Zinc coatings are widely used in practice for preventing the corrosion of steel. But the zinc coating can be involved by corrosion phenomena with the consequence that some steel surface is unprotected. The reduction of the corrosion rate of zinc is an important topic. In the past a very popular way to reduce the corrosion rate of zinc was the use of chemical conversion layers based on Cr??. However, there is the important problem that the use of chromium salts is now restricted because of environmental protection legislation. Therefore very important to develop new zinc surface treatments environmentally friendly to improve the corrosion resistance of zinc and the adhesion with the final organic protective layer. In this study, Urethane solution (only Urethane 20 % ; S-700) and organic/inorganic solution with Si (Si polysilicate 10 % + Urethane 6 % + hardner 4 % ; LRO317-1)are used. Based on the salt spray test of 72h, S-700 and LRO317-1 had a superior effect on EGI and HGI, respectively.
Drilling Characteristics of PVC Materials

This paper develops and evaluates a mechanical machining process which involves drilling on PVS material. According to the material, two treatment experiments were conducted, one involving drilling in a wet condition or using a lubricant and one involving drilling in a dry condition with no lubricant. Drilling in a dry condition showed better performance in terms of the cutting time than in the wet condition. Otherwise, the wet condition has several advantages. The lubricant influenced the burr diameter size and minimized the temperature on the surface of the work piece. During the wet condition drilling process, a smaller burr diameter size was noted as compared to the dry condition. The temperature showed a linear correlation with the drill bit size, where a least-square analysis provided an R<SUP>2</SUP>valuewhichexceeded 0.95. The wet condition required more cutting time than the dry condition. In this condition, the water provides a lubrication effect. A thin layer between the cutting edges and the surface of the work piece is formed. The chip formation is affected by the drilling depth. The color on the tips of the chips was darker than in the initial condition. No correlation between the drilling depth and the bore roughness was noted, but the variation of the cutting speed or the RPM influenced the roughness of the bore. The optimum cutting speed ranged from 40 RPM to 45 RPM in the condition which provided the finest roughness surface.

The elastic waves released by inducing vickers indentation were detected by fracture wave detector. From the result of wavelet analysis of elastic wave signal, the smooth specimen and heat-treated crack healing specimen of 0.3 ㎛ Al₂O₃ monolithic and Al₂O₃/SiC composite ceramics had characteristics of frequency about 58 ㎑. The dominant frequencies increased with increasing the amount of Y₂O₃. It is known that wave frequency of homogeneous materials is converged on around dominant frequency. The dominant frequency has direct connection with the bending strength.

Sialon was produced by hot-pressing the mixtures of Si<sub>3</sub>N<sub>4</sub>, AIN and Y<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> powders. Fracture toughness and Vickers hardness of smooth specimen were average 7.05 MPa·m<sup>0.5</sup> and Hν = 1580, respectively. Density of three kinds of specimens, smooth specimen, smooth and healed specimen, smooth with SiO<sub>2</sub> colloidal coating and healed specimen, had beyond 99 % of theoretical density. Bending strength of smooth healed specimens had high strength more than 1 GPa. Crack healed specimens recovered as strength as smooth specimen, That is, cracked specimen with SiO<sub>2</sub> colloidal coating on cracked part recovered strength by heat treatment' completely. Crack healing of Si3N4 composite ceramics had contributed SiO<sub>2</sub> glassy phase and Y<sub>2</sub>Al<sub>2</sub>O- crystal phase to strength recovery.

Resistance welding uses the application of electric current and mechanical pressure to create a weld between two pieces of metal. Weld electrodes conduct the electric current to the two pieces of metal as they are forged together. On this research we are searching for possibility of change trailing arm produced by common welding method to newly manufactured trailing arm applied resistance welding method. for that, durability test and fracture -bending test of the sample product applied resistance welding was conducted and also analyzed as comparison with the other sample used arc welding method. finally on the purpose of the research is to get basic data of this resistance welding applications and verify possibility if we can apply this method to current automobile.

We report a case of acute renal failure with severe loin pain and patchy renal vasoconstriction after exercise. An immediate postcontrast computed tomogram of this case shows multiple patchy areas of poor contrast enhancement in the cortex of the both kidneys. A 24-hours delayed scan without further injection of contrast dye shows multiple wedge- shaped contrast enhancement in the coincident areas of poor enhancement in the immediate scan. The 2 and 5 days delayed scans show that wedge-shaped contrast enhancement becomes disappeared gradually to the renal cortex, and the 8 days delayed scan shows complete disappearance of contrast enhancement. The renal scintigrams with technetium-99m- methylene diphosphonate and dimercaptosuccinic acid show diffuse increased uptakes and multiple patchy photon deficient areas in the both kidneys respectively. The follow-up renal scintigrams show nearly normal findings, This patient had an uneventful hospital course and recovered completely without dialysis.
