존 웨슬리와 다문화 사역: 런던(London)과 브리스톨(Bristol)에서의 사역을 중심으로

본 논문은 존 웨슬리의 초기 부흥운동이 런던에서 옥스퍼드를 거쳐 브리스톨에서 특색을 드러내기 시작했음을 보이고 있다. 런던과 옥스퍼드가 당시 영국의 도시와 지적인 분위기를 대변한다면, 브리스톨은 상대적으로 지방에서 산업혁명을 통해 새롭게 성장하는 지역을 대변한다. 즉 논문은 웨슬리의 사역을 보다 면밀히 살피면, 많은 경우 다문화의 배경을 갖고 있고, 상이한 문화의 차이와 한계를 뛰어넘으려는 사역임을 드러낸다고 주장 한다. 이 글은 웨슬리가 부흥운동에 참여하였던 1738년 런던에서의 개인체험 (Aldersgate)과 동료들과의 공동체험(Fetter Lane)이 어떤 의미에서 다문화 적인 요소가 있는지 살피고, 브리스톨에서의 사역이 보다 본격적으로 다문화 사역의 모습을 띠게 되었다는 점을 밝히려고 한다. 특히 신학적인 도전을 준 모라비안과의 교류, 가난한 자들을 위한 사역, 흑인노예무역 반대 사역, 그리고 이방인 포로들을 위한 활동, 마지막으로 새롭게 만들어진 다민족 국가인 미국에 대한 선교 등에서 웨슬리의 다문화 사역을 찾아보려고 한다. 논문은 주로 1738년 이후 웨슬리의 초기 부흥운동에 시기적인 범위를 두며, 런던과 브리스톨이라는 두 지역에 지역적인 경계를 두고 진행한다. 그리하여 목회적인 측면에서, 본 논문은 현대사회에서 마주하게 되는 다문화속에서 관용과 공존은 어떻게 가능한지를 모색하는데 기여할 점을 웨슬리를 통해 제시하고자 한다. This article shows that John Wesley's early revival movement began to appear in Bristol, after passing through Oxford from London. If London and Oxford represent the British city and intellectual ambience of the time, Bristol represents a relatively new area of growth through the Industrial Revolution in the region. In other words, the paper claims that a closer look at Wesley's ministry reveals that in many cases it has a multicultural background, and that it seeks to overcome the differences and limitations of different cultures. This article examines the significance of the multicultural element of Wesley's personal experience in 1738 (Aldersgate) and communal experience in 1739 (Fetter Lane) in London, and it implies that his ministry in Bristol is more authentic to reveal his concerns for a multicultural ministry. In particular, it is trying to find Wesley's multicultural ministry through interactions with the Moravians that have given and taken theological challenges, ministries for the poor, ministries against black slave trade, activities for foreign prisoners, and finally sending the preachers to America, a newly formed multiethnic nation. The thesis mainly focuses on Wesley's early revival movements since 1738, and proceeds with regional boundaries in two areas: London and Bristol. Therefore, in the pastoral aspect, this thesis intends to suggest through Wesley that it will contribute to the search for how tolerance and coexistence are possible in a multicultural society encountered in modern society.

