The effects of extracts from Lentinula edodes (L. edodes) and Aquilariae agallocha (A. agallocha) on the DNA damage response in ultraviolet A (UVA)-exposed HaCaT cells and on the allergic contact dermatitis caused by 2,4-dinitro-chlorobezene (DNCB) were investigated. When UVA-exposed cells were incubated for 24 hours in medium containing L. edodes or A. agallocha extract, the level of 8-OHdG and CPD decreased in a concentration-dependent manner. The combined treatment with both extracts potentiated the decrease in UVA-induced 8-OHdG and CPD levels as compared with those following treatment with a single extract. In addition, the two extracts showed preventive effects against the UVA-induced reduction in collagen levels. Furthermore, the blood levels of IgE, IL-6, and histamine decreased more significantly upon combined treatment with L. edodes and A. agallocha extracts as compared with those following treatment with single extracts in DNCB-induced allergic contact dermatitis in the ICR mouse. The results of the present study suggest that the components with in the extracts of L. edodes and A. agallocha can help to prevent of UVA-induced genomic instability via a decrease in DNA damage, and to decrease the DNCB-induced allergic dermatitis via modulation of relevant proteins including IgE and IL-6. Further study is needed to clarify the purified components related to the preventative effects of the two extracts against UVA- or DNCB-induced genomic damage.
무선 환경에서 MPTCP 성능 개선을 위한 대역폭 측정 기반 혼잡 제어 설계

무선 네트워크에서 TCP는 비트 에러에 인한 패킷 손실을 혼잡상태에 의한 손실로 오인하여 잦은 혼잡제어가 일어나 성능 저하가 발생한다. 이러한 성능 저하는 기존 TCP를 확장한 프로토콜인 MPTCP (Multipath TCP) 에서도 발생하며, MPTCP의 경우 다중 경로의 전체 성능이 저하되는 문제점도 발생한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무선 환경에서 MPTCP 성능 저하를 해결하기 위해 MPTCP 각 경로상의 대역폭을 측정하고 패킷 손실이 발생할 때 측정된 대역폭 만큼 혼잡 윈도우 크기를 줄이는 혼잡제어를 제안하였다. 그리고 제안한 혼잡제어를 리눅스커널에 구현 설치하고 무선 환경의 특성을 적용한 테스트베드와 실제 무선 네트워크에서 기존 MPTCP와 비교분석하였다. 실험결과 제안한 혼잡제어가 기존 MPTCP 혼잡제어보다 무선 환경에서 좋은 처리량 성능을 보여주었다. In wireless networks, the packet loss due to the bit error is misinterpreted as loss due to the congestion state, so TCP congestion control occurs frequently and performance degradation occurs. This degradation also occurs in MPTCP(Multipath TCP), which is an extension protocol of original TCP. In MPTCP, the overall performance of the multipath is degraded. In this paper, we propose a congestion control scheme which measures the bandwidth on each path of MPTCP and reduces the congestion window size by the measured bandwidth when packet loss occurs, in order to solve the MPTCP performance degradation in the wireless environment. We also implemented the proposed congestion control in the Linux kernel and compared it with the original MPTCP in the testbed and real wireless networks. Experimental results show that the proposed congestion control has better throughput performance than original MPTCP congestion control in the wireless environment.
열처리 조건이 PLLA SDY 섬유의 열적 특성 및 물성에 미치는 영향

Poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) filament fibers were prepared by one-step melt spinning process with spin drawing and the effects of the annealing at $100^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$ on their thermal and mechanical properties were investigated by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), and universal testing machine (UTM). The glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of the PLLA spin draw yarn (SDY) fibers increased with increasing annealing time while the melting temperature ($T_m$) remained unaffected. The birefringence increased with increasing time at both $100^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$, indicating the enhanced orientation of the polymers in the fiber. The tenacity of the fibers increased to almost double, while the elongation at break decreased to almost half by 5 minutes annealing at both $100^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$. However, annealing time of more than 5 minutes did not affect the tenacity and elongation at break. The boiling water shrinkage (BWS) decreased continuously with increasing time, the increment was larger for the annealing at $120^{\circ}C$ than that at $100^{\circ}C$. A BWS of less than 3% was obtained by annealing at $120^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes.
Bufferbloat 환경에서 MPTCP 성능 개선을 위한 대역폭 측정 기반 스케줄러 설계

