        한우암소의 목부위에 2개의 여분의 전지가 부착된 과다사지

        An abnormal Korean native cow of six years old with extra legs was observed macroscopically and radiographically. The results were summarized as follows; 1. External features included two normal forelimbs and hindlimbs, and two extra forelimbs which were underdeveloped. The extra forelimbs of different length attached laterally to the cranial regions of neck on right scapula. 2. The large extra forelimb had scapular meromelia. It consisted of underdeveloped humerus, antebrachial skeleton, several carpal bones, metacapal bone(MC3+4) and two digitis with each pairs of hoof and a rudimentary hoof of dewclaw. 3. The small extra forelimb had scapular and antebrachial meromelia. It consisted of underdeveloped metacarpal and carpal bone, severely deformed humerus, fused carpal bones, and two digitis with two hooves, and a rudimentary hoof of dewclaw. 4. The dermoid cyst was observed between the large and small extra forelimbs.

        한우(韓牛) 송아지의 이안체(二顔體)

        A female Korean native calf with diprosopus was examined macroscopically and radiographically. Anterior head duplication (diprosopus) was observed and all structures caudal to it were normal. She had two complete mouths, four eyes and three ears. Single tongue was present in each oral cavity. The two tongues were joined at their base just posterior to the single epiglottis. Both oral cavities led jointly into a common pharynx and one esophagus. One laryngeal cavity communicated with one common trachea. The lower jaws were immobile because of overlapping mandibular rami. The atlas was complete, and two anterior articular cavities articulated with the lateral condyles of the occipital bones of each skull. The cerebrums were fused each other at their caudal portion, and the giri and sulci were underdeveloped. The cerebellums were also completely fused, and they had not characteristic appearance of the vermis. The spinal cord showed normal appearance.

        A female Holstein calf with five legs and two tails was examined macroscopically and radiographically. The external feature included two normal forelimbs, two normal hindlimbs, a normal tail and each of underdeveloped extra hindlimb and tail, which was attached to the pelvic region. The extra hindlimb consisted of an underdeveloped femur, crural meromelia, duplicated calcaneous, partially duplicated metatarsal bone, three rows of digits with hoofs. This extra hindlimb was connected to an extra os coxa. The cervical and thoracic vertebrae were fused partially. The lumbar, sacral and coccygeal vertebrae were duplicated. This calf is a dipygus associated with pygopagus parasiticus.

        TERPROM 기반의 저고도 지형추적시스템 개발

        A flight capability to take a terrain following flight near the ground is required to reduce the probability that a fighter aircraft can be detected by foe's radar fence in the battlefield. The success rate for mission flight has increased by adopting TFS (Terrain Following System) to enable the modern advanced fighter to fly safely near the ground at the low altitude. This system has applied to the state-of-the-art fighter and bomber, such as B-1, F-111, F-16 E/F and F-15, since the research begins from 1960's. In this paper, the terrain following system and GCAS (Ground Collision Avoidance System) was developed, based on a digital database with UTAS's TERPRROM (TERrain PROfile Matching) equipment. This system calculates the relative location of the aircraft in the terrain database by using the aircraft status information provided by the radar altimeter and the INS (Inertial Navigation System), based on the digital terrain database loaded previously in the DTC (Data Transfer Cartridge), and figures out terrain features around. And, the system is a manual terrain following system which makes a steering command cue refer to flight path marker, on the HUD (Head Up Display), for vertical acceleration essential for terrain following flight and enables a pilot to follow it. The cue is based on the recognized terrain features and TCH (Target Clearance Height) set by a pilot in advance. The developed terrain following system was verified in the real-time pilot evaluation in FA-50 HQS (Handling Quality Simulator) environment.

