        치과대학 예방치학 교과목 교육과정 개편 후 강의,실습평가 결과 변화

        To improve effective curriculum of preventive dentistry instruction at dental school, the authors developed the evaluation questionnaire of ``preventive dentistry`` subject in the sophomore class. 252 dental students of Chosun University responded to 36 items with a 5-point-Likert response format after the close of a school term at year 2007, 2008 and 2010. The questionnaires were about general feature of instruction, content of instruction, loads of task, attitude of students to the instruction and the practice exercise. The evaluation was performed at the end of final term periods from 2007, 2008, 2010. The results were as follows. 1. The respondents were generally satisfied with general processing or instruction and contents of preventive dentistry instruction. 2. The respondents took a relatively negative view of attitude of themselves on instruction. 3. More provocative instruction is needed in preventive dentistry instruction and practice. 4. To improve preventive dentistry instruction, development of problem-based learning package at dental schools could be helpful.

        요양보호사의 기저귀위생간호 교육프로그램 개발 및 효과

        본 연구는 요양보호사를 위한 기저귀위생간호 교육프로그램을 개발하고, 기저귀 위생간호에 관한 지식과 수행능력에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위함이다. 연구설계는 비동등성 대조군 전후 유사 실험연구이다. 충청남도 Y군의 장기요양기관에 근무하는 요양보호사 중 실험군 25명과 대조군 25명의 총 50명을 대상자로 선정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Window 22 version을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 기저귀 위생간호 교육프로그램은 총 4회기로 구성되었다. 교육프로그램의 실험 결과, 기저귀 위생간호 지식은 사전점수 (M±SD=4.64±0.23)에 비해 사후점수(M±SD=4.88±0.23)가 증가하였으나, 두 군 간에 통계적으로는 유의하지 않았다(t=1.253, p=.216). 기저귀 위생간호 수행능력은 사전점수(M±SD=1.86±0.18)에 비해 사후점수 (M±SD=2.89±0.15)가 증가하였고, 두 군 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=12.694, p=.001). 따라서, 개발된 기저귀 위생간호 교육프로그램은 요양보호사의 기저귀 위생간호 실무능력을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to develop a diaper hygienic care education program for caregivers and to investigate the effects of the diaper hygienic care knowledge and performance ability on diaper hygienic care. A quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group pretest-post test design was conducted. The subjects for the study 50 caregivers working in long-term care facilities in Y-gun, Chungcheongnam-do were selected from the 25 experimental group and the 25 control group. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Window 22 version. diaper hygienic care education program consisted of 4 sessions in total. According to results of the education program, the diaper hygienic care knowledge increased after the post-test(M ± SD = 4.88 ± 0.23) compared to the pre-test score(M ± SD = 4.64 ± 0.23), but not be statistically significant between the two groups(t = 1.253 , p = .216). The performance ability of diaper hygienic care was significantly increased (M ± SD = 2.89 ± 0.15) compared to the pre - score(M ± SD = 1.86 ± 0.18) and there was a statistically significant difference(t = 12.694, p =. 001). Thus, the developed diaper hygienic care education program is expected to contribute to improve nursing hygienic care ability of nursing caregivers.

