This paper compared current limiting characteristics of superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) using E-I core due to the location of windings. Since E-I core has three legs and two magnetic paths, the current limiting characteristics of SFCL were expected to be affected by the installation location of windings, either center leg or right/left leg. To analyze its characteristics, the electrical equivalent circuit of the SFCL were derived and the electromagnetic analysis for the SFCL with the designed structure were performed. From the short-circuit tests, the hysteresis curve and the voltage-current trajectory of the SFCL due to the installation location of windings were extracted and compared each other. The SFCL with windings in the center leg of E-I core was shown to be larger magnetizing inductance compared to the one with windings in the right or left leg of E-I, which was analyzed from the hysteresis curve. In addition, larger decreased fault current right after the fault occurrence in the SFCL with windings in the center leg of E-I core was confirmed than the SFCL with windings in the right or left leg of E-I.

Virginia Woolf가 에세이를 통해서 남성과 여성의, 작품의 다름을 주장하고 사회문화사적으로 작품을 투시하면서 지금까지의 비평방법에 도전하여 유명한 비평가인 그의 아버지를 이기고 새로운 비평밥법을 도출한 feminism 이론은 모든 feminism 이론의 시작과 끝을 함께 가지고 있다. 최근 여러가지 feminist criticism 이론들은 남성작가들이 쓴 책의 성차별주의에 대한 초기의 공격, 여성작품의 특별성에 대한 후기의 집증, 그리고 널리퍼진 이론에의 욕구로 특징지어 지지만, 이 모든 주장들이 Woolf의 작품속에 내재해 있음을 볼 수 있다. 그런데 놀랍게도 선진국이 아닌, 오히려 일본의 압제하에 있었던 우리나라에도 같은시기에 Virginia Woolf와 비슷한 생각을 한, 아니 오히려 더욱 적극적이고 보다 앞선 생각을 한 여류 문인이 있었다. 1920년대 우리나라 여류문인 가운데 가장 논리적이고 명쾌한 문장으로써 여권신장과 여권의식의 개혁과 사회제도의 합리화를 주장한 나해석은 Woolf에 못지 않은 여류선각자였다. 가부장제도가 완전히 한국을 지배하던 시절에 정조는 도덕도 법률도 아무것도 아니요, 오직 취미다라고 대답한 글을 쓴 나해석을 세계적 여류작가 Virginia Woolf와 비교 연구한다. 나해석(1895-1945)은 한국여성으로서 최초로 신문을 통해 공공연히 여권을 주장했으며 그 시대와 도덕을 무시하고 자기 나름대로 서구의 문화를 받아드려 한국여성들을 개몽하려고 애썼다. 한국의 나해석은 V. Woolf보다 더욱 용감하고 과격하여 솔직하고 직선적인 펄치로 도덕과 인습에 도전하였고, 한국 최초의 여류 서양화가였지만 그림그리기 보다는 여성의 올바른 대우와 문화참여를 부르짖었다. 그러나 100년이나 앞서버린 그이 사상은 가부장적 문화가 철저히 사회를 지배하던 그시대에 돌팔매와 침뱉음만당했다. 나해석은 사회제도와 관습의 모순을 지적하고 여성의 권리를 주장하면서 남성중심사회를 신랄하게 비판하는 시론을 발표하였고 전통적인 여성상을 뛰어넘어 적극적이고 진취적인 새로운 여성상을 구축하는 여성해방과 여성의 인간회복을 절규하는 시와 산문소설을 남겼으나 유교가 지배하던 시대의 도덕율에 희생되고 만다. 두 작가는 같은 시대에 살았으나 동서양의 문화의 다름 때문에 다른 삶과 다른 업적을 남기게 된다.

한국문학은 서양 문물의 영향을 받기 전과 후 두 시대의 문학으로 구분할 수 있다. 전자의 전통적 한국문학은 불교, 유교 샤머니즘의 영향을 많이 받았으며 후자의 근대문학 이후부터는 서양의 문학 사조와 많은 문학 이론들로부터 영향을 받게 되었다. 근대문학은 전통을 깨고 저항을 받으며 새로운 국가와 예술 창조를 이룩하고 있다. 이광수를 필두로 염상섭, 현진건, 황순원 등 많은 문학가가 배출된다. 특히 라혜석은 한국문학사상 처음으로 여성의 권리와 남녀 불평등의 부조리를 신문에 기고했으나 그녀의 스캔들 때문에 사회에서 매장된다. 한국에도 김기림이 서구의 모더니즘을 소개한 이후로 많은 이론들이 쏟아져 들어와서 다양한 문학 작품들이 창출되고 있다. 그러나 세계화를 맞이한 21세기에는 한국 문학도 세계화 되어야하며 그러기 위해서는 가장 한국적인 것을 보편적 제재에서 소화시킬 때 세계가 받아드릴 수 있는 문학작품이 나올 수 있으리라고 필자는 전망한다.

