N/A The object of this research is to estimate the hardenability of quenched carbon steels AISI 1050. The equation of transient heat conduction was analyzed to derive cooling curve by finite element method. The effects of temperature on physical properties, metallic structures and the latent heat by phase transformation were considered. A good agreement was found between analytical and experimental results to show that the proposed numerical procedure was reliable. This procedure could be used as the detabase for optimal condition of heat treatment cycle.
기계적으로 합금화되 Al-Fe합금의 풀림처리에 따른 기계적 특성

Mechanical alloying behaviour was investigated after adding 6, 8, 12wt% Fe powder into A1 matrix, respectively, in order to develop Al alloy. And the mechanical characteristics of the alloy which was produced by the above method were studied. The hardness and ultimata tensile strength of the material with different compositions were found to be increased with annealing temperatures and holding times. Intermetallic compound of Al₃Fe and carbide of Al₄C₃phases, which were generated from the different compositions during annealing, were found. It was suggested that enhancement of mechanical properties of Al-Fe alloy system was due to the presence of these preapitates that constrained grain growth and blocked dislocation movement in the alloy system.

In this a set of constitutive equation relevant to the analysis of thermo-elasto-plastic materials with phase transformation during quenching process was presented on the basis of continuum thermodynamic. In calculating the transient thermal stresses, temperature between coolant and specimen(SM45C) surface was determined from the heat transfer coefficient. A calculation was made for specimen with 40㎜ in diameter quenched in coolant from 820℃ and the results are as follow. Stresses at starting point of transformation always show the maximum tensile value. Reverse of stresses takes place after completion of transformation of inner part at specimen.

On-machine measuring system from 3-D solid modeler is generally applied to asses the functional performance of a final produce for mould. Automatic measuring system may also be performed on individual components of mould in which some functional aspect of the component must be examined and cannot be implicity determined by means of a mechanical inspection. The objective of automatic measuring systems at on-machine is to provide a mould manufacturing management tool which can allow entire manufacturing facilities to be planned and prototyped on the computer. Increcised productivity translates into a more competitive position for the firm because it will reduce staff requirements on a moulds cutting and measuring. This leads to lower cast in addition to improving response time on projects with tight schedules.

Silicon on insulator(SOI) wafer is used in a variety of microsensor in which thermal deformations and other mechanical effects may dominate device performance. One of major problems associated with the manufacturing processes of the microaccelerometer based on the tunneling current concept is thermal deformations and thermal stresses. This paper deals with finite element analysis(FEA) of residual thermal deformations causing popping up, which are induced in micromaching processes of a microaccelerometer. The reason for this popping up phenomenon in manufacturing processes of microaccelerometer may be the bending of the whole wafer or it may come from the way the underetching occurs. We want to seek after the real cause of this popping up phenomenon and diminish this by changing manufacturing processes of microaccelerometer. In microaccelerometer manufacturing process, this paper intend to find thermal deformation change of the temperature distribution by tunnel gap and additional beams. The thermal behaviors analysis intend to use ANSYS V5.5.3.

The object of this research is to estimate for pearlite structure of quenched carbon steels. The effects of temperature on physical properties, metallic structures and the latent heat by phase transformation were considered. In this study a set of constitutive equations relevant to the analysis of thermo-elasto plastic materials with pearlite phase transformation during quenching process way presented on the basis of continuum thermo-dynamics. The iso-thermal transformation curve of the SM50C was formulated by cubic spline curve. The formulated equations of evolution in pearlite transformation was used for structure analysis. The volume fraction of pearlite was obtained from the results of calculated metallic structures by Finite element equation.