        더덕 부위별 세포벽 물질의 페놀성화합물과 항산화 활성

        더덕의 육질과 껍질의 부위별 세포벽 물질(CWM)로부터 uronic acid, 총 당, 비섬유성 중성당, 페놀성 화합물 함량 및 항산화 활성을 측정하였다. 더덕의 육질과 껍질의 uronic acid와 중성당의 비는 4, 6이었다. 총 당 함량은 육질과 껍질에서 각각 788.6, 824.9μg/mg CWM이었다. 주요 비섬유성 중성당은 galactose와 arabinose 였다. 더덕 CWM으로부터 분석된 주요 페놀성 화합물은 vanillic acid, p-OH-benzaldehyde, vanillin, ferulic acid 및 8-O-4' diferulic acid 였다. 이들 중 p-OH-benzaldehyde, vanillin, 8-O-4' diferulic acid는 더덕에서 처음으로 동정된 것으로 인삼의 세포벽 페놀성 화합물 조성과 유사하였다. 더덕의 껍질 AIR에 함유된 8-O-4' diferulic acid의 함량은 56.1 μg/g CWM이었다. 더덕의 CWM로부터 얻은 ethanol 분획, ethanol 분획의 ethanol-NaOH 분획, ethanol 분획 후 잔사로부터 얻은 AIR 분획의 항산화 활성의 크기는 ethanol-NaOH 분획이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 AIR 분획, ethanol 분획의 순으로 나타났다. This study measured the amounts of uronic acid, total sugars, non-cellulosic neutral sugars, phenolic compounds as well as antioxidants activity in cell wall materials (CWM) derived from different parts of deodeok (Codonopsis lanceolata). The values of the uronic acid (UA): neutral sugars (NS) ratio in polymers extracted from the CWM of the flesh and skin were 4 and 6, respectively. The total sugar contents of the flesh and skin were 788.6 and 824.9 μg/mg of CWM, respectively. Galactose and arabinose were the main noncellulosic neutral sugars. The chemical structure of five phenolic compounds from the CWM were analyzed and identified as vanillic acid, p-OH-benzaldehyde, vanillin, ferulic acid, and 8-O-4' diferulic acid by HPLC spectral data. Among them, p-OH-benzaldehyde, vanillin, and 8-O-4' diferulic acid were the first compounds identified from the deodeok. The content of 8-O-4' diferulic acid in the skin CWM was 56.1 μg/g AIR (alcohol insoluble residue). The ethanol-NaOH fractions from CWM had the highest oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) activities, followed by the AIR fractions and ethanol fractions.

        솔잎추출물이 고지방식이를 급여한 흰쥐의 혈청, 간장의 효소 및 간조직구조에 미치는 영향

        솔잎추출물 급여가 고지방식이를 섭취한 흰쥐의 혈중 GOT, GPT 활성, 간장의 항산화효소 및 간장조직에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 SD계 흰쥐에 고지방식이와 함께 추출용매 대비 솔잎건조분말을 3, 6% 함유하도록 하고 물과 70% 아세톤으로 추출하여 얻은 열수추출물과 70% 아세톤추출물을 섭취시켜 대조군(control), 3% 열수추출물 급여군(WE-3), 6% 열수추출물 급여군(WE-6), 3% 아세톤추출물 급여군(AE-3) 및 6% 아세톤추출물 급여군(AE-6)의 5군으로 나누어 실험군에는 고지방식이와 함께 대조군의 물대신 각 솔잎추출물을 급여하여 4주간 사육하였다. GOT는 군간 유의차가 없었으나 GPT는 대조군에 비해 솔잎추출물 투여군이 낮게 나타났다. SOD 활성은 대조군에 비해 전 실험군에서 높게 나타났으며, 특히 AE-6군에서는 유의하게 높은 값을 나타내었다. Catalase의 활성도도 SOD와 비슷한 경향을 나타내었으나 각 군에 따른 유의차는 없었다. 과산화물가는 WE-3 및 AE-6군에서 낮은 함량을 나타내었으나 통계적인 유의성은 없었다. 간장의 조직학적 조사에서 솔잎추출물 WE-6군에서는 병변이 나타났다. 이상의 결과로써 솔잎추출물의 급여는 간 기능 개선효과가 있는 것으로 생각된다. The effects of pine needle extracts on lipid contents and antioxidative enzyme activities in liver of rat were evaluated. Thirty male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups and fed high fat diets for four weeks. Each group was administered with pine needle extract in the following doses : control, water ; WE-3, hot water extract(3% PN) ; WE-6, hot water extract(6% PN) ; AE-3, acetone extract(3% PN) ; AE-6, acetone extract(6% PN). The results obtained from the experiment were as follows : GOT activities were not significantly different among experimental groups but GPT activities were significantly low in the experimental groups compared to the control group. Liver superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity of pine needle extract administered groups was higher than that of control group. Catalase activities of liver had a similar tendency to SOD activities, but were not significantly different among the groups. Liver TBARS of WE-3 WE and AE-6 groups were slightly lower than those of other groups. Microscopic observation of liver tissue revealed that pine needle extracts increased cellular swelling, which was markedly increased in WE-6 group compared with control group.

