        삼채 보충식이가 당뇨흰쥐 간의 항산화효소 함량에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Allium hookeri (AH) root on hepatic antioxidative enzyme contents in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced rats. Diabetes mellitus was induced in male Sprague-Dawley rats through injection of STZ dissolved in citrate buffer into tail veins at a dose of 45 mg/kg body weight. Sprague-Dawley rats were fed an AIN-93 recommended diet, and the experimental groups were fed a modified diet containing 5% and 10% of AH root powder for 4 weeks. The experimental groups were divided into four groups: a normal control (N-control), STZ-control, STZ-AH 5%, and STZ-AH 10% supplemented groups. The STZ-AH 5% group showed a significant increase in liver glycogen compared to the STZ-control group. Muscle glycogen and liver protein contents significantly increased in the AH-supplemented groups compared to the STZ-control group. The liver malondialdehyde content of the AH-supplemented group was significantly lower than that of the STZ-control group. Xanthine oxidase content was significantly reduced in all experimental groups. Glutathione-S-transferase content was significantly elevated in the AH-treated groups compared to the STZ-control group. Superoxide dismutase content was not significantly different among the experimental groups. Catalase content was significantly higher in the STZ-AH 10% group compared to the STZ-control group. These results show that supplementation with AH root may be useful for diabetic therapy and damage from oxidative stress.

        16주간 복합 트레이닝이 신경성 대식증 환자의 신체구성 및 건강관련체력, 기술관련체력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of combined exercise on bulimia nervosa’s body composition, health related fitness and skill related fitness. We recruited bulimia nervosa patients by internet and black board. 8 subject were recruited and they performed combined exercise which consisted moderated aerobic exercise and resistance exercise for 16 weeks. Moderate exercise intensity was 60%VO2max, moderate resistance exercise intensity was 60%1RM for respectively 30min. We measured body composition and healthy related fitness components, skill related fitness components at pre and post. Collected date were statically analyzed by SPSS PC win 21.0(USA, IBM, NY) and paired t-test was used to analysis the change of pre and post of variables. Statistical level was set up as α=.05. Of body composition, body weight and percent body fat decreased at post than pre(p<.001), although lean body mass increased at post than pre(p<.001). Of health related fitness, 1RM, VO2max and flexibility increased at post than pre(p<.001). Of skill related fitness, agility, dynamic balance, and power increased at post than pre(p<.001). In conclusion, it suggests that 16 weeks combined exercise could be an effective treatment to improve for Bulimia nervosa.

        Impact of Depression, Comorbid Chronic Diseases, and ADL on Health-Related Quality of Life Among Community-Dwelling Elderly People in Korea

        본 연구는 지역사회 거주 노인들의 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 위험요인들을 측정하여 평가 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 지역사회 거주노인 총 314명(연령평균:75.8세(5.64))이며 무질병 대상자가 81명, 만성질환자가 233명이며, 2개월 동안 삶의 질에 관한 설문지를 활용하여 상담을 실시하였다. 일상생활활동은 Barthel Index(BI)와 Frenchay Activities Index(FAI)로 평가하였으며 심리상태는 노인우울척도, 건강관련 삶의 질은 한국판 SF-36으로 평가하였다. 조사결과 중복 만성질환 노인은 일상생활동작이 떨어지며, 우울하고, 인지기능의 저하와 건강관련 삶의 질이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 우울증, 중복 만성질환 및 일상생활활동이 노인의 건강관련 삶의 질을 저하시키는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 중복 만성질환과 낮은 일상생활활동이 우울증과 결합되어 건강관련 삶의 질을 더욱 저하시킬 수 있다는 것을 새롭게 제시하였다. The purpose of study was evaluated associations among risk factors to have influence on HRQOL of community dwelling Elderly People. Total 314 community dwelling elderly persons(age:75.80±5.64[mean±SD]) who had no disease(n=81) and more than two chronic diseases (n=233) were interviewed based on the QOL questionnaires. During two months. The activities of daily living were evaluated using BI and FAI. Neuropsychological status was evaluated using GDS. Health related QOL was evaluated using the SF-36. The results emphasize the importance of preventing and controlling depression, chronic diseases, and low basic activities of daily living in order to reduce their impact on HRQOL among community dwelling elderly people.

