디지털교과서 내용 구성에 관한 사용자 선호도 분석

본 논문에서는 고등교육에서 활용되는 PDF, HTML 문서 형식에 기반을 둔 디지털교과서 기본 내용구성에 관한 사용자 선호도를 분석하고자 한다. 이는 현재 웹상에서 사용되고 있는 PDF와 HTML 기반의 대표적인 내용 구성 양식을 바탕으로 사용자 선호도에 관한 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여 분석한 후 이루어졌다. 설문조사 결과, PDF 기반인 경우 화면 왼쪽에 목차 링크를, 오른쪽에 교과서 내용을 제시한 디지털교과서 내용 구성이 82%의 응답자에 의해 가장 선호되는 구성으로 나타났으며, 보기 기능으로는 단면 보기에 서책의 한 페이지를 컴퓨터 화면 폭에 맞추어 제시한 것이었다. HTML 기반인 경우에도 PDF 경우와 유사하게 두-프레임을 이용하여 왼쪽 프레임에는 목차 링크를, 오른쪽 프레임에는 교과서 내용을 제시한 내용 구성이 84%의 응답자에 의해 가장 선호되는 형식으로 드러났다. 그러나 현재 대부분의 웹사이트에서 사용되고 있는 PDF, HTML 기반의 디지털교과서 내용 구성은 사용자 선호도를 반영하고 있지 못한 것으로 드러났다. 따라서 향후 디지털교과서 개발 시에는 학생들이 교과서 내용을 보다 쉽고 편리하게 읽을 수 있도록 사용자 선호도를 고려하여 교과서 내용을 구성해야 할 것으로 보인다. This paper analyzes user preferences on the basic structure of digital textbook contents based on the PDF and HTML formats. This was conducted by analysing the data from an online survey on user preferences for the representative structures of the PDF- and HTML-based digital textbook contents that are currently used on the Web. Results show that in the PDF format, the structure with TOC(Table Of Contents) links on the left screen and the main content on the right was most preferred by 82% of the respondents. In terms of the viewing method, the one that presents one page of the textbook fitted to the width of the computer screen in a single-page view was regarded as the best. Similarly, in the HTML format, the structure with TOC links on the left frame and the main content on the right using 2-frames was revealed as the most preferred by 84% of the respondents. However, the structures of the PDF- and HTML-based digital textbook contents employed by most existing Web sites go against the users' preferences. Accordingly, for digital textbook development in the future, user preferences must be considered to allow students to read the contents more easily and conveniently.

청소년의 스마트폰 의존이 사회적 위축에 미치는 영향: 운동참여의 조절효과

The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of exercise participation on the relationships between smartphone dependence (SD) and social withdrawal (SW) among adolescents. The data were obtained from the 2018 Korean Youth Panel Survey. A total of 2,590 First grade middle school students were included in the study. The data were analyzed by multiple regression using SPSS 20.0. First, SD (e.g., tolerance, withdrawal) positively affected SW. Second, exercise participation not only had a direct effect on SW, but also moderated the effects of SD (e.g., tolerance) and SW. These results suggest that exercise participation may play an important role in preventing smartphone dependence and improving mental health among adolescents.