Multipath TCP (MPTCP)는 다중 경로를 지원하는 전송계층 프로토콜이다. MPTCP가 가진 다중 경로 중에서 한 경로에 지연시간이 급격히 증가하는 "bufferbloat"가 발생하게 된다면 경로 간의 패킷 도착시간 차이로 수신버퍼에서 HoL blocking이 발생하여 bufferbloat가 발생된 경로뿐만 아닌 다른 경로의 성능도 저하되는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 대역폭 측정 기반의 스케줄러를 제안한다. 대역폭 측정 기반 스케줄러는 각 서브플로우의 대역폭을 측정하여 이를 기반으로 패킷 스케줄링을 하도록 설계하였다. 제안한 스케줄러 검증을 위해 리눅스커널에 제안한 스케줄러를 구현하고 bufferbloat가 발생하는 테스트베드를 구성하여 기존 MPTCP와 비교분석 하였다. 실험결과 제안한 스케줄러가 bufferbloat 환경에서 기존 MPTCP보다 성능이 크게 개선됨을 보였다. Multipath TCP (MPTCP) is a transport layer protocol that supports multipath transmission. If a bufferbloat occurs in one of the subflows of MPTCP, HoL blocking occurs at the receiver due to the difference in packet arrival time among paths. In MPTCP, HoL blocking degrades not only the performance of the path where bufferbloat occurs, but also the performance of other paths. In this paper, we propose a bandwidth measurement based scheduler to solve this problem. Bandwidth measurement based scheduler is designed to measure the bandwidth of each subflow and to perform packet scheduling based on it. In order to verify the proposed scheduler, we implemented the proposed scheduler in the Linux kernel and constructed a testbed in which bufferbloat occurs. Experimental results show that the proposed scheduler has better performance than the legacy MPTCP in bufferbloat environment.
우울증 환자에서 외상 사건 경험과 주관적 수면 문제의 특성

Objective : The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between subjective sleep problems and various types of traumatic events of patients with depressive disorder. Methods : A total of 411 patients diagnosed with depressive disorders were recruited in this study. The participants filled out Life Time Events Checklist (LEC), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). We used the independent t-test and analysis of covariance to compare each component of PSQI between depressive patients with and without traumatic experiences. Results : The groups of patients who experienced a serious accident at work, home or during recreational activity, sexual assault, other unwanted or uncomfortable sexual experience, life-threatening illness or injury, and sudden, unexpected death of a near and dear one showed lower scores in a few components of PSQI. Sleep disturbance was a common problem in all five groups. Lower subjective sleep quality and longer sleep latency was observed in three groups. There were no differences in the other components of PSQI among groups. Conclusion : This study showed that various types of traumatic events may have different effects on subjective sleep quality as a consequence of the traumatic event which they had experienced.
열처리한 PLLA SDY 섬유의 방사광 광각 X-선 회절 분석

Poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) filament fibers prepared by one-step melt spinning process with spin drawing were annealed at $100^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$ and the effects of annealing on the crystal structure, crystallinity, and orientation of PLLA were studied by using synchrotron wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) method. The PLLA SDY fibers of this study showed an ${\alpha}$-form crystal structure which was not affected by the annealing. The crystallity, crystallite size of the (200) plane of ${\alpha}$-form crystal, total orientation (${\Delta}n$), and crystalline orientation ($f_c$) increased with increasing annealing time up to 30 minutes at 100 and $120^{\circ}C$.

Organic carbon and nitrogen stable isotope ratios of particulate organic matter (POM) were determined at 7 stations (6 stations in Han river and Paldang dam outflow station) from May to October 2013, in order to understand the origin of POM at the Han river. δ13C values of POM in four stations showed significant seasonal changes season, but δ15N values were enriched in around Kyeongan stream (K). POC, PN and Chl-a concentration showed a similar seasonal pattern in Kyeongan stream, with an apparent decrease from July to August. POC and PN concentration has a higher correlation with Chl-a concentration in Kyeongan stream (K). δ13C and δ15N values of POM has a lighter value during lower Chl-a concentration peroid, compared to other seasons. Our results revealed that Kyeongan stream (K) seemed to be influenced by substantial amount of organic manure or fertilizer input in 2013, compared to the previous year (2012). These results suggest that the analysis of stable isotope ratios is a simple but useful tool for the identification of organic matter origin in aquatic environments
