Localized bullous pemphigoid is a rare blistering disease characterized by chronic recurrent localized bullae with clinical, histopsthologic, and immunofluorescent features of bullous pemphigoid. It is generally accepted that this disease occurs in two forms : one with scarring bullous plaques located on the head and neck, described by Brunsting and Perry, and the other with nonscarring bullous lessions, usually present on the legs of women. We herein report a case of localized scarring bullous pemphigoid in 40-year-old man who showed vesicles, bullae and erosions on the right cheek. Histologic findings showed subepidermal bulla, and direct immunoflurescent study showed linear deposit of IgG & C3 on the basement membrane zone. This patient was cantrolled sucessfully with short-term systemic corticosteriod and local injection of triamcinclone actetonide.

Pemphigua foliaceus is a rare, relatively mild and chronic variety of pemphigus which is characterized by superficial flaccid bullae which show acantholytic changes in the upper part of the epidermis histopathologically. We report herein five cases of pemphigus foliaceus. The patients had erythematous and crusted patches chiefly on face, chest and back areas, except for case 2 who had flaccid bullae on the upper extrimities. The diagnosis of all these patients were confirmed by immunofluorescence studies. Among these five patients, one was recognized as a rifampicin induced pemphigus foliaceus, and the other one revealed concurrent lesions of psoriasis.
한국어판 사회복지 가치 지향 척도(Professional Opinion Scale)의 신뢰도와 타당도 평가

본 연구는 국내 연구와 실천현장에서 사회복지 실천가들의 사회복지 가치 지향 정도를 가시적으로 측정해 낼 수 있는 적정한 척도가 부재하다는 한계점을 인식하고, 국외에서 개발된 대표적인 사회복지가치 척도인 Professional Opinion Scale(POS)을 우리말로 번안한 후, 신뢰도, 타당도를 평가하여 국내 사회복지 상황에 유용한 척도를 개발하고자 하였다. 확인적 요인분석 결과 한국어판 POS는 영어판 POS와 마찬가지로 4가지 차원(기본 권리에 대한 존중, 자기결정에 대한 지지, 사회적 책임감에 대한 의식, 개인 자유에 대한 책무)으로 구성되었음을 확인하였다. 한국어판 사회복지 가치 지향 척도의 신뢰도는 양호하였으며, 옹호척도와 정적상관관계를 보여, 척도의 수렴타당도가 입증되었다. 본 연구를 통해 사회복지 실천가들의 가치 지향과 관련한 논의가 활성화되고, 실천현장의 서비스와 사회복지가치 지향과의 관련성을 보다 용이하게 파악할 수 있길 기대한다. Although social work values are stressed among social work educators as well as practitioners, empirical studies on values have been very scarce. The objective of this study is to validate a Korean Version of the Professional Opinion Scale(POS). The Korean version was validated with a sample of 325 social worker working in various types of social work agencies. A series of confirmatory factor analysis suggested that 8 items be removed, resulting in 32 items with 4 factors. The Korean version has the same factor structure as the original version of the POS reported by its developer. The Korean version of the POS are found to be a reliable and valid instrument for measuring social work values. However, validation with more representative samples is needed to improve the quality of the Korean version of the POS.

Shape optimization of a flow system is done to obtain the required effects, in the engineering fields. Most of these designs are accomplished by empirical or numerical analysis. In empirical analysis, it is difficult to obtain an optimal shape in the feasible design region. And, in numerical method, it usually needs much calculation expenses for shape optimization, because of design sensitivity analysis. In this study, we used the growth-strain method having only one distributed parameter such as a design variable. It optimizes a shape by making a distributed parameter such as dissipation energy uniform in a flow system, and then applied to two-flow systems. In order to overcome the stability occurred in numerical analysis performed by Azegami, the equation of volumic strain has been modified. Also, the shapes were compared with the known optimal shapes for the flow systems. Consequently, we confirm that the modified growth-strain method is very efficient and practical in shape optimization of the flow systems.
10년간의 의료기관 한센병 협력 진단 사업 성과 및 분석(2009~2018)

Background: Leprosy is a chronic granulomatous disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. As leprosy has a long disease course, various dermatoses must be considered in the differential diagnosis. Objective: In Korea, due to the low incidence rate of leprosy and lack of doctors with experience of leprosy, it is difficult to make an early diagnosis. Therefore, we evaluated the importance of cooperation projects in the diagnosis of leprosy. Methods: A retrospective study was performed on 137 patients who were referred by other hospitals to the Institute for Leprosy Research, Korean Hansen Welfare Association, to make an early diagnosis of leprosy from 2009 to 2018. Results: Among 137 patients, 19 were diagnosed with leprosy, which accounted for approximately 37% of new cases of leprosy in Korea during the 10 years. By nationality, 15 were Korean, and 4 were foreigners. The most common type was lepromatous leprosy. All multibacillary patients were positive for phenolic glycolipid-1 antibody, M. leprae-specific gene polymerase chain reaction, and acid-fast bacilli stain. Among the four paucibacillary patients who showed both negative acid-fast bacilli stain and phenolic glycolipid-1, three were positive for polymerase chain reaction. Of the 55 skin biopsy specimens that were not diagnosed with leprosy, granulomatous skin disease was the most commonly diagnosed condition. Conclusion: In this study, we diagnosed patients with leprosy who were referred from other hospitals due to the suspicion of leprosy, which enables early treatment of leprosy. Finally, we believe that our project has public health significance in preventing the spread of leprosy in the community. (Korean J Dermatol 2022;60(2):75∼81)

In general, shape optimization design of the flow system has done to obtain the effects, which are required in the engineering fields. Most of these designs are accomplished by empirical or numerical analysis. But, in empirical analysis case, it is difficult to obtain an optimal shape in the feasible design region. And, in numerical method case, it usually needs many design parameters, because of the required object-function. In this paper, we present a newly numerical analysis, the growth-strain method having only one design parameter. That optimizes a shape by distributing a design parameter such as dissipation energy to be uniformed in the flow system. Also, we apply this shape design process to the three-flow systems, and then we identify that the resulting shape approaches the known optimal shape in the numerical values. Consequently, we confirm that the proposed method is very efficient and practical in the shape optimization of the flow system.
