        한국 청소년문학과 출판전략

        이 논문은 한국 청소년문학을 출판시장이라는 전제 아래 다각도로 점검하는 과정을 통해 그 장르적 위치를 확인하고 새로운 가능성을 확보하기 위한 방법론을 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 본고는 주로 텍스트 자체가 가진 미학이나 문학성의 차원에서 다뤄졌던 기존 청소년문학의 논의들을 출판과 유통의 범위까지 확장하여 살폈다. 이를 통해 가장 먼저 확인할 수 있었던 것은 청소년 문학이 생산자와 소비자 그리고 다양한 시스템 사이의 이견으로 여전히 장르적 정체성이 명확하지 않다는 잠재적 문제를 가지고 있다는 것이었다. 2000년대에 들어 청소년문학이 대중들과 다층적인 접속을 위한 활로를 모색하는 것과는 별도로 여전히 강력한 입시제도의 영향력과 권장·추천도서 시스템이 동시에 작용하고 있다는 사실은 주목할 필요가 있다. 청소년문학이 문화산업의 왜곡된 힘에 저항하고, 창조적인 의식을 지닌 문화생산의 주체로서의 청소년들이 스스로 새로운 문화지층을 형성하는데 도움이 되기 위해서는 새로운 방법론이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 첫째 ‘청소년’과 ‘청소년문학’에 관한 전제의 폭을 좀 더 유연하게 하는 것과, 둘째, 청소년문학을 유통하는 다양한 서사 플랫폼에 대한 폭넓은 수용과 적극적인 연구, 마지막으로 생산자와 소비자 그리고 공적시스템의 협업적 독서환경과 출판환경의 조성에 대한 지속적인 관심이 요구된다. 한국 청소년문학이 현재 출판시장에서 확보하고 있는 장르적 위치는 우리 현대문학이 겪고 있는 몇 가지 고질적인 문제에 관한 의미있는 시사점을 제시한다. 청소년문학이 우리 문학시장에서 예술성과 시장성을 지속적으로 유지하기 위해서는 미학적 가치에 대한 연구와 지원과 더불어 소비자와 생산자 그리고 연구자, 유통담당자들의 좀 더 전문적이고 현실 밀착적인 차원의 논의가 지속적으로 이루어져야 한다. This article aims at confirming the position of its genre and finding the methodology to ensure a fresh possibility through the process of inspecting Korean young adult literature from various angles on the premise of the publication market. For this purpose the article expanded and examined the existent discussion of young adult literature that had been mainly handled at the level of aesthetics of the text itself or literary value into the range of publication and distribution. The first thing confirmed through this was that young adult literature has a potential problem, which is the lack of identity of its genre, because of the different views among producers, consumers and various systems. Apart from the fact that young adult literature has been seeking solutions to the multiple access to the public in the new millennium, it has to be notified that still strong influence of college admission system and recommended and suggested reading system are functioning at the same time. A new methodology is needed so that young adult literature resists the retorted power of cultural industry and enables the young adults as the subject of cultural production with creative awareness to build a new ground layer of culture for themselves. The following are required for this: first, more flexibility in the range of the premise of ‘young adult’ and ‘young adult literature’; second, broad acceptance and active research on various narration platforms distributing young adult literature; last, consistent interest in fostering cooperative reading environment and publishing environment among producers, consumers and the public system. The position of its genre that young adult literature obtains in the current publication market suggests a significant implication of some endemic problems Korean modern literature is struggling with. In order that young adult literature maintains consistent artistry and marketability, more professional and down-to-earth discussions among consumers, producers and researchers, distributors should be made continuously in addition to the research and support on the aesthetic value.

