Drawing on a growing body of research which supports the validity of incorporating fictional representation of translation into its theorization, this study aims to discuss the topic of cultural interpretation and court interpretation as represented in Suki Kim’s The interpreter. The two research topics discussed in this study are: (1) How Korean immigrant family interpret the cultural Other, as this family is depicted as people who have lost their language; (2) How strict adherence to work ethics required for court interpreters is implemented by Suzy, court interpreter. Suzy is metaphorically represented as a filter, shadow, mathematician, all of which point to the work ethics of accuracy, fidelity, neutrality, and confidentiality. Nevertheless, in settings marked by conflict and asymmetry, these values present an ethical dilemma for Suzy. This study suggests a further research into the topics of interpreter identity crisis and role conflicts in institutional settings.

The proper evaluation of reference services requires qualitative approach as well as quantitative one. The quality of a reference service can be evaluated by how promptly and accurately a librarian responds to the user's questions and also by how much the user is satisfied with the librarian's overall performance in providing the answer. In this study, the reference service of an university library was evaluated by the following procedure : 1. Identification of a group of the most frequently referred Korean government publications through two pre-tests of user surveys. 2. Preparation of 130 questions of bibliographic and factual type from the above publications. 3. Selection of 30 questions which can be answered from the collection of the evaluated library. 4. Mimic requests of reference service by 5 proxies trained on the unobtrusive test method with 30 questions asked at various times of the day and on various days of the week during a period of 5 months. 5. Drawing up of response sheets (by proxies) with descriptive comments on library staffs' question administration, response, attitude, etc. 6. Preparation and coding of data tabulation sheets and final analysis. The conclusions of this study are as follows : 1. The user serveys showed that needs for the library service for government publications were great. The $80\%$ of the government publications users were visiting more than two organizations for access to information and the $37\%$ were getting information directly from the publishers. 2. The librarians of the evaluated library could give correct answers to $53\%$ of 30 (bibliographic and factual) guestions. 3. The correctness of answer was independent of the length of the time spent the librarians. The librarians' grasp of the questions and direction of approach determined the success or failure of the service. 4. The librarians relied too much on the reference library catalog which doesn't include many of the government publications of their own collection. 5. The $79\%$ of the failure of the service were due to the librarians' lack of knowledge as to the information source for government publications and the unsystematic method of approach to it.
에스닉 레스토랑 이용객의 푸드네오포비아 성향이 레스토랑 이미지 및 고객 만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of food neophobia on restaurant image, customer satisfaction, and loyalty in ethnic restaurants. A self-administered survey for data collection 581 customers who visited an ethnic restaurant in August, 2015. Statistical analyses included descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis for SPSS 21.0. The finding of the study indicated that the differences of food neophobia score in demographic characteristics showed significant differences by age, occupation, dining-out frequency, and source of dining-out information, not by gender. The mean value of food neophilic group was significantly higher than food neophobic group in all items of restaurant image, overall satisfaction and customer loyalty. The regression analysis showed that tangible aspect, price aspect, and food aspect of restaurant image had positive effects on overall satisfaction and customer loyalty however employee service showed different result by groups. The finding of the study offer marketing strategies for ethnic restaurants to induce customer revisit.
약침(藥鍼)(상식(傷食)1호)이 비만(肥滿)에 미치는 효과(效果)에 관한 임상적(臨床的) 고찰(考察)

Objectives : The Purpose of this study was to evidence the effect of Herbal Acupuncture therapy(Sangsik no.1) by comparing body fat and obesity degree of Group B(group of Herbal acupuncture therapy and general obesity treatment) with Group A(group of non-Herbal acupuncture therapy and general obesity treatment) in twenty four patients who have received OPD treatment at Sang Ji oriental medical hospital and chiefly diagnosed obesity from June 2000 to September 2001. Methods : We checked the change of Obesity degree with Inbody 3.0. Results and Conclusions : Two groups were no significance, but remarkably showed a significant decrease in Percent Body Fat. According to the above results, it is considered that Herbal Acupuncture therapy(Sangsik no.1) showed a significant decrease in Percent Body Fat, but Others were no significance.