다문화 사회의 독서 능력에 대한 재인식

우리 사회는 인종, 민족, 종교, 계층, 성, 장애 여부에 따른 다양한 문화를 가진 집단들로 구성되어 있다. 다문화 교육과 관련한 (한)국어교육의 핵심 과제는 다문화 문식성으로 설명되어 왔지만 인종이나 민족적 다양성을 중심으로 다문화 문식성을 제한적으로 다루는 것은 한계가 있다. 여러 집단 간의 문화적 차이를 만드는 변수는 다양하고 서로 복합적으로 작용하기 때문이다. 그래서 이 연구에서는 다양한 집단들 간의 문화적 차이를 이해하고 포용하기 위해서 사회 구성원이 갖추어야 하는 독서 능력을 다문화 문식성에서 포용적 문식성으로 확장하고자 하였다. 그 세부적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지식의 확장을 위해 독자들은 타자와 그들이 속한 세계에 대한 이해를 확장해 나갈 수 있는 다문화 감수성을 갖추어야 한다. 다문화 감수성은 다문화적 읽기의 방법을 통해 확장될 수 있다. 둘째, 기능의 훈련 차원에서 독자들은 텍스트 속에서 명시적이거나 암묵적인 편견과 차별을 발견해 낼 수 있는 비판적 문식성을 갖추어야 한다. 이는 하나의 이슈를 다룬 여러 텍스트를 함께 읽는 주제 통합적 읽기를 통해 신장될 수 있다. 셋째, 태도의 형성과 실천 측면에서 독자는 타자를 공감적으로 이해할 수 있어야 한다. 타자의 문화를 ‘나’의 맥락이 아닌 ‘당사자’의 맥락에서 읽는 문화 감응적 읽기를 통해 공감적 이해를 확대할 수 있다. The society is composed of diverse cultural groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, class, gender, and disability. Until now, the core task of Korean multicultural language education has been described as “multicultural literacy”. However, it is not appropriate to limit the scope of multicultural literacy based on racial or ethnic diversity. This is because the diverse variables cause cultural differences between different groups and act in a complex manner. Therefore, this study expands on the reading ability the members of a society must have to understand and embrace the cultural differences between various groups from multicultural literacy to inclusive literacy. In terms of the knowledge expansion, readers must have a multicultural sensibility to expand their understanding of others and the world to which they belong. Multicultural sensitivity can be expanded through multicultural reading. In terms of skill training, readers must have critical literacy to discover explicit or implicit bias and discrimination in texts. This can be expanded through syntopical reading in which multiple texts dealing with one issue are read together. In terms of attitude formation and practice, the reader must be able to empathize with others. Empathic understanding can be expanded through culturally responsive reading, which reads the culture of others in the context of “the person” rather than the “self”.

일상사의 관점에서 본 영화〈패터슨〉

인간은 일상적 행위의 규칙적 반복 없이는 존재할 수 없다. 한 개인이 자신의 생명을 유지하기 위해 행하는 일상의 행위들은 타자와의 관계 속에서 이루어진다. 그러므로 일상의 모든 사건이 발생하는 장소와 시간은 일상의 삶을 유지하는 필수 요소이다. 존재가 지닌 이러한 요소는 첨단기술의 시대에 비대면 활동을 빈번하게 하는 현대인들의 삶에서도 예외가 될 수는 없다. 영화〈패터슨〉에서는 세 개의 이름이 모두 동일한 ‘패터슨’이다. 영화의 제목, 도시의 이름, 그리고 영화 주인공의 이름. 주인공 패터슨은 시내버스 운전사이다. 버스를 운전하는 그의 일상은 패터슨 시에 거주하고 있는 승객들의 시공간과 겹친다. 패터슨이라는 미국의 작은 도시 공간에서 주인공과 타자들은 서로 이해와 배려를 하면서 일상을 공유하고 있다. 그래서 말없이 맞물려 돌아가는 각자의 일상은 서로의 삶을 지탱해 주고 있다. 짐 자무쉬 감독은 일상이 지닌 깊은 의미를 관객에게 전달하기 위해 자신만의 독특한 촬영기법으로 영화를 제작하였다. Human beings cannot exist without regular repetition of everyday actions. Everyday actions performed by an individual to maintain his or her life are made in relationships with others. Therefore, the place and time in which all daily events occur are essential elements for maintaining daily life. These elements of existence cannot be an exception in the lives of modern people who frequently engage in non-face-to-face activities in the age of high-tech. In the movie〈Patterson〉, all three names are the same ‘Patterson’. The title of the film, the name of the city, and the name of the films protagonist. The main character, Patterson, is a city bus driver. His daily life of driving a bus overlaps with the time and space of passengers living in Paterson City. In a small American urban space called Patterson, the protagonist and others share their daily lives with mutual understanding and consideration. So, their daily routines that interlock without a word are supporting each others lives. Director Jim Jarmusch produced the film using his own unique filming techniques to convey the profound meaning of everyday life to the audience.