        일반논문 : 오타쿠와 한국문학 -현대소설의 새로운 방법론-

        본고는 현대소설의 내외부에 드러난 오타쿠적 특징을 통해 이를 좀 더 긍정적인 방향으로 이끌 수 있는 방안을 찾아 현대소설을 읽는 새로운 방법을 제안하는데 목적이있다. 우선, 일반적인 오타쿠에 관한 논의를 통해 오타쿠를 양산하는 문화환경의 특징과 더불어 서브컬처가 문학환경에 미치는 영향을 살피고, 이러한 오타쿠에게 추출한 특징 중 대표적인 요소들을 통해 우리 소설과 소설환경에 다각도로 접근해보고자 한다. 그 네 가지 특성은 가상놀이, 몰입, 콘텐츠, 공감이다. 이는 오타쿠의 대표적인 속성인 동시에 궁극적으로 현재의 소설이 가진 특징이면서도 과제와도 연결되어 있다.가상의 세계에서 오로지 개인적인 취향에 몰입해서 생산한 콘텐츠가 공감을 전제로 타자에게 영향을 준다는 오타쿠의 방식은 예술을 매개로 인간과 사회가 관계를 개선해 온 방법과 다르지 않기 때문이다. 이는, 결국 최근 다른 문화장르가 대중에게 주는 감동이나 주의환기, 담론형성, 또는 충격 등에 관한 기능이 정지靜止상태인 소설이 예술의 한 영역을 유지한 채, 현실세계에 실효적 영향력을 얼마나 발휘할 수 있는가에 관한 문제제기이다. 위협적인 경제의 논리를 비웃고, 착실하게 자신의 욕망에 몰입하는 오타쿠를 통한 본고의 제안은 낯선 것에 대한 능동적이고 긍정적인 관심에 관한 것이었다. 지금 우리에게 필요한 것은 세상 모든 문화에서 가치충돌의 가치를 통해 장場을 넘기는 역할을 담당해 왔던오타쿠일 것이다. When we search Korean contemporary fiction, moving it to a level of culture study, looking around its surroundings could suggest a new perspective about the phenomenon and context of Korean contemporary fiction. It also means the examination of Korean fiction if it possesses initiative for forming a new carnivalistic market, apart from the monopolistic market of culture industry in the current cultural environment which has the multinational monopolistic capital beyond national boundaries and the multiple multimedia form that enables us to use one content in various ways. This paper aims to find out the method that leads it toward more positive direction through studying the characteristics of Otaku manifested by Korean fiction inside and outside and then propose a new method of reading contemporary fiction. Otaku, a representative character that summarizes Japanese society and culture from the late 1980s to the early 2000s, was formed actively relating to the Japanese society which went through the unprecedently rapid growth and compact modernization-different from Koreans’ prejudice. Especially it is the noticeable element that the process of reorganization of cultural levels with various aspects has been naturally achieved through private commitment to realize individual desires rather than with a sense of duty as a national cultural subject. Most of all, Otaku’s passion, constant affection and their energy from intensive commitment to their respective objects loved was so powerful that they could change the cultural topography of a nation and that is the very reason we try to examine the current environment of Korean fiction and themethodology of Otakuu. First, looking through the effect of subculture on the environment of literature as well as the trait of cultural environment producing Otakus with the discussion over a typical Otakuu, we are going to approach the Korean fiction and its environment through the representing elements among the characteristics extracted from Otakus from various angles. The four characteristics are pretend play, commitment, content and sympathy. These are the representative properties of Otakus and ultimately the traits of contemporary fiction at the same time, besides, they are linked to their challenge. The way of Otakus that the content they produce by merely committing to their individual tastes in the virtual world have an effect on others based on sympathy is not different from the way that humans and human societies have improved their relations by the medium of art. In the end, this is to raise a question about how fiction could bring an influence to bear effectively about the real world, preserving an area of art, since fiction has the function with a stationary condition about sensation, calling attention, forming discourse or shock that other genres of culture offer to the public recently. Our suggestion through Otakus who mock the threatening economic theories and are engaged in their individual desires steadily was about the active and positive interests in something new. What we really need at the moment could be Otaku who has played a role of breaking new ground through the value of value conflict in every culture around the world.

