        골다공증성 척추체 압박골절에 대한 경피적 척추성형술시 자기공명영상과 골 주사 검사의 의의

        Objective : Percutaneous vertebroplasty is often complicated by the presence of multiple fractures or non-localizing pain in the patients with osteoporotic vertebral fractures. The purpose of this study is to estimate the value of preoperative radiologic studies in the localization of symptomatic vertebrae and to determine the factors which can influence on the clinical results. Materials and Methods : We retrospectively reviewed the clinical and radiologic data of 57 vertebrae in 30 patients underwent percutaneous vertebroplasty for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. Inclusion criteria was severe pain(McGill-Melzack score 3, 4 or 5) associated with the acute vertebral fractures and absence of spinal nerve root or cord compression sign. Acute symptomatic vertebral fracture was determined by the presence of signal change on MR images or increased uptake on whole body bone scan. Results : Pain improvement was obtained immediately in all patients and favorable result was sustained in 26 patients(86.7%) during the mean follow-up duration of 4.7 months(5 complete pain relief, 21 marked pain relief). Those who underwent vertebroplasty for all acute symptomatic vertebrae had significantly better clinical result than those who did not. Further vertebral collapse and eventual bursting fracture occurred in 1 vertebra which showed intradiskal leakage of bone cement and disruption of cortical endplate on postoperative CT scan. Conclusion : Preoperative MR imaging and whole body bone scan are very useful in determining the symptomatic vertebrae, especially in the patients with multiple osteoporotic vertebral fractures. To obtain favorable clinical result, the careful radiologic evaluation as well as clinical assessment is required. Control of PMMA volume seems to be the most critical point for avoiding complications.

        백서에서 삼차신경 유발전위의 특성과 경로 분석

        Objective : There are some advantages of trigeminal evoked potential(TEP) recording compared to other somatosensory evoked potential(SSEP) recordings. The trigeminal sensory pathway has a pure sensory nerve branch, a broader receptive field in cerebral cortex, and a shorter pathway. Despite these advantages, there is little agreement as to what constitutes a normal response and what wave forms truly characterize the intraoperative TEP. This study presents the normative data of TEP recorded on the epidural surface of the rat with a platinum ball electrode. Materials & Methods : Under general anesthesia with urethane, the adult Sprague-Dawley male rats(300-350g) were given electrical stimulation with two stainless steel electrodes which were inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the area around whiskers. A reference electrode was positioned in the temporalis muscle ipsilateral to the recording site. Results : TEPs were recorded in the Par I area of somatosensory cortex and recorded most apparently on the point of 2mm posterior from the bregma and 6mm lateral from the midline. The typical wave form consisted of 5 peaks (N1-P1-N2-P2-N3 according to emerging order, upward negativity). Each latency to corresponding peaks was not influenced by the different intensities of stimulation, especially from 1 to 5mA. Average latencies of 5 peaks were in the following order ; 7.7, 11.1, 15, 22.3, 29.4ms. There was also no significant difference between latencies before and after administration of muscle relaxant(pancuronium). For the electrophysiological localization of recorded waves, the action potential of a single unit was recorded with glass microelectrode(filled with 2M NaCl, $3-5M{\Omega}$) in the thalamus of rat. A sharp wave was recorded in the VPM nucleus, in which the latency was shorter than that of N1. This suggests that all 5 peaks were generated by neural activities in the suprathalamic pathway. Conclusion : In terms of recording near-field potentials, our data also suggests that TEP in the rat may be superior to other SSEPs. In overall, these results may afford normative data for the studies of supratentorial lesions such as hydrocephalus or cerebral ischemia which can have an influence on near-field potentials.