<네버렛미고>를 통해본 복제 인간 윤리

생명공학의 발달로 인해 복제 인간을 만들기 위해 인간의 유전자를 복제한다는 가상의 시나리오는 더 이상 낯설지 않다. <네버렛미고>의 등장인물들은 100세 수명기획에 의해 실험실에서 만들어진 복제 인간들이다. 이들은 해일샴이라는 학교에서 공동생활을 하면서 은밀하게 사육되는데, 이 프로젝트의 목적은 불치병에 걸린 진짜 인간 환자들에게 건강한 장기를 제공하기 위한 것이다. 주인공 캐시, 토미, 그리고 루스는 사춘기 시절 이곳에서 육체와 의식의 성장을 경험하며 자신들이 복제 인간이라는 정체성의 비밀도 알게 된다. 성인이 되어 이들은 두 번째 거주지 코티지로 이동하여 장기기증을 시작할 준비를 한다. 두 번째 단계 또한 좀 더 진짜 성인 인간의 장기와 유사한 장기를 만들어 제공하기 위한 프로그램의 일환이다. 인간들이 꾸민 모든 계획을 다 알고 있지만, 이들은 그것에 대해 저항하지 않고 자신들이 처한 상황을 숙명적으로 수용한다. 그러나 이들의 무저항은 삶에 대한 포기 선언이 아니라 자신들의 장기 기증을 통해 생명의 연장이라는 또 다른 미래를 위한 자기희생적 생명 연장이다. 영화는 복제된 인간들의 우애와 희생적 태도를 강조해서 보여줌으로써 난치병의 치료를 위한 생명공학과 생명윤리라는 상이한 견해에 대해 철학적 사유가 뒷받침된 생명윤리적 관점에서 복제 인간에 대한 논의를 이어갈 필요가 있음을 보여준다. The evolution of biotechnology is no longer strange to the hypothetical scenario of cloning human genes to make cloned human beings. The characters of <Never Let Me Go> are cloned humans made in the laboratory by the 100-year-old life planning. They are cohabited in a school called Hailsham, where they are secretly reared. The purpose of this project is to provide healthy organs to real human patients with incurable diseases. The main characters Cathy, Tommy, and Ruth experience the growth of body and consciousness here during adolescence, and they also know the secret of identity as a clone. As adults, they move to a second residence, Cottage and are ready to begin organ donation. The second stage is also part of a program to provide more genuine-like organs to real patients. Even though they know all the plans that humans have built, they do not resist them and fatefully accept their situation. However, their non-responsiveness is not a declaration of renunciation of life, but a self-sacrificing life extension for another future that is the extension of life through their organ donation. The film emphasizes the fraternity and sacrificial attitudes of the cloned human beings and shows that it is necessary to continue the discussions on cloned human beings from a bio-ethical point of view supported by philosophical reasons.

시대와 함께하는 신화

희랍 신화속의 조각가 피그말리온은 미적으로 완벽한 조화를 갖춘 조각상을 완성한 후, 자신이 만든 조각상과 사랑에 빠져 비너스에게 그것을 인간으로 변신시켜 달라고 기도한다. 인간으로 변한 조각상과 그는 결혼한다. 버나드 쇼의 영화 <피그말리온>에서 언어학자 히긴스는 런던 길거리에서 꽃 파는 여인 일라이자를 데려와서 그녀의 말투와 태도를 상류층 여성의 그것으로 바꾸어 놓는다. 히긴스는 신화의 피그말리온과 달리 피조물의 겉모습뿐만 아니라 내면까지도 변화시켜 놓아 그녀는 주체성을 회복한 ‘신여성’으로 변모한다. 영화 <어글리 트루스>의 애비는 철저한 계획성과 지식을 요구하는 방송국 피디로서 성공한 삶을 살고 있는 것 같지만, 그녀의 삶은 진정한 인간에 대한 이해와 애정을 바탕으로 한 이상적 관계를 부정하고 있다. 애비와는 달리 마이크는 본능과 감성을 매우 중요시 여기는 삶을 살고 있으며 마이크의 이러한 태도는 차가운 조각상 같은 애비를 따뜻한 피가 흐르는 인간으로 서서히 바꾸어 놓는다. 두 편의 영화에서 피그말리온들은 결함이 많은 여성을 외적으로 뿐만 아니라 내적으로도 바꾸어 놓아 그들과의 진정한 소통을 가능하게 하고 있다. The Greek sculptor, Pygmalion, created a sculpture which was perfect in shape and fell in love with it. He prayed the goddess of love, Venus to transform it into a real woman. She answered his asking, and he finally got married to her. In Bernard Shaws movie, <Pygmalion>, the linguist, Dr. Higgins, brought a street girl, Eliza Doolittle to his home and educated her standard London dialect and upper-class manners. Unlike the Greek sculptor, Higgins changed not only her appearance but also her inner identity, then she became a new woman of the age. Abby in <The Ugly Truth> seems to live a successful life of thorough planning and pursuing knowledge, but there is no place for her to express natural instinct and human emotion. On the other hand, Mike is a totally different type of a person from her. Like a Greek sculptor, he changes her into a woman who can truly understand other people from her heart and listen to what her inner-self says to her. The Greek myth metaphorically suggests the way to build true relationships between people of all times.