        구경꾼과 광증 발현자의 거리 - 최인석 소설을 중심으로

          I think that “the type of character” in novels is important above all. So the repeated matter of character relates “how much” the character “belongs to” the author. Choi In-suk"s novels point out the matter like this. The purpose of this thesis is to study fantasy in Choi"s novels. Taking notice of space, character and theme in his novels, I will study fantasy which is the way of showing absurd reality through the grotesque character who has monstrosity, handicap and split personality.   At first, Choi expressed a cold smile and vanity about the society as he made the lookers-on keep the violent distance of insanity in his novels. Keeping the distance doubly and trebly between looker-on and the lunatic in this space explains that the distance of them was too violent. At that time the lookers-on were too cowardly to face the lunatic with the truth.   Even though the characters" pain is every sort, they borrow insanity and fantasy as the passageway overcoming their lives like hell. Normality desires abnormality. This is not only the way separating from reality but also the way uniting with reality. The lookers-on watch the lunatic and the lunatic watches the things which the lookers-on don"t see. Because fantasy was not the lookers-on"s space, they kept the distance of reality and fantasy. But soon they began to accept insanity and made utopia, where they used to be. The moment they realize that reality can"t harmonize with unreality “happily”, we can see insanity and fantasy in Choi"s novels. I think that insanity “with” or “with necessarily” the lookers-on"s glance between reality and fantasy which look far each other is the harmony of realism and fantasy that he says.

        괴물에 대한 기록 : 지괴의 교육학

        Every epics in the modem age has focused on human being again, and monsters in today’s novels are representing and symbolizing some nature of violent revelation in original desire of inner part of human being. In accordance with this, humans are defined as potential monsters in modem epics. In Catching a Ghost of the Village Headman in Bu-yeo by Kim, Tack-whan and Cabinet by Kim, Un-soo, writers show active reproduction of familiar monsters in myth using great contemporary senses. Also, the writers concentrate on the actual existence through the intense plot about monsters in modem pathological situation. These novels are testimonies of chosen chroniclers who can read the intention of monsters. People who wants to leave records on monsters are the ones desiring for “newie” whether it is problems of past which have been existing or portents of future happenings. Even though the distance between “I trust for certain” and “I cannot help trusting” still remains, epical state of first record is already determinated. Existing recorders cognize the aesthetic of weirdness in the rule of reality, and solve the grudge of monsters, and work as a reconciler drawing monsters to the safe territory. While, today’s recorders don’t hesitate to communicate with reality through monsters, and desire continually for confronting with monsters, and want to open the pathway which leads to the world of fantasy. One and only being that creates monsters and make monsters genuine ones appears when first eyewitness and first recorder are all the same, Therefore we have to always write and read about monsters and be responsible for conveyance. Because the story appearing in the middle of the epic creates another monster and complicated work can be repeated to understand whole story line. The fantasy is not the aspiration and nostalgia for actual reality, but the active deeds and playing that choose and construct various tangible realities.

        현대 환상 소설 연구 방법론

        If you consider the desire for stories is the true definition of epics, what you must declare is the characteristic of fantasy that epics contain. Especially, the epic that the fantasy operated in the law of ethics is reflected in means the essence of the epic itself and the possibility of drawing a new line against the surroundings. Therefore, it is necessary that we review fantasy and ethics at the same time as two axes applying to contemporary novels. The approach viewing fantasy epics from a point of ethics has the purpose of establishing an independent narrative characteristic of Korean fantasy epics. Searching for the origins of unique fantasy in Korean literature and applying the ethics inside Korean history and society to them will provide a head start for interpreting existing fantasy epics newly. Discussing fantasy, considering the aspects of producing contemporary epics, becomes synonymous with examining the identity of ideology of Korean modern literature closely. Fantasy is operated keeping an ideology in mind all the time. Thus, considering ethics of an author, readers and his times is essential to study fantasy. Of course, to read all modern fantasy epics with the methodology of ethics is also dangerous to form another prototype. Ethics in this article is a suggestion to read fantasy epics with a new reading method. The new possibility and the old value of Korean modern epics lie in the very desire for fantasy and the taboo against the desire based on human instinct to make stories endlessly, conclusively the ethics deciding the border of the taboo. Literature is born considering ethics for others or minority group at all times. At the same time it is made up of fantasies about others. Furthermore, it can be expanded to the unborn considering social ideology and cultural training again. Ironically fantasy began to fill the gap of unrealistic phenomenon to explain reality. This epic satiety is the ethics of fantasy and the reality of fantasy.