This essay tries to adapt literary theories and methods to film in the English novel & film class. The main focus of this essay is to stress post colonialism and the different expressions of films and novels from the same text. The Film industry invests a lot of capital in producing films in order to make more money. Therefore films are originally made to draw a large audience, often stressing sex and violence, while novels pursue aesthetics and ideology. In the latter part of twentieth century, the primary audience for movies grew younger and younger, and this teen aging of moviegoer leads to more youthful, energetic, restless and often discontented films. As an extension of the cine-club tradition in France, film culture becomes a central part of colleges and universities, from unofficial film societies to regular film courses in the classrooms. The social and geographic movement of urban populations to the suburbs encouraged different types of movie going habits and different types of movies that must complete with television. Contemporary literature becomes an invigorating source for film culture. Film offered literature another way of perceiving the world, a visual rhetoric that captured the crisis and desires of a new society. So, teaching film and literature together in the class is more effective and helpful in understanding literary theories and novel.

Beetroot 섭취가 경계성 고혈압자의 GroupIV 대사적 수용기에 미치는 영향

It is reported that beetroot juice supplementation reduces blood pressure in healthy subjects at rest. However, It is not known that beetroot juice supplementation alters the pressor response mediated during exercise and by the muscle metaboreflex activation in prehypertension. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary nitrate derived from beetroot (BR) on muscle metaboreflex and endothelial function in prehypertension compared with placebo (PR). Eleven prehypertensives (24±2 yrs) were recruited in this study. All subjects were assigned in a randomized, double-blind, crossover design to receive BR (70 mL/ day, ~5.6 mmol of NO3 -and PL (70 mL/day, no NO3 -) for 15 days. The subjects completed 2 min static handgrip exercise at 50% maximal voluntary contraction followed immediately by post exercise muscle ischemia(PEMI). On day 15, the same protocol was repeated after BR or PL supplementation. All subjects were continuously instrumented to measure heart rate, stroke volume, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and obtain cardiac output(CO), mean arterial pressure(MAP), total peripheral resistance (TPR) at rest and during static exercise and PEMI. Compared with PL, BR significantly increased resting plasma nitrate/nitrite (NOx) concentration (PL: 147.8±10.3 vs. BR: 193.7±19.2, p <.05) and decreased SBP (133±1 vs 128±2 mmHg, p <.05). Normalized flow mediated dilation (FMD) was significantly increased (BR: 2.24±0.3 vs PL: 1.86±0.2, p <.05). There were no differences in CO, MAP, and TPR between BR and PL at rest and during static exercise and muscle metaboreflex activation. Thus, this study indicates that beetroot juice supplementation improves the endothelium function and reduce blood pressure at rest, while no effects on muscle metaboreflex. Therefore, this study suggests that BR diet are regarded as healthy and associated with low incidence of cardiovascular disease in prehypertention.

This Essay is a comparative study of French feminism and Ecofeminism with Yimyunzydang`s thought from the Yi dynasty in Korea. First, I will survey feminist theories from postmodern feminism (or French feminism) to Ecofeminism and compare them with Yimyunzydang`s philosophy. In France, during the 1960s and 1970s, some French feminists, such as H??l??ne Cixous, Julia Kristeva and Luce Irigaray, developed a system of analysis which was radically different to that which had been practiced in the UK and USA. For Kristeva, the suppressed feminine emerges in both men`s and women`s writings of the modernist avant-garde, which by concentrating on language shows subjectivity in the process of construction. For Irigaray and Cixous, writing `woman` is a more utopian quest which has not yet been written. These women use the sophisticated verbal and philosophical deconstructions of Lacan and Derrida in order to destabilise the notion of gender positions within texts. In the 1990s Ecofeminism or genoecology has come out with Deep Ecology. Ecofeminism regards nature as mother/woman which should be taken care of and also maintains that every living thing is equal to one another in their Nature. Men and women have no difference in quality but only difference in their role in society. So human beings should take care of and be reconciled with everything in the world. The Korean woman Yimyunzydang in the Yi dynasty also claimed that men and women have the same quality in original nature and they are a part of the nature. So humans should follow the rule of nature like the other things in the nature and should live according to the order of the nature. She also persists everything in the world should interact peacefully together. The maintaing of Ecofeminism presents similaries to Yimyunzydang`s philosophy written 200 years ago in Korea.