        산지생태축산의 다원적 기능에 대한 가치 평가

        본 연구는 산지생태축산이 가진 다원적 기능을 제시하고 그에 따른 가치를 평가하였다. 산지생태축산의 다원적 기능은 크게 직접이용가치, 간접이용가치, 유산가치의 세 가지로 분류할 수 있으며, 직접이용가치의 경우 조사료 및 축산물 생산과 같은 채집 기능과 레크리에이션 및 관광과 같은 비채집 기능이 존재한다. 간접이용가치의 경우 수자원 관리, 토양 침식 조절, 대기 조절, 경관, 축산분뇨처리, 산불확산억제 기능이 존재하며, 유산가치의 경우 종다양성 기능이 존재한다. 분석결과 산지생태축산 운영지 1ha의 연간가치는 직접이용가치 21,090,874원, 간접이용가치는 경관이 초지일 때 15,562,203원, 경관이 임간초지 일 때 16,018,224원으로 추정되었고, 유산가치의 경우 종다양성 가치로 멸종위기종의 개체수에 따라 최소 767,273원에서 최대 1,578,845원으로 추정되어, 다원적 가치의 총합은 최소 37,420,350원에서 최대 38,687,942원으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 국내 산지생태축산 정책수립에 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This study examined the multi-functionality of an eco-pastoral system in alpine grassland and measured its economic value. The multi-functionality can be divided into three categories: direct-use value, indirect-use value, and heritage value. Direct-use value includes both extractive (forage and livestock production) and non-extractive (recreation and tourism) functions. Indirect-use value includes the functions of water conservation, soil erosion control, atmospheric control, landscape, livestock-manure management, and forest firebreaks. The heritage value includes the function of species diversity. The results showed that the annual value for 1 hectare of the eco-pastoral system in alpine grassland's direct use was estimated to be 21,090,874 Korean won; the indirect-use value was 15,562,203 won when the landscape in grassland system, and 16,018,224 won when the landscape comprised in silvopastoral system. The value of the species diversity in heritage terms ranged from 767,273 to 1,578,845 won, depending on whether it included any endangered species. The total value of multi-functionality of the eco-pastoral system in alpine grassland was estimated to be a minimum of 37,420,350 won/ha and a maximum of 38,687,942 won/ha. The results of this study can provide useful insights for the eco-pastoral system in alpine grassland policies in Republic of Korea.

        선택실험법을 이용한 산지생태축산 체험관광의 속성별 지불의사금액 측정

        The objective of this study is to measure the marginal willingness to pay (MWTP) for attributes of pasture experience tourism in alpine grassland using a choice experiment. Attributes include experience tourism courses, accommodation, restaurant, and prices. Their levels include A(pasture walk), B(pasture walk, hay feeding), C(pasture walk, hay feeding, tractor riding), or D(pasture walk, hay feeding, tractor riding, dairy processing) for experience tourism, no lodge, self-camping, glamping, or resort for accommodation, snack bar(unable to cook), food truck, general restaurant, or fancy restaurant for restaurant, and seven levels of prices from KRW 10,000 to 190,000. Online survey was administered to residents in 16 metropolitan cities and provinces. The results show that MWTPs of hay feeding, tractor riding, and dairy processing for experience tourism are KRW 15,854, 11,381, and 19,771 respectively. The results also indicate that MWTPs of self-camping, glamping, and resort for accommodation are KRW 33,498, 70,209, and 91,758 respectively. MWTPs for food truck, general restaurant, fancy restaurant for restaurant are KRW 23,674, 25,191, and 31,502 respectively. The results of this study may contribute to the government’s policy for the eco-pastoral system in alpine grassland and subsequent studies, also improving farmers’ income.

        의성 전통 수리 농업시스템 보전 활동에 대한 농가 참여 및 수용수준의 결정요인

        The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of local farmers’ participation and acceptance level in traditional agricultural technology conservation activities, using on the traditional agricultural water utilization system in Uiseong designated as Korea’s important agricultural heritage system No. 10. The Heckman sample selection model was used to solve the selection bias. The results show that as the interest in the conservation of the agricultural ecological and environment is high, as the traditional agricultural system in Uiseong is used, as the cultivation area of paddy field increased, and as the age 50s or older, the willingness to participate in conservation activities increased. The results also indicate that as the experience of participating in the conservation of the agricultural ecological and environment and the hours of education are increased, the knowledge of the traditional agricultural system in Uiseong is low, and as the cultivation area of paddy field decreased, the acceptance time for conservation activities increased. The results of this study may contribute to government’s policy for traditional agricultural technology conservation.