자동화된 프로그래밍 과제 평가 시스템의 설계 및 구현

프로그래밍 교육에 있어 학습자의 학업 성취도를 향상시킬 수 있는 중요한 요인 중의 하나는 다양한 형태의 과제를 학습자에게 부여하여 문제 해결 연습 기회를 많이 제공해 주는 것이다. 그러나 프로그래밍 과제 평가는 대부분 수작업으로 행해지고 있으면 정확한 평가 방법을 제공해 줄 수 있는 자동화된 도구 또한 결여되어 있는 게 현실이다. 이러한 제한된 환경 하에서 과제 평가는 교수자들에게 많은 시간과 노력을 요구하게 되어 다양한 형태의 과제 부여는 현실적으로 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해서는 교수자가 효율적이고 일괄적인 방법으로 과제를 쉽게 평가할 수 있고, 학습자들 상호간의 프로그램 소스코드의 표절 또한 용이하게 검사할 수 있는 자동화된 프로그래밍 평가 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 교수자가 프로그램의 성능을 자동적인 방법으로 평가할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 적절한 피드백과 함께 프로그램의 스타일과 표절에 대한 검사 또한 용이하게 수행할 수 있는 웹을 기반으로 한 프로그래밍 과제 평가 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. One of important factors for improving the learning achievement of students in computer programming education is to provide plenty of opportunities of problem-solving experiences through variety forms of assignments. However, for the most cases, evaluation of programming assignments is performed manually by instructors and automated tools for the accurate evaluation are not equipped at the present time. Under this restricted environment, instructors need much work and time to grade assignments so that instructors could not deliver sufficient programming assignments to students. In order to overcome this problem, au automated programming assignment evaluation system is needed that would enable instructors to evaluate assignments easily in an effective and consistent way and also to detect any plagiarism activities among students in program source codes readily. Accordingly, in this paper we design and implement a Web-based programming assignment grading system that allows instructors to evaluate program performance automatically as well as to evaluate program styles and plagiarism easily with appropriate feedback.

Spinal epidural lipomatosis is a rare disorder characterized by overgrowth of fat in the extradural space, causing spinal stenosis with compression of the neural elements. This study reports on the effectiveness of Korean medicine treatment on a patient who was diagnosed on lumbar stenosis with lipomatosis. The patient was treated with Korean traditional medicine including pharmacopucture, acupuncture, Chuna manual treatment, and Korean herbal medicine, cupping. Numerical rating scale (NRS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), Euroqol five dimension (EQ-5D) index, lumbar range of motion were used as objective tools for evaluating the patient’s progress. Back NRS decreased from 6 to 3. In the case of lower limbl radiation NRS, 5 was reduced to 3 upon discharge. EQ-5D index also increased from 0.751 to 0.766. For ODI, the score dropped from 26.67 to 24.44 on hospitalization. As a result, clinical improvements were found in a patient. In conclusion, this study shows that Korean medicine treatment can be considered as effective conservative care for spinal stenosis with lipomatosis. (J Korean Med Rehabil 2020;30(4):195-201)

박목월의 아동관과 장르 의식의 재조명

The purpose of this study was to identify how the conception of children and children’s verse genre consciousness of Park Mokwol representing our modern history of poetic literature were reflected in his children’s verse works. In order to thoroughly carry out analysis of children’s verses and children’s verse theories, intertextual reading of poems and children’s verses, this study examined his genre consciousness and conception of children appearing in Children’s Verse Class(1957), the World of Children’s Verse(1968), a collection of children’s verses, Wild Bird’s Eggs and Aquatic Bird’s Eggs(1962), etc., and explored how the author’s conception of children and genre consciousness were reflected in his works of Nan・Gita(1958), Cheong dam(1964), and Wild Bird’s Eggs and Aquatic Bird’s Eggs through comparative analysis. From the results, it is confirmed that Park Mokwol perceived children and children’s verse genre with centering concepts of no objectives, fun, love, naivety, and goodness. Comparing poems and children’s verses he left between the late 1950s and the early 1960s, there are features of difficult figures due to family responsibilities in his poems but there was singing looking over the world in eyes and voices free from those responsibilities in his children’s verses. Supporting his family with lecture salaries and manuscript fees, Park Mokwol confronted economically difficult situations from time to time but he concentrated on constantly showing children’s ‘clear and beautiful minds’ in his works of children’s verses. In this manner, comparing his poems with his children’s verses, Park Mokwol’s angelic conception of children came into view the more distinctively. However, on the other hand, a point of contact between his poetry and children’s verses can be found in that Park Mokwol managed to keep a moderate poetic mind even in the world of his poetry while being on no bad terms with the society.