        한국재래산양(韓國在來山羊)의 태아(胎兒) 및 신생자(新生仔)의 체적측정치(體尺測定値)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        The measurement was investigated with 18 heads of fetus(60, 90, 120 days of gestation) and neonate in Korean native goats. The results were summerized as follows: 1. The crown-rump length of fetuses at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 8.71, 20.83, 31.10 and 34.93 cm, respectively. 2. The length of small intestine at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 32.28, 157.10, 303.52 and 457.06 cm, respectively. 3. The length of large intestine at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 9.20, 37.70, 82.06 and 94.46 cm, respectively. 4. The ratio of intestinal length to crown-rump length at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 4.76, 9.45, 12.40 and 15.79 times, respectively. 5. At 60 days of gestation, the total length of the vertebral column was $7.40{\pm}0.72cm$, The mean length of each segment of the vertebral column was $1.55{\pm}0.20cm$ in cervical, $2.29{\pm}0.21cm$ in thoracic, $1.46{\pm}0.10cm$ in lumbar, $0.51{\pm}0.04cm$ in sacral and $1.59{\pm}0.17cm$ in coccygeal vertebrae. 6. At 90 days of gestation, the total length of the vertebral column was $16.52{\pm}0.80cm$. The mean length of each segment of the vertebral column was $3.72{\pm}0.12cm$ in cervical, $5.09{\pm}0.26cm$ in thoracic, $3.22{\pm}0.04cm$ in lumbar, $1.97{\pm}0.03cm$ in sacral and $2.64{\pm}0.35cm$ in coccygeal vertebrae. 7. At 120 days of gestation, the total length of the vertebral column was $26.35{\pm}0.34cm$. The mean length of each segment of the vertebral column was $6.09{\pm}0.16cm$ in cervical, $7.81{\pm}0.07cm$ in thoracic, $5.08{\pm}0.07cm$ in lumbar, $3.07{\pm}0.02cm$ in and $4.31{\pm}0.02cm$ in coccygeal vertebrae. 8. In the neonate, the total length of the vertebral column was $32.41{\pm}1.57cm$. The mean length of each segment of vertebral was $7.70{\pm}0.25cm$ in cervical, $9.97{\pm}0.68cm$ in thoracic, $5.58{\pm}0.44cm$ in lumbar, $3.85{\pm}0.15cm$ in sacral and $5.05{\pm}0.06cm$ coccygeal vertebrae. 9. The chest girth at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was $6.13{\pm}0.51$, $13.45{\pm}0.84$, $20.28{\pm}1.53$ and $22.94{\pm}1.75cm$, respectively. 10. The head length at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was $2.93{\pm}0.07$, $6.67{\pm}0.13$, $8.84{\pm}0.51$ and $9.76{\pm}0.44cm$, respectively. 11. The width of the head at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was $2.20{\pm}0.13$, $4.45{\pm}0.11$, $5.33{\pm}0.20$ and $5.51{\pm}0.32cm$, respectively.

        한우(韓牛) 간정맥(肝靜脈)의 분지(分枝)에 관한 해부학적(解剖學的) 연구(硏究)

        The distribution of hepatic veins within the liver in 28 Korean native cattles were observed. Vinylite solution was injected into hepatic veins of seventeen specimens for cast preparation. The angiography was prepared in eleven specimens by injecting 30% barium sulfate solution into hepatic veins, and then radiographed on a X-ray apparatus (Shimadzu 800 MA 120 Kvp). 1. About two thirds or three quarters of the circumference of the Vena cava caudalis was embedded in the liver. The embedded portion was about 14~19cm in length. 2. The principal branches of the hepatic veins were Vena hepatica sinistra, Vena hepatica media, Vena hepatica dextra and Vena hepatica dorsolateralis; the three main hepatic veins were Vena hepatica sinistra, Vena hepatica media and Vena hepatica dextra. 3. The Vena hepatica sinistra joins the Vena cava caudal is near the esophageal impression of the liver. It gave off three or five branches to the left lobe. 4. The Vena hepatica media joined at the Vena cava caudalis close to the Vena hepatica sinistra. In all cases, Vena hepatica media opened near the diaphragmatic part of the liver than the Vena hepatica sinistra. It ran obliquely through the medial part of right lobe and quadrate lobe, giving off branches on each side. 5. The Vena hepatica dextra consisted of one(25 cases, 89.29%) or two separate veins(3 cases, 10.71%), joining to the Vena cava caudalis between the right and caudate lobes. 6. The flap of membranous tissue covered the dorsal half of the entrance of the Vena hepatica sinistra, media et dextra into the Vena cava caudalis. 7. The vestige of the ductus venosus persisted in the 12~18 months old cattles. 8. The anastomosis was observed in the intralobar and interlobar areas.

        한우신동맥(韓牛腎動脈) 분포(分布)에 관하여

        The distribution of renal artery of fifty Korean native cattles (100 kidneys) was observed. Vinylite solution was injected into renal artery of ninety specimens for cast preparation. The angiography was prepared in 10 specimens by injecting thirty percent of barium sulfate solution into renal arteries, and then radiographed on a soft X-ray apparatus (Shimadzu Waltes 60). 1. A. renalis arose from the each side of abdominal aorta in the Korean native cattles. 2. The renal arteries were bifurcated into Ramus cranialis and caudalis (91%), and Ramus cranialis, medius and caudalis(9%) which were ramified 1-4 segmental arteries, respectively. 3. The segmental arteries were originated from R. cranialis and R. caudalis (87%), R. medius (9%) and A. renalis (4%). 4. The kidney were divided separately into 5-7 arterial segments by running of the segmental artery into the parenchyma. Among them six segments were mostly frequent(53%). 5. The Arcus arteriosus renalis was observed at 44% of the left kidney and 14% of the right kidney.

