Halothane에 依하여 惹起되는 negative inotropic action의 機轉을 檢討하기 爲하여 glucose, pyruvate 또는 succinate가 含有된 Krebs Ringer bicarbonate 營養液中에서 halothane의 存在가 NaF(ImF)의 positive inotropic action에 미치는 影響을 렛드 摘出心房收縮의 變化를 觀察하여 다음과 같은成績을 얻었다. Substrate가 存在하지 않는 營養液에 glucose 또는 pyruvate를 添加하므로서 惹起되는 摘出心房收縮의 恢復은 halothane이 存在할 때 顯著히 抑制되었다. Glucose가 含有된 KRB營養液中에 halothane의 存在는 NaF를 添加하므로서 惹起되는 positive inotropic action이 抑制되지 아니 하였으나, pyruvate 또는 succinate가 含有된 營養液에서는 抑制되는 傾向을 나타내었다. 本實驗에 使用한 NaF의 positive inotropic action은 glucose가 含有된 營養液에서는 營養液의 pH가 6.5일대 比하여 7.4일때 더욱 顯著하였으며, pyruvate 또는 succinate가 含有된 營養液에서는 pH가 7.4일때 比해 6.5일때 즉 dicarboxylic acid의 細胞膜에 對한 透過性이 增加되는 狀態에서 더욱 顯著하였다. 以上의 實驗成績으로 미루어 보아 halothane의 negative inotropic action은 pyruvate 또는 succinate의 轉送 또는 代謝와도 關係가 있을것이라고 思料된다. The effect of NaF(1mM)on the halothane-induced negative inotropic action was investigated in Krebs Ringer bicarbonate (KRB) media with giucose(5mM), pyruvate(5mM) or succinate(10mM) using isolated rat atria, electrically driven. NaF was used in this experiment as experimental tool because of having assumption that NaF induced positive inotropic action might be related to the utilization or transport of pyruvate in our preliminary experiments. (Fig. 3,4,5, & 6) Contractility of isolated rat atria incubatedin substrate free KRB media was restored by addition of glucose or pyruvate to the media, but the restoration was weakened in the presence of halothane(4.5±0.8㎎%). NaF-induced positive inotropic action in KRB with glucose was little affected the presence of halothane, but in the KRB with pyruvate or succinate was reduced. These results suggest that halothane-induced negative inotropic action may be related to transport or utilization of some substrate in Krebs cycle.

In recent years, it has been believed that the DNA synthetic time (S-phase) is between 7 and 9 hours, however, the reports on this subject were vastly variable and also variable on G_2-phase (postsynthetic time) We presumed that S-phase would not be constant but S+G_2 phase would be constant. And we estimated the percent of labeled mitosis with one day postnatal chick stomach, and calculated as followings: 1. The S-phase was 4.5 hours, G_2-phase was 8.8 hours. 2. Minimum S-phase was 3 hours. 3. The total generation time was 19.5 hours and similar with the other reports, and the second curve was irregular, so it was computed by means of a formula using the labeling index and S-phase. It could be concluded that there were some relations between shortened S-phase and prolonged G_2-phase, and S+G_2phase were constant, however, it is needed more consideration and further study.

In passive sonar, the frequency spectrum of a sound radiated by underwater moving targets is composed of a broadband nonuniform background noise and narrowband discrete tonals. To detect the tonals, the background noise is estimated and removed. Using the existing algorithms that estimate the background noise, a week tonals are not detected. Because a freuqency line that is formed by tonals which are being extracted continuously is a feture of the target, we are nessesory to efficiently detect the tonals that compose the frequncy line. In this paper, we propose an efficient neural network that can remove automatically the background and detect the even errl tonals, and we extract the frequency line feature on the spectrogram by the proposed algorithm. The experimental results for a ship's radiated sound show a better performance in comparison with the existing TPM algorithm.