이 글에서는 웨슬리의 저널의 중요성을 제기하면서, 저널의 자료, 즉 일 기(Diary)의 특징과 그 연관성, 저널의 문학특징, 저널의 출판 시기와 주요 내용과 사건, 그리고 저널을 통하여 유추할 수 있는 웨슬리의 생각과 사상 더 나아가 18세기 영국의 부흥운동에서 그의 활동을 정리하였다. 이를 위 해, 단순히 신학적인 주제를 따라 추적하는 방법이 아니라, 시간 흐름과 경 과를 의식하는 역사적 방법을 이용하여, 문학적·사회적 정황을 비교하고, 더 나아가 대중문화사의 시각에서 그의 저널을 읽을 것을 제안하려고 한다. 이제까지 한국 신학계에서 웨슬리 저널의 출판 동기와 기록 방법에 대 한 질문이 없을 만큼 웨슬리 연구가 신학주제 중심으로 치우쳐 있었으며, 그 만큼 지성적이고 합리적인 웨슬리 찾기에 기울어져 있었다. 이 글은 웨 슬리의 보다 인간적이고 자연적인 모습을 추적하여, 더 입체적인 웨슬리 복원에 기여하고자 한다. 이 글 결론적으로 웨슬리의 저널에서 다음의 사항이 발견됨을 지적한다. 첫째, 그의 신학이 평생을 통해 발전하고 있다. 그렇게 도달한 것이 바로 “그리스도인의 완전,” 즉 성결을 목표로 하는 신학이었다. 둘째, 저널을 통 해 메소디스트 부흥의 현장을 생생하게 목격할 수 있다. 셋째, 웨슬리는 저널을 위해 현상학적인 방법에 의존하고 있다. 넷째, 웨슬리 저널을 통해 18 세기 영국의 대중사를 볼 수 있다. 마지막으로, 저널을 통하여 결국 웨슬리 는 메소디스트 신도회가 타락한 세상에 대한 대안공동체라는 것을 보이려 고 하였다. This Paper brings up the importance of John Wesley’s Journals and analyzes the characteristics of his Diaries, which were the primary materials of his Journals, and the relationship between them. This includes the journals’ literary features, their periods of publications, their main contents and events. And finally, it infers Wesley’s thoughts and theology with his activities during the 18th-century British Revival Movement from his Journals. For its methodology, not through searching for theological themes simply, but through acknowledging the passage of time, it fulfills historical approach, compares the cultural-social contexts, and suggests the reading of his Journals through the lens of popular cultural history. Up to now, Wesley studies in Korea have so strongly focused on his theological themes that nobody has raised the questions over Wesley’s intentions in his Journal publications and his recording methods within Korean theological studies. This treatise, therefore, tries to trace a more humane and more natural Wesley and to contribute toward restoring a holistic figure of Wesley. In conclusion, this paper points out the following from Wesley’s Journals. First, his theology developed in his lifetime and, as a matter of course, wasgathered under the title of Christian perfection, which is the theology of aiming at the goal of holiness. Second, his Journals describe and report lively the places of revival movement and what was happening there. Third, in his Journals, Wesley uses the phenomenological method to accept as truth what happened among people. Fourth, his Journals pretty well show the 18th-century British popular history. After all, Wesley tried to prove his Methodist Society as an alternative community for the corrupted world through his journal publications

또래 자살예방 지킴이를 위한 교육용 기능성 게임 개발

저출산 고령화 시대에 청소년 사망원인 1위가 자살이라는 것은 일부 계층의 문제가 아니고 우 리 사회가 해결해야 할 위급하고 중요한 사회적 문제로 인식되어야 한다. 우리는 일반 청소년을 대상으로 자살에 대한 올바른 태도와 이해를 습득하고 또래 친구의 자살징후를 조기에 발견하여 전문기관에 연계할 수 있는 자살예방 지킴이의 양성 교육을 지원하고자 한다. 본 논문은 청소년 이 공감할 수 있는 구체적인 상황과 함께 연동하는 시나리오 기반 학습 프로그램과 이를 구현하 여 청소년의 참여를 유도하는 비주얼 노벨 형식의 기능성 게임을 제안한다. 우리는 제안하는 교 육용 기능성 게임이 스마트기기를 통한 교육현장과 청소년의 접근성 향상시킬 것으로 기대한다. In the age of low fertility and aging society, youth suicide is not the problem of a certain class but it should be recognized as an urgent and important social problem to be solved by our society. We aim to support the training of youth gatekeeper who can acquire the right attitude and understanding of suicide for adolescents, detect premature suicide signs of peer friends and link them to specialized institutions. In this paper, we propose a scenario based learning program that is linked to the concrete situation that the young people can sympathize with and a serious educational game of visual novel type that encourages participation of youth. We expect that the proposed serious game will improve the accessibility of educational facilities and youths through smart devices.