        한빈우(韓牝牛)의 생체중(生體重)과 장기중량(臟器重量)에 관한 연구(硏究)

        This study was conducted to determine the interrelationship between the weight of various visceral organs and the live weight of Korean native cattle with particular regard to female ones. One hundred and eighty-five of 2 to 6 years and one hundred and fifty-six Korean native cow of over 7 years of age were examined at the Busan slaughter house during the lest quarter of 1979. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The average live weight of 72 years old cows examined was 297.09kg, while these weight of visceral organs such as liver, lung, heart, left kidney, right kidney and spleen being 4301.09, 2165.22, 1355.43, 346.74, 350 and 991.30g, respectively. The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 49.0, 12.92 and 2.95cm, respectively. 2. The average live weight of 3 years old cows examined was 306.56kg, while these weight of visceral organs such as liver, lung, heart, left kidney, right kidney and spleen being 4099.07, 2144.44, 1383.33, 326.85, 325.93 and 964.82g, respectively. The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 43.3, 12.37 and 2.80cm, respectively. 3. The average live weight of 4 years old cows examined was 314.67kg, while these weight of visceral organs such as liver, lung, heart, left kidney, right kidney and spleen being 4186.67, 2292.50, 1392.50, 346.67, 343.33 and 932.50g, respectively. The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 47.01, 12.55 and 3.08cm, respectively. 4. The average live weight of 5 years old cows examined was 328.90kg, while these weight of visceral organs such as liver, lung, hearts left kidney, right kidney and spleen being 4465.32, 2394.35, 1493.55, 370.16, 335.97 and 997.58g, respectively, The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 49.17, 12.76 and 3.16cm, respectively. 5. The average live weight of 6 years old cows examined was 334.97kg, while these weight of visceral organs such as liver, lung, heart, left kidney, right kidney and spleen being 4585.29, 2552.79, 1555.89, 364.70, 373.24 and 985.29g, respectively. The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 48.27, 12.66 and 2.78cm, respectively. 6. The average live weight of 156 cows (over 7 years of age) examined was 344.91kg, while these weight of visceral organs such as liver, lung, heart, left kidney, right kidney and spleen being 4730.77, 2651.44, 1554.39, 407.37, 409.42 and 1101.06g, respectively. The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 51.04, 13.21 and 3.08cm, respectively. 7. Total average live weight of 341 cows (from 2 to 6 and over 7 years of age) examined was 332.44kg, while these weight of visceral organs being 4550.95, 2497.13, 1500.76, 380.18, 382.27 and 1047.98g, respectively. The length, width and thickness of the spleen were 52.01, 12.96 and 3.02cm, respectively. 8. The correlation coefficients between the live weight of 341 cows and their visceral organs were found to be highly significant (P<0.01), except fort for the length of spleen

        한국재래산양(韓國在來山羊)의 간정맥(肝靜脈)에 관하여

        By employing the vinylite corrosion technique, the distribution of the hepatic vein within the liver in 50 Korean native goats was observed. 1. In 50 vinylite casts, the principal branches of hepatic vein are Vena hepatica sinistra, Vena hepatica sinistra et medialis, Vena heapati dextralateralis et medialis, Vena hepatica caudatorum, Vena hepatica dorsolateralits: three chief branches are Vena hepatica sinistra, Vena hepatica dextra, Vena hepatica caudatorum. 2. In the liver of Korean goat are recognized three lobes, i.e. Lobus sinister, Lobus dexter and Lobus caudate.

        Vinyl 부식법(腐蝕法)에 의(依)한 한우비주정맥(韓牛脾柱靜脈)의 구역적(區域的) 주행(走行)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        The studies were conducted to ramify the splenic trabecular veins by injection of vinylite into the splenic veins in twenty five adult Korean cattle. The following results were obtained. 1. Splenic trabecular veins of bovine were collected from 3 chief Rami lienales: Rr. superior, inferior and V. polaris superior of the splenic veins, and the splenic parenchyma was ramified to 5-11 intralienal venous segments by the course of the trabecular veins. 2. Each one of the intralienal venous segments was dealt with 2-4 minute segments therefore, the splenic parenchyma was ramified from 13 minute segments in minimum to 35 minute segments in maximum. 3. The distribution of the veins in the spleen was divided into 7 types by the number of intralienal venous segment, and also was 15 kinds by collecting veins, Rr. superior et inferior and V. polaris superior. 4. The anastomosis was observed in the intralienal venous segments or minute segments. 5. Generally the splenic veins and arteries were like each other, but when observed minutely, they were unlike.