        Pepsin에 의한 Zein 가수분해물의 항균활성

        효소에 의한 옥수수 단백가수분해물의 천연항균제로서의 이용가능성을 조사하기 위하여 zein 단백질에 단백 가수분해 효소를 작용시켜 얻어진 가수분해물의 항균활성을 측정하고 membrane filter로 한외 여과하여 항균활성이 가장 높은 분획을 HPLC로 분취한 후 항균활성을 측정하고 MIC, 각종 세균에 대한 생육저해농도를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. Zein 단백질에 6종의 단백분해효소를 작용시켜 제조한 가수분해물 중 pepsin으로 작용시킨 것이 항균활성이 가장 높았다. Membrane filter에 의하여 여과한 가수분해물의 항균활성은 M.W. 10,000~30,000에서 가장 높았으며 121℃에서 10분간 처리하여도 항균활성에 변화가 없는 열안정성이 매우 높았고 MIC는 2.5 ㎎/mL이었다. HPLC로 분리한 항균성 peptide의 N-말단 아미노산 조성은 leucine, glutamic acid, proline, phenylalanine, aspartic acid, argenine 순이었다. 분자량 10,000~30,000의 가수분해 동결 건조물을 3 ㎎/mL 농도로 nutrient broth 배지에 첨가하고 37℃에서 배양하였을 때 크게 생육이 저해되었다. A study was carried out to produce antimicrobial peptides from zein treated with proteases of six kinds. Among the proteases of six kinds, zein hydrolysate treated with pepsin showed the highest antimicrobial activity. The zein hydrolysate with pepsin was fractionated with membrane filter (30,000 10,000 and 3,000 molecular weight cut-off) and antimicrobial activity was measured for each fractions. Antimicrobial activity appeared greatly in the fraction below 3,000 (molecular weight cut-off). The fraction was re-fractionated by HPLC and substances of two peaks collected as a sample to measure antimicrobial activity. All of both peaks showed the antimicrobial activity but 1st peak exhibited a consistently higher antimicrobial activity than 2nd peak. Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) were between 2.5 and 3.0 ㎎/mL. The peptide was heat-stable since antimicrobial activity was maintained after treated with heat for 20 min at 121℃. N-terminal amino acid sequence of peptide fractionated by HPLC was leucine, glutamic acid, proline, phenylalanine, aspartic acid and argenine. These results indicated that peptide isolated from zein hydrosate with pepsin can use as a natural preservative ingredient in food industry.

        일반모와 미세모의 형태에 따른 인조치면세균막 제거 효과

        Objectives. Toothbrushing is the most fundamental self-help oral care, essential for the removal of dental plaque and food debris which can lead to caries or periodontal diseases. In order for patients to effectively select ideal toothbrush and maintain oral health, this study investigated the efficacy of different toothbrushes available on the market in the removal of dental plaque. Methods. A total of 156 pieces, from each of the three different types of standard manual toothbrushes and three slim-bristle type brushes for adults were randomly selected to be used as experiment units. The bristles of the different brushes were analyzed through a number of different processes. Data analysis was performed with Kruskal Wallis test and Man-Whitney`s U-test, Multiple linear regression at the significance level of alph=0.05. Results. The average surface area from which the artificial dental plaque was removed using the standard manual toothbrushes was 116.41 mm2 and using the slim bristle toothbrushes it was 121.82 mm2. The average buccal surface area from which the artificial dental plaque was removed using the standard manual toothbrushes was 86.93 mm2, and 88.11 mm2 using the slim bristle the slim bristle toothbrushes. The average dental sub-gingival area from which the artificial dental plaque was removed using the standard manual toothbrushes was 4.95 mm2 and 5.32 mm2 for the slim bristle toothbrushes. The average proximal surface area from which artificial dental plaque was removed using the standard manual toothbrushes was 24.79 mm2, and 28.38 mm2 for slim bristle ones. A statistically significant difference between the standard manual toothbrushes and the slim bristle was detected in the proximal surface (p<0.05). For the group consisting of the standard manual toothbrush, It was found that the smaller the difference in the length of implant brush, the greater the amount of plaque that was removed (p<0.05). Conclusions. According to the findings of the study, the factors influencing effective toothbrushing and brush designed indicate a need for further studies.