        함초 첨가식이가 당뇨유발 흰쥐의 항산화효소 활성에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to examine the effects of Salicornia herbacea L. (glasswort: GW) on hepatic antioxidative enzyme activities in diabetic rats. Diabetes mellitus was induced in male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-220g by an injection of streptozotocin (STZ) dissolved in a citrate buffer into the tail vein at a dose of 45 mg/kg of body weight. Sprague-Dawley rats were fed an AIN-93 recommended diet and the experimental groups were fed a modified diet containing 10% and 20% of glasswort powder for 4 weeks. The experimental groups were divided into 6 groups which consisted of normal (N)-control group, N-GW 10% and N-GW 20% treated groups, STZ-control, STZ-GW 10% and STZ-GW 20% treated groups. The activities of Xanthine oxidase (XOD), glutathione- S-transferase (GST), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), glutathione reductase (GR), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and CAT (CAT) were measured in the homogenates of liver. The activity of CAT was lower in the supplementary group with glasswort compare to the STZcontrol group but it was not significantly different. The activity of SOD was not significant in all of experimental groups. The activity of GR was significantly increased in the normal supplementary group with glasswort, and GPX activity was significantly increased in STZ-GW 10% group compare to the STZ-control group. The activity of XOD was significantly decreased in the all of supplementary groups with glasswort. The activity of GST was significantly increased in the N-GW 20% group and it was significantly decreased in the STZ-GW 20% group. These results show that the supplementation of glasswort may have favorable influence on antioxidative status in diabetic rats and it may be useful for the diabetic complications as functional food.

        3차원 체형분석기를 이용한 신체구성의 평가

        This study used the third generation 3-dimensional analyzer instrument to examine body composition and additionally analyzed the difference in circumference, width, depth and ratio by using five different criteria (very high, high, normal, small, very small) to provide background of research references. The physical characteristics were analyzed by percent of Ideal Body Weight, Body Mass Index, etc. 6parts. The physical circumferences were analyzed by chest circumference, ankle circumference, tec. 9parts. The physical width were analyzed shoulder width, thigh width, etc 6parts. The physical depth weer analyzed by chest depth, thigh depth etc. 5parts. The physical height were analyzed by chest depth, thigh depth, etc. 5 parts. The measurements items were total 31 items. We concluded that 5 level evaluation would be more helpful academic materials suggesting that 3-dimensional analyze instruments would be more effective. The findings in this study complement the inaccuracy of instruments of conventional body composition analyzer or tape line which are widely used. The improvement of accuracy might suggest various applications in academical research.

        중강도 유산소성 운동 전, 후 헬스에이드 운동 간격 차이가 피로물질에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Health Aid exercise interval difference before and after moderate aerobic exercise on lactate concentration and free radical. 20 subject participated in this study. they were divided into two groups(Group I(n=10): healthaid exercise during warm-up and cool-down with 10cm distance. Group II(n=10): healthaid exercise during warm-up and cool-down with 60cm distance. Treadmill running exercise consisted of 65%HRR, 30minutes running. Blood sample obtained rest, post-warm up, post-exercise, post-cool down. Collected date were statically analyzed by SPSS PC win 20.0(USA, IBM, NY) and two-way repeated ANOVA were used to analyze data. Bonferroni’s method was used to verify the significant difference among group as a post-hoc analysis. Statistical level was set up as α=.05. the result of lactate concentration increased in post-exercise compared to post-warm up(p<.001). However, lactate concentration decreased in post-cool down compared to post-exercise(p<.05). Group I in post-cool down showed less lactate concentration compared to Group II.(p<.05). The result of free radical showed increased in post-exercise in both groups(p<.001). However, free radical decreased in post-cool down compared to post-exercise in both group(p<.05). In conclusion, it suggests that healthaid exercise for warm up and cool down especially with 10cn distance would be positive method in order to eliminate free radical and lactat accumulation compared to 60cm distance.