        한국 현대 환상 소설의 전략 -세계 접속과 실천 윤리

        대중의 문제가 자본주의와 직결되면서, 취향에 관한 접근 개념이 소비나 생산이라는 차원으로 확대되었지만, 언제나 예술이 향하는 누빔점에는 인간의 문제가 있었다. 이 중 소설이라는 장르가 오랜 시간 본래의 가치와 질문들을 크게 손상시키지 않을 수 있었던 것은 인간 삶에 관하여 재현과 제안이 가능한 장르라는 기초적인 성질을 위반하지 않기 위해 노력한 때문일 것이다. 하지만, 현재의 소설이 가장 주목하는 있는 인간의 내면의 다층적인 지점을 고려할 때 가장 중요한 것은 소통의 문제이다. 본고는 현재 한국의 환상 소설 또는 환상적 방법론이 문학이 사회적 진실과 관계 맺는 방법을 제안하는 차원과 문학 내적인 영역에서 미학에 관한 실천 윤리를 구현하는 차원으로 구분하여 다시 한 번 생각해 보는 데 첫 번째 의미가 있다. 이는 한국의 환상 소설사에서 가장 다양한 변혁을 꾀하는 최근 20년 이내의 사회학적 책무와 미학적 유희 사이에서 기획과 전략으로 기용되는 환상 서사의 측면을 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. Even though the matter of the public has been directly related to capitalism and the approaching concept of one `s taste has been expanded to the level of consumption and production, the matter of human being existed at the quilting point that art is oriented towards all the time. Among these the genre of the novel did not seriously damage the original values and questions for a long time and it was because they tried not to violate the fundamental qualities that the novel is the genre which is capable of reproducing and suggesting about human life. However, the multi-layered point of the inner world of a human being, that is to say, the aspect of humanity that the contemporary novels take notice of is not the human nature as it is the pre-existing literature pursued, but the product of the modified and developed realm in the situation literature exchanged influence on the society closely. What matters most here is the matter of communication. This research has been started from the point that this abnormal communication and concerns about the discord of communication contemporary novels are interested in is related to the strategy worthy enlarging the extension of the novels. Among them, I am going to mention the way contemporary novels approach the external field in literature through the strategy of fantasy, keeping the borrowing of the quality of fantasy is the most significantly noticeable project. This article carries the most important meaning in the way that we muse the question once more by dividing into two perspectives: First, from the perspective that contemporary Korean fantasy novels or the methodology of fantasy suggest the methods that literature relates to the truth of society. Second, from the perspective of realization of the ethics of practice of esthetics in the inner realm of literature. Through this I would like to look into the aspects of fantasy epics appointed as the project and strategy between sociological duty and esthetic amusement through the literary works written within the past 20 years that attempt the most changes in the history of Korean fantasy novels.