한국교회사학회의 성장과 발전: 1966년부터 1999년까지

이 글은 1966년 시작된 한국교회사학회가 1999년까지 이룩한 역사를 성장과 발전이라는 측면에서 살펴보고 있다. 전체적으로 육하원칙의 틀에 따른 보고의 형식을 따르면서, 우선 창립시기의 인물과 학회의 활동을 시간 순으로 구성하고 있다. 그리고 학회가 하였던 일들을 민경배 교수의 언급에 따라, 연구발표회, 자료집 발행, 학회지 간행 등으로 나누어 살펴본다. 마지막으로, 이를 위해 어떻게 학회의 재정이 모이고 지출되었는지를 점검 하고 있다. 아울러 이 글은 연구과정에서 제기한 논의 틀로 재구성한 몇 개의 표를 포함하고 있다. 본 연구는 한국교회사학회의 초기의 성장과 발전은 한국에서 교회역사 를 공부하고 가르치는 학자들을 통하여 이루어졌다는 것을 지적한다. 초대 회장 백낙준 교수를 비롯한 이들의 헌신을 통하여 기초가 놓이고, 그 뒤를 잇는 후배와 제자들에 의해 기둥과 외양을 갖추게 되었다. 회원, 임원, 그리고 재정은 꾸준히 증가하였고, 이를 통해 연구발표회, 자료집 발간, 학회지 간행 등의 사업은 분명한 틀과 규모를 갖추게 되었다. 우선, 이 시기 한국교회사학회의 발전을 더 세밀하고 깊이 연구하기 위하여, 회원들이 개인적으로 보관하고 있는 자료를 수집하여 보완하는 것이 필요하다. 초기 한국교회사학회는 교단적인 신학적 편협성을 뛰어넘는 에큐메니컬 모임으로서의 특성을 보며, 한국사회의 민주화, 평화, 통일의 문제에 관심을 학문적으로 표현하고자 했다. 그리고 무엇보다도 회원 각자의 학문적인 관심과 연구, 그 이상으로 회원들간의 교제가 중심에 있었다. This article examines the history of the Church History Society in Korea, which began in 1966, until 1999 in terms of growth and development. In general, following the format of the report according to the principles of 5 Ws and 1 H. it organizes chronologically the figures of the founding period and the activities of the Society. In addition, for Professor Kyung-Bae Min's comment, the Society worked for research presentations, publications, and journal publications. Finally, it examines how the funding of the Society was collected and spent. In addition, this article contains several tables that have been restructured into a discussion framework raised during the research process. This study points out that the early growth and development of the Church History Society in Korea was conducted by the scholars who study and teach church history in Korea. The foundation was established through the dedication of the first president, Professor Nak-Joon Paik, and the pillars and appearance by the juniors and disciples. Members, officers, and finances have steadily increased, and this has led to a clear framework and scale for projects such as research presentations, publications, and journal publications. Above all, in order to study the development of the Society in more detail and depth, it is necessary to collect and supplement the data that members keep personally. The Society, as an ecumenical group that goes beyond denominational theological intolerance, attempted to express academic interest in the issues of democratization, peace and unification of Korea. Finally, the fellowship between the members was centered on the academic interests and researches of each member.

Geniposide, an iridoid glucoside, has been isolated from the butanol fraction of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis (Rubiaceae). The component was found to be transformed into the blue pigments by some aerobic bacteria, suggesting that geniposide is the precursor for the formation of pigments after converting into genipin, an aglycon of geniposide, by ${\beta}-glucosidase$. Some bacteria having a ${\beta}-glucosidase$ activity did not form the pigments, which may mean that the formation of pigments can only be occurred by the reaction of any enzyme or compound in the pigment-producing bacteria.