        한우 거세우 예상유전전달능력(EPD) 형질의 보완성 검정

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the complementarities among expected progeny difference(EPD) traits of Hanwoo steers. Data on 38,819 Hanwoo steers slaughtered from 2015 to 2016 were used. Four EPD traits are carcass weight(  ), eye-muscle area(  ), back-fat thickness(  ), and marbling score(  ). The results show that   and   always act as complements, except when   and   are used at the same time. when   is used,   and   are complementary. Additionally,   and   are complementary when   is used.   and   are complementary when   or   is used.   and   are complementary when   is used. However,   and   are subadditivity, when   and   are not used. The results also indicate that the revenues were higher in spring and lower in autumn and winter than in the summer. Furthermore, the carcass weight and rearing period were increased, the revenues were increasing. The results of this study may contribute to the government’s policy for Hanwoo breeding and provide useful information on Hanwoo rearing management.

        농촌체험관광 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 울릉도를 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this study is to analyze factors that affect the selection of rural experience tourism in a situation where there are alternative choices for experiential tourism. The reality of the study was enhanced by setting the contents considering that the general travel pattern is not a single purpose or destination. Therefore, when selecting rural experience tourism, a situation was set up in which ecotourism and marine tourism could be selected at the same time. In this case, a correlation problem occurs between dependent variables, which can be solved by using a multivariate probit model. The result show that the correlation between error terms means that the model used in this study is suitable. The results also indicate that the factors increase the probability of consumers choosing rural experience tourism are as follows: travel period of more than 3 days, higher awareness of the necessity to vitalize rural experiential tourism, consumers perceiving that nature can be appropriately utilized, and women with low income and children under 10 years old. The results of this study can contribute to the establishment of government policies and marketing strategies for promoting rural experience tourism.

        구제역이 한우 거세우의 적정 사육 기간에 미치는 영향

        The livestock farmers are producing under uncertainties such as Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The purpose of this study is to strengthen the management capabilities of Hanwoo farmers to prepare them for the uncertainties just mentioned. To this end, this study was conducted to find the optimal rearing period in order to reduce the feed cost, which accounts for the largest portion of the operation cost of Hanwoo. Using the universal lattice model, 41,139 of 289,000 Hanwoo slaughter data from 2010 to 2019 were used for the FMD period and 246,605 heads for the general period. The results show that the maximum cutoff price of Hanwoo steer is 6,394,457 won at the 4th week of 27 months of age in general period, where as 6,242,752 won at the 2nd week of 26 months of age in the FMD period. Therefore, it is judged that it will be helpful for Hanwoo farms to maximize their business profits by slaughtering one month and two weeks earlier in the FMD period than in the general period. In addition, Hanwoo farmers need to break away from the conventional rearing method and improve their management efficiency through a more flexible rearing method.

        조사료 선택이 한우 거세우 육질등급에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to estimate the effect of roughage choice on quality grade of Hanwoo meat. The ordered logit model was estimated using 428 Hanwoo steers data. Based on estimated coefficients from the model, the results show that marbling EPD, frequency of annual training attendance, number of whole breeding, feeding period, and roughage choice (alfalfa, italian ryegrass, sudan grass, tall fescue) are important factors in influencing quality grade of Hanwoo meat. Of roughages, alfalfa, italian ryegrass, and tall fescue have positive effects on quality grade, respectively. However, sudan grass has negative effect. The results also indicate that alfalfa, italian ryegrass, and tall fescue increase net revenue respectively, and tall fescue has the highest net revenue increase. The results of this paper may contribute to government’s policies for roughage production, and also improving farmers’ income.