        대학 작문교육의 외연 확장을 위한 비평적 읽기의 제안

        현대 사회의 변화에 따라 ‘읽기’는 좀 더 대중화된 방식과 실용적인 의미를 내포하게 되었다. 하지만 대학 작문교육에서는 읽기교육이 간략하게 요약되거나 당위를 강조하는 차원에 머물고 있다. 의사소통의 세 가지 유형이자 단계인 ‘읽기-쓰기-말하기’가 순차적이고 유기적으로 학습자들에게 전달되기 위해서는 현대인들이 보편적으로 난독(難讀)에 시달리고 있다는 점을 인정하고 이를 극복할 필요성과 방법론을 제시해야 한다. 본고는 이러한 현재 작문교육에 전제되어야 할 읽기교육에 관한 문제를 제기하고 실제 수업에 적용할 수 있는 방법론을 제안하는 목적으로 시작되었다. 때문에 학습자가 가진 기존 읽기에 대한 부담감이나 두려움을 수정할 수 있도록 그 원인을 함께 찾아 해결하고, 다양하고 다층적인 영역의 읽기를 통해 새로운 방법론을 구축하는 데 중점을 두고 이러한 활동을 통해 학습자가 장르에 따라 읽기의 방법을 융통성 있게 전환할 수 있도록 하는 것에 주요한 목적이 있다. 우선, 진정한 읽기의 의미를 설명하고, 읽기의 필요성을 자연스럽게 받아들일 수 있도록 유도하기 위하여 실제 활용할 수 있는 읽기의 방법을 다양하게 제시할 필요가 있다. 이 중 본고가 논의하는 주요한 방법론으로서의 북배틀은 학습자가 가진 읽기에 대한 부담을 줄이고, 다양한 읽기를 시도해 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 하는 데 목적이 있다. 비슷한 주제를 다루고 있는 다양한 책들을 접하면서 일정한 평가기준을 통해서 평가하고 이해하는 과정을 경험하고, 같은 책이라 할지라도 다르게 읽는 방법에 대한 제안을 주고, 받으면서 다시-읽기가 가능하다는 점을 인식하게 되는 것이 이 수업의 최종적인 목적이다. 이는 궁극적으로는 독자의 내면을 충실히 채울 수 있는 가장 기본적인 문화훈련의 방식이라 할 수 있다. 이를 위해서 교수자는 학습자가 비평적이고 실천적인 읽기를 위해서는 반드시 책 또는 필자와 대화하는 능동적인 태도가 중요하다는 것을 인지하고, 실제 시도해 볼 수 있도록 지도할 때 진정한 작문교육의 외연이 확장될 수 있을 것이다. According to the change of modern society, ‘reading’ has included a little more popular way and practical meaning. However, in the university writing education, reading education is briefly summarized or remains in the level of emphasizing its needs. In order to convey ‘reading-writing-speaking’ skills, which are the three types and steps of communication, successively and organically we should admit our contemporaries are suffering dyslexia and suggest the necessity and methodology to overcome this problem. This study was started with the purpose to raise an issue of reading education that is required for the current writing education and propose the methodology to apply to during actual lessons. Therefore, the main objective of the study is that we find the causes and eliminate them so that a learner can overcome the existing fear and pressure of reading and help the learner change the reading method flexibly according to the genre through the activities, focusing on building a new methodology through the reading on various and multi-layered fields, First of all, it is necessary to propose multiple reading methods available in reality so as to explain the true sense of reading and lead a learner to accept the needs of reading naturally. The book battle, the methodology mainly discussed in this paper among them, is aimed for lightening the learner’s load for reading and give an opportunity to try multiple reading methods. The ultimate goal of this type of lesson is to experience the process of assessing and understanding different books through regular criteria, introduced to the different books dealing with similar topics, and recognize the possibility of re-reading, exchanging suggestions for different ways of reading even if it is the same book. This is the way of the most basic culture training that can fulfill a reader’s inner self eventually. For this when an instructor teaches a learner to recognize that it is important to have an active attitude having a talk with the book or the author certainly in the critical and practical reading, the scope of genuine writing education could be extended.

        현대 환상서사에 나타난 마녀 캐릭터 변화 분석

        The most effective way for both a narrative subject and readers to get absorbed in a narrative is interpellation a powerful "character". Based on historical background covering the East and the West, the characters in the fantasy narrative have been produced repeatedly through diverse media. And they have played a more significant role in forming their own atmospheres, absorbing readers into the situation set by an author. Among the objects interpellation in the fantasy narratives, with the diverse history about cross combination, it is a witch that is the typical character categorized with its powerful devilishness. On this account, looking back on the witch's real history reveals social vulnerability of the feudal ages 조 ether in the East or in the West. At the same time, it will be the work tracing back the conspiracy asked for until the strong interpellation the object turned out real horror and cruelty through the effect on fantasy narratives by the psychological irony of the ruling classes approaching devilishness. This paper covers the two works that hold the prototype of a witch character and the three novels that showed a possibility of the new interpellation. All of them were the works after 2000. Of course, we cannot clearly confirm the process of how a witch character changes into a positive and individual subject in modern narratives after it used to be a signaling subject and be alienated through violent unanimity yet. However, the process of searching for a witch's another nam disintegrates the ruling description and suggests the possibility of escaping from the limitation of a chronic character at the same time. Above all, the fact that the aspect of dislocated interpellation proceeds parallel with its prototypical symbol can be a metonym of nomadism, a basic characteristic of fantasy. Nomadism means what never settle down in a certain place or at a certain moment and what can combine with any objects easily and create a hybrid. Such possibility is the most powerful and positive function of fantasy narratives. The way the witch character, whose position is firm in the fantasy narrative, gets its more diffused position is that it creates unsettled images ceaselessly based on its primitive vitality.

