This experiment has been carried out td study the changes of caseins occurring in Cheddar cheese during ripening. The contents of total N, water soluble N, 12% TCA soluble N, and 5% NaCl soluble N were analyzed at intervals of 2 months and compared each other. Furthermore, total cheese casein, water soluble nitrogenous compounds, and 5% NaCl soluble nitrogenous compounds were fractionated by the use of DEAE-cellulose column. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The amounts of water soluble nitrogen in the cheese ripened for 2 and 4 months were 21.96% and 28.9% for total nitrogen in the cheese, respectively. On the other land, the amounts of 12% TCA soluble nitrogen in the cheese ripened for 2 and 4 months were 8.73% and 14.50% for total nitrogen, respectively. 2. The amounts, of 5%b NaCl soluble nitrogen in the cheese increased to 42.27% for 2 months ripening, but it decrease3 to 23.61% at 4th month. 3. Caseins of Cheddar cheese luring ripening were fractionated into 5 major and several minor peaks. Also, Soluble nitrogenous compounds in water and 5% NaCl were fractionated into 5 major and several minor ones, respectively. 4. At 4 months of ripening, total cheese casein and seluble nitrogenous compounds in 5% NaCl showed 10 and 4 bands on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, respectively.

This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between the mechanical properties and damping capacity of thermo-mechanical treated 316L stainless steel. Dislocations, ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensites were formed by thermo-mechanical treatment, and the grain size was changed from micrometer to sub-micrometer by 5-cycled thermo-mechanical treatment. The volume fraction of dislocations, ${\varepsilon}$ and ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensites was increased, and grain size of austenite increased and lengthened by the with increasing cycle number of thermo-mechanical treatment. In 5-cycled specimens, the volume fraction of ${\alpha}^{\prime}$-martensite was more than 25% and the less than 5% of volume fraction of ${\varepsilon}$-martensite was attained. With increasing number of thermo-mechanical treatment, hardness, strength and damping capacity were increased, but elongation was decreased. Damping capacity was increased with increased hardness and strength, but decreased with increased elongation, and this result was the opposite tendency for general metal.

A novel mathematical modeling in web transport systems for Continuous Annealing Processes (CAP) is proposed. Despite of thermal and weight effects in dynamics of web transport systems, the conventional mathematical model does not consider those effects. Disregard of these effects causes the low manufacturing quality of webs in CAP. In order to improve the manufacturing quality of webs in CAP, moreover, precise tension control is required based on the mathematical model. Therefore, an advanced mathematical model considering thermal and weight effects in CAP should be established. The effectiveness of a novel mathematical model is evaluated by comparing the performances of the PI tension control system based on the proposed mathematical model with that based on the conventional one through the computer simulation.
12주간 복합운동이 비만 청소년의 체지방 관련 사이토카인에 미치는 영향

김종식, 조현철, 강희성. 12주간 복합운동이 비만 청소년의 체지방 관련 사이토카인에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제20권 제3호. 329-338, 2011. 본 연구에서는 12주간의 복합운동 프로그램이 비만 청소년의 체지방 세포와 관련이 있는 leptin, adiponectin, IL-6에 미치는 효과를 규명하고자 하였다. 유산소 걷기운동은 주 4∼5회, 1∼5주까지는 45∼60% HRmax, 6∼12주까지는 61∼70% HRmax의 운동강도로 주기별 점증적으로 증가시켰으며, 저항 운동으로는 웨이트 트레이닝을 최대근력(1RM)의 60∼70%로 반복횟수 10∼12회, 3세트로 20분간 실시하였다. 복합운동집단과 걷기운동집단 모두 체중, 체지방률, BMI에서 유의한 변화를 나타내고 있으나 감소폭은 복합운동집단이 더욱 큰 것으로 나타났다. Leptin의 변화에서는 복합운동집단은 유의하게 감소하였으며(p<.01), 걷기운동집단도 유의한 감소가 나타났다(p<.01). Adiponectin 변화에서는 걷기운동집단은 유의하게 증가하였고(p<.01), 복합운동집단은 걷기운동집단보다 더욱 큰 증가폭을 나타내며 유의하게 증가하였다(p<.01). IL-6의 변화에서는 복합운동집단의 경우 통계적으로 유의하지 않지만 긍정적인 감소의 변화가 나타났으나 반대로 걷기운동집단의 경우는 증가하였다. 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이, 복합운동 프로그램이 체지방 관련 사이토카인 leptin, adiponectin, IL-6에 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔으며, 특히 leptin과 adiponectin은 운동 전보다 12주 후에 매우 유의하게 변화하는 양상을 보였다. 즉 규칙적인 복합운동 프로그램은 비만 청소년의 비만치료 및 건강개선에 기여할 것으로 생각된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of twelve weeks combined exercise on body composition and adipocyte in obese adolescents. The walking exercise group performed walking program on a treadmill, 4∼5 times a week (1∼5 week; at the intensity of 45∼60% HRmax, 6∼12 week; at the intensity of 61∼70% HRmax), the resistance exercise group performed weight training in 20 min (intensity; 1RM 60∼70%, repetition; 10∼12 rpt. per set, 3 sets). The body compositions such as body weight, body fat mass and body mass index (BMI) in both the combined exercise group and the walking exercise group were significantly changed in positive, but the drop rate of the combined exercise group was larger than the walking group. The changes of leptin in the combined exercise group was decreased after 12 weeks of exercise (p<.01), the walking exercise group also was decreased (p<.01). The changes of adiponectin in the combined exercise group was increased after twelve weeks of exercise (p<.01), the walking exercise group also was increased (p<.01). But, there was no special change in the control group. The changes of IL-6 in the combined exercise group was decreased after 12 weeks of exercise, the walking exercise group was increased. These results suggest that positive changes can be found in body composition (body weight, body fat mass, BMI) and adipocyte (leptin, adiponectin, IL-6). There were significant changes in leptin, adiponectin after the 12-week exercise compared to that of the beginning. Consequently, regular combined exercise program had a positive effect on body composition and adipocyte throughout the increase of BMR, muscle mass, lipolysis, and the utilization of fat. The combined exercise program will be make a great benefit on health improvement and the treatment of obesity.

HAYNES HR-120 alloy is a solid-solution strengthened Fe-Ni-Cr based super-alloy that possesses excellent strength at elevated temperatures, combined with very good resistance to carburizing and sulfidizing environments. The alloy is being used in industrial heating, heat treatment and land-based gas turbines. In this paper, we are developing a shroud ring for gas turbine using ring rolling. In order to reliability assessment, tensile and strength-rupture test were carried out to evaluate the mechanical properties. In addition, FE-analysis is implemented in order to reduce trial and error.
