The subfamily Pteromalinae (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) was represented in South Korea as 46 species belonging to 30 genera. In this paper, 25 species and 13 genera are recorded for the first time from South Korea. A checklist of South Korean Pteromalinae, a key to species and genera, and illustrations of diagnosis are provided.
First Record of Metapelma Westwood (Hymenoptera: Eupelmidae: Neanastatinae) from South Korea

Neanastatinae Kalina, 1984 is reported for the first time from South Korea with two newly recognized species of Metapelma Westwood, 1835: M. beijingensis Yang and M. pacificum Nikol'skaya. Also, male of M. pacificum is discovered and diagnosed for the first time. Key to South Korean species of Metapelma, diagnoses and photographs of the diagnostic characters are provided along with a key to species of the genus. 큰납작벼룩좀벌속(신칭)의 두 미기록종을 포함한 납작벼룩좀벌아과(신칭)를 한국산으로 처음 보고한다: 큰납작벼룩좀벌(Metapelma beijingensis Yang)(신칭) 그리고 긴꼬리큰납작벼룩좀벌(Metapelma pacificum Nikol'skaya)(신칭). 또한, 긴꼬리큰납작벼룩좀벌의 수컷 개체가 처음으로 발견되어 보고한다. 한국산 큰납작벼룩좀벌속의 검색표, 진단 그리고 진단형질에 대한 사진을 제공한다.

Chlorocytus spicatus (Walker) (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) is first confirmed as a larval ectoparasitoid ofthe cabbage seedpod weevil (CSPW), Ceutorhynchus obstrictus (Marsham) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), onrapeseed (Brassica napus L., Brassicaceae) in Korea. The parasitism of this ectoparasitoid for the larvae ofCSPW maximally was shown to be 12.5% on May 24 in Suncheon, Jeonnam Province, and 12.82% on June12 in Andong, Gyeongbuk Province, when the damage rates of pods by the CSPW exceeded 30%,respectively. The pupal period of this ectoparasitoid was about 7 days and 6 days in females and males,respectively; the females had a life span of about 11 days; and the sex ratio was more than 4 females to 1male. To aid their identification, we provide a detailed description supplemented by the scanningelectron microphotographs of external structures and also present several biological data of itsectoparasitoid.
Ten newly recorded species of insect on Dokdo Island, South Korea

A survey of insect fauna on Dokdo Island was conducted by Yeungnam University from 2009 to 2016. The survey locations were the two islands of Dokdo Island (i.e., East and West Islands), located in the East Sea of South Korea. As a result of the survey, we identified five orders, 20 families and 27 species including 10 species newly recorded on Dokdo Island, of which Eupelmus australiensis (Girault) is recorded for the first time in South Korea. In combination with the results of previous surveys made from 1981 to 2016, the insect fauna of Dokdo Island is now known to consist of 10 orders, 77 families and 164 species (and 29 additional undetermined species). In this paper, we list the insect fauna on Dokdo Island and present photographs of 10 species with brief taxonomic notes of a eupelmid species.

The tribe Trigonoderini (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) contains six genera (Gastracanthus Westwood, Janssoniella Kerrich, Miscogasteriella Girault, Platygerrhus Thomson, Plutothrix Förster and Trigonoderus Westwood). This tribe is recorded from South Korea for the first time. Two new species, Janssoniella albiclava Tselikh & Lee sp. nov. from South Korea and J. magna Tselikh & Lee sp. nov. from South Korea and the South Far East of Russia, are described. Eight species (Gastracanthus acutus (Kamijo), G. nigrescens Kamijo, Janssoniella intermedia Hedqvist, Miscogasteriella sulcate (Kamijo), Plutothrix scrobicula Kamijo, P. trifasciata (Thomson), Trigonoderus fraxini Yang and T. nigrocephalus Kamijo) are recorded from South Korea for the first time. The keys for identification of the Eastern–Palearctic species of Janssoniella and Gastracanthus are given and photos of diagnostic characters of the new species are provided.