        본고는 채만식의 「소망」에 드러난 목소리를 구조적으로 분석함으로써 근대 지식인의 소명의식과 우월의식의 교차점에서 드러나는 병리학적 양태와 당시 지식인들이 가질 수밖에 없었던 강박증적 환상을 고찰하고자 한다. 더불어 그들을 최측근에서 바라보는 아내의 시선과 목소리를 통해 좀 더 세밀한 내면을 들여다보는 데 목적이 있다. 기존의 지식인 소설에서 엄연하게 드러나는 환상성과 정신 병리학적 측면에 대한 연구가 미진한 점과 리얼리즘과 풍자라는 이질적인 경계를 잘 유지하는 채만식의 소설이라는 점에 기대어 보고자 한다. 본고는 파시즘의 외부세계나, 아둔한 쁘띠부르주아지들의 속물적 목소리에서 아내의 발화를 분리하고자 했다. 남편이라는 세계가 병들지 않기를 바라고 적극적으로 그 해결방안을 찾는 아내의 행동을 ‘빈처’가 내쉬는 한숨과 같은 것으로 보면 이 작품의 독특한 들숨은 사라지고 만다. 또한 「레디메이드 인생」에서 보여준 지식인의 외부 세계의 은폐 노출 전략을 모방하고 학습하는 과정이 발전적으로 이 소설에 나타난다고 믿는 평가 역시 본고는 조금 뒤틀어 보기를 권한다. 「소망」의 남편이 만약 정신병자를 위장하고 있다면 그것은 훗날을 도모하는 또 다른 큰 뜻이 있어서가 아니라, 지식인 폐기에 있다고 볼 수 있다. 하지만 이 지식은 “책 위의 지식”이다. 뜨거운 정서향 방위에 흥건했던 땀 위에 있던 “축 늘어진 죽은 지식”이다. 온전한 정신으로는 지식인을 폐기할 수 없었던 소명 의식이 그를 미치게 만들었을 수도 있으며, 잠시나마 미친 상태를 유지할 때야만 죄책감이나 망설임 없이 지식인의 허위의식을 벗어 버릴 수 있었을 것이다. 하지만 이 역시 당시 지식인들을 누르고 있던-그것이 타의이거나 자의이거나 상관없이-소명의식이 얼마나 무거웠는가를 보여주는 해석으로 통하기 마련이다. 그래서 그는 싸전 앞을 지남으로써 지식인의 무의미한 책임감과 의무감에서 “해방”되는 “유쾌”함을 경험하게 된다. 비판적 지식인으로 살아간다는 것이 불가능해지면서 생활인으로서의 개인만이 더욱 절박한 모습을 한 채 남게 된다. 이 소설은 지식이 있다고 믿었던 곳에는 정작 욕망만이 존재하고 있었다는 사실을 솔직하게 드러내 보이고 있다. It looks like a repetition of the same theme with the same work. This paper is aim to analysis the A Little Madness 少妄. To the most important A Little Madness is stand of the basis of the antagonism between the husband and the wife, and the wife’s unilateral statement This antagonism is a intellect·critical will mental·physical health, public discourse, private discourse. And Several episodes mean the impossibility of the mutual understanding because of the concealment transformation of a conflict, and ostentation of critical will. Third, It is the intellectual’s confession of “liberation” out of the intellectual’s self consciousness, sense of duty, to bind the public discourse and the private discourse into a “thrill, pleasure.” This novel is aim to declare abolition of the intellectual’s critical will, have a expectation a sympathize recognition about the declaration. But as a writer who were living in colony, the problems that Man-Sik, Chae had were far more complex than Swift, so the character of Chae’s satiric works became more unique. Man-Sik, Chae’s most literary works, more or less, have the satiric characteristics, and they can be appraised differently one another according to the degree of successful figuration of the satiric characteristics.
