since the first report of LeCount and Myers in 1907. Our new case reported here, a thirty-eight year old female patient was admitted to our department because of abruptly appeared headache with nausea and vomiting, drowsy mental state and left hemiparesis. On admission the left hemiparesis and remarkable meningeal irritation signs were found. Chest film and skull films showed no evidence of abnormality. The right carotid angiogram revealed the shifting of the anterior cerebral artery to the left side with concomittant U-loop widening (Fig.1), Sylvian triangle displaced posteriorly, closed carotid siphon(Fig. 2) and abonormal draining vessels with staining on the frontal base of cerebrum (Fig.1,2,3,4). Examination of the cerebrospinal fluid showed remarkable polymorphonuclear leucocyte predominant pleocytosis, elevated protein and normal sugar content. And negative smear for cryptecocci and other microorganisms. A right frontal craniotomy and brain exploration exposed grayish gelationus mass of about 3.5cm in diameter, which was partially removed. Microscopic findings were acute and chronic inflammatory changes in different stages with various types of giant cells and cryptococci (Fig. 5,6). On the third postoperative day, the patient died. Neither amphotericin-B nor 5-Fluorocy-tosine was administered because preoperative diagnosis was brain tumor, and postmortem exmination couldn't be done.

=목적: 증상있는 자궁 탈출증의 수술적 치료로 경험있는 집도의가 시행한 질식 천골가시인대 고정술의 성공률과 합병증을 알아보고자 하였다.연구 방법: 1996년 3월부터 2002년 3월까지 증상 있는 자궁 탈출증으로 질식천골가시인대 고정술을 시행한 105명의 환자를 대상으로 하였다. 일차적으로 수술과 관련된 합병증을 조사하였다. 수술의 실패란 재수술이 필요한 질말단부/자궁 탈출, 증상이 동반된 질말단부/자궁 탈출, 그리고 질 입구 또는 그 이상까지 다시 재발한 골반내 장기 탈출로 정의하였다. 통계학적 방법은 단순 기술통계를 사용하였다. 결과: 동기간에 105명의 환자가 질식 천골가시인대 고정술을 시행하였으며, 41명을 자궁 적출술과 함께, 38명은 자궁 적출술 없이, 25명은 이전의 자궁 적출술후에 발생한 질말단부 탈출로 그리고 한명은 자궁 경부의 길어짐으로 인하여 자궁 경부 절제술과 함께 시행하였다. 평균 추적기간은 17.7개월 이였다 (0-66개월). 수술 중에 4예의 합병증이 발생하였다. 3예의 직장 손상과 1예의 방광 손상. 수혈을 필요로 하는 급성 출혈이나 수술로 인한 사망은 없었다. 8명의 환자가 우측 둔부에 동통을 호소하였으며 이들 중에 2명은 6주 이상 지속되었다. 수술 후에 16예에서 골반내 장기 재발이 있었으며 질말단부나 자궁이 11예, 방광류가 4예, 직장류가 1예였다. 이들 중에 재수술이 필요한 경우는 6예로서 성공률은 94.3%였다. 결론: 증상 있는 자궁 탈출증의 수술적 치료로 경험 있는 집도의에 의행 시행된 질식 천골가시인대 고정술은 낮은 합병증과 높은 성공률을 보이는 안전하고 효과적인 방법이다.