        비타민나무잎 식이보충과 당뇨흰쥐 간장의 항산화효소 수준에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 4주간 비타민나무잎을 식이에 보충하여 streptozotocin 당뇨흰쥐 간장의 cytosol에서 항산화효소 수준을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 간장의 MDA 수준이 비타민나무잎 10% 첨가군에서는 정상실험군에서 유의적으로 낮은 수준을 보였고, 당뇨실험군에서는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. SOD 수준은 정상실험군에서는 정상대조군에 비해 비타민나무잎 20% 첨가군에서 유의적으로 높은 수준이었고 당뇨실험군에서는 당뇨대조군보다 높아지는 경향이었으나 유의성은 검증되지 않았다. CAT 수준은 정상실험군에서는 비타민나무잎 첨가 시 정상대조군에 비해 유의성이 검증되었고 비타민나무잎 10% 첨가군에서 높은 수준이었다. 당뇨실험군에서는 당뇨대조군에 비해 비타민나무잎 10% 첨가군에서 유의적으로 낮은 수준으로 비타민나무잎 보충정도에 따른 수준 차이를 보였다. GPX 수준은 정상대조군과 당뇨대조군 사이에는 유의적인 차이를 보였다. 정상실험군에서는 비타민나무잎 첨가 비율이 높은 20% 첨가군에서 유의적으로 수준이 높았으며 당뇨실험군에서는 당뇨대조군에 비해 모든 비타민나무잎 분말 첨가군에서 유의적으로 높은 수준이었다. GR의 수준은 각각의 실험군 사이에 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 생체내 유리기를 제거해주는 효소적 방어계인 GST 수준은 정상실험군에서는 비타민 나무잎 10% 첨가군보다 20% 첨가군에서 유의적으로 낮은 수준이었고, 당뇨실험군에서는 당뇨대조군에 비해 모든 비타민나무잎 첨가군에서 유의적으로 낮은 수준이었다. 간장의 cytosol에서 생체 내 유리기 생성계의 하나인 XOD 수준은 정상실험군에서는 정상대조군에 비해 비타민나무잎 20%첨가군에서 유의적으로 높은 수준이었고, 당뇨실험군에서는 당뇨대조군에 비해 비타민나무잎 첨가군 모두에서 유의적으로 낮은 수준을 보였다. 이상의 연구결과 비타민나무잎 분말을 식이로 첨가하였을 때 당뇨흰쥐 간장의 SOD 수준은 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, GPX 수준은 유의적으로 증가하였고 XOD 수준은 유의적으로 낮은 수준임을 확인할 수 있었다. This study was designed to examine the effect of sea buckthorn (SBT) leaves on hepatic antioxidative enzyme levels in diabetic rats. Diabetes mellitus was induced in male Sprague-Dawley rats by an injection of streptozotocin (STZ). Sprague-Dawley rats were then fed for four weeks, with experimental groups receiving a modified diet containing 10% or 20% powder derived from SBT leaves. The experimental groups were divided into six groups: a normal (N)-control group, N-SBT 10% and N-SBT 20% treated groups, STZ-control, STZ-SBT 10% and STZ-SBT 20% treated groups. Malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and xanthine oxidase (XOD) levels were measured in liver cytosol. The results showed that the level of SOD was significantly increased in the N-SBT 20% group but not statistically different in the diabetic group. The level of CAT was significantly higher in the N-SBT 20% group compared to the control group. The level of GPX was significantly increased in the N-SBT 20% group and the diabetic supplementary group. In contrast, the level of XOD was significantly decreased in the diabetic group supplemented with SBT leaves.

        당뇨 유발 흰쥐에서 삼채뿌리 첨가 식이가 혈당과 지질 수준에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to examine the effects of Allium hookeri (AH) on plasma blood glucose and fat profile levels in diabetic rats. Diabetes mellitus was induced in male Sprague-Dawley rats through injection of streptozotocin (STZ) dissolved in citrate buffer into tail veins at a dose of 45 mg/kg of body weight. Sprague-Dawley rats were then fed for 4weeks, with the experimental groups receiving a modified diet containing 5% or 10% powder derived from AH roots. The experimental groups were divided into four groups, consisting of a control group, STZ-control group, and diabetic fed with AH 5% & 10% treated groups. Rats’ body weights, blood glucose, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), and free fatty acid (FFA) values in plasma were measured along with hematocrit (Hct) values and aminotransferase activities. Body weight losses were observed in the STZ-control group, whereas the STZ-AH group of diabetic rats gained weight. There was a significantly decrease in brain weight of the STZ-AH group but no significant differences in kidney and liver weights of the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% groups compared to the STZ-control group. Blood glucose was significantly reduced in the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% diabetic groups. There were no significant differences in total cholesterol and TG levels among the diabetic groups. HDL-cholesterol significantly increased while FFA significantly decreased in the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% diabetic groups. The Hct level of the STZ-AH group was lower than that of the STZ-control group. Aspartate aminotransferase activity was significantly reduced in the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% diabetic groups. These results indicate that supplementation with Allium hookeri root may have beneficial effects on diabetic complications as a potential therapeutic candidate.
