Objectives : It has been reported that the presence of a pharmacologically inactive foreign substance, polystyrene latex bead, in subarachnoid space activates a non-specific immunological response and elicits arterial narrowing. Recently the activation of potassium($K^+$) channels may be of benefit in relieving cerebral vasospasm. The present study examined the effects of systemic administration of a ATP-sensitive $K^+$ channel activator, cromakalim, on the polystyrene latex bead-induced cerebral vasospasm. Methods : The spasm models similar to that caused by subarachnoid blood injection were created by injection of bead into rabbit cisterna magna. Intravenous injections of cromakalim were administered twice daily(bid) 30 minutes after induction of vasospasm. Animals were killed by perfusion-fixation 2 days after vasospasm. Basilar arteries were removed and sectioned, and the luminal cross-sectional areas were measured. Results : Injection of bead elicited an arterial constriction, reducing arterial diameter to 33.3% of resting tone. Cromakalim inhibited bead-induced constriction at a dose of 0.3mg/kg(Mann-Whitney test, p<0.01). Conclusion : These results support the concept that the cellular events triggered by inactivation of ATP-sensitive $K^+$ channels are responsible for the pathogenesis of vasospasm. The findings also indicate that cromakalim represents a potential therapeutic agents for the treatment of cerebral vasospasm.
소목(蘇木)이 산화적 손상 및 Raw 264.7 cell과 HUVEC에서의 염증 유관 인자에 미치는 영향

Objectives : This study investigated the impact of Caesalpinia sappan L. on oxidative damage and inflammatory relevant factor in RAW 264.7 cells and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Methods : We determined whether fractionated EtOH extracts of Caesalpinia sappan L. (CSL) inhibit free radical generation such as 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) and pro-inflammatory cytokines in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated RAW 264.7 cells and HUVEC. Result : 1. DPPH removal capacity was increased by CSL. 2. LPS-induced ROS, and NO inhibitory capacity were increased by CSL. 3. LPS-induced cell death of Raw 264.7 cells was decreased by CSL. 4. The amount of cytokine generation in Raw 264.7 cell was decreased significantly by CSL. 5. The amount of cytokine generation in HUVEC was decreased significantly by CSL. Conclusions : These results suggest that CSL supplement may attenuate oxidative stress by elevated antioxidative processes, and suppress inflammatory mediator activation.

본 연구는 최근 논의되는 지방행정체제 개편 논의에 대하여 지역 주민들의 자기결정권 존중이라는 관점에서 부산광역시를 중심으로 대안을 모색하고자 하였다. 분석결과 부산시민들과 전문가들은 현 정치권에서 주도하는 지방행정체제의 개편 내용과 추진 일정 및 방식에 대하여 모두 반대하는 것으로 나타났다. 자치구의 통합범위에 대해서는 신중한 태도를 보였으며, 부산시에 인접한 진해, 김해, 양산시 등 접경지역의 편입에 대해서도 수용적인 입장을 보였다. 이상과 같은 조사결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 대안을 제시하였다. 먼저, 행정체제개편은 광역단체의 통합이나 자치구의 통폐합 쪽으로 방향을 잡아야 하며 자치구는 이를 폐지하기보다 자율성을 높이는 쪽으로 개선해야 한다. 부산시에는 적극적인 경계조정이 필요하며, 진해시와 양산시가 우선적인 대상지역이 될 수 있다. 마지막으로 부산시 자치구의 통폐합에 대해서는 단기적으로 중, 동구 수준의 통합을 하되, 장기적으로는 주민생활권과 경제권 등을 동시에 고려하는 대안을 수립해야 한다. The objective of this study is to find the substitutes of decentralization Structure reform for increasing local autonomy in Korea. In order to do this we formulated an analysis model and investigated attitudes of Busan citizens and experts by questionnaire research. According to the research, the following suggestions were found: First, the direction of decentralization Structure reform must be oriented to increasing local autonomy instead of abolishing lower tier government as like district(Gu) in metropolitan city. Second, positive boundary coordinating policies are needed in Busan metropolitan city and its focus may be to encompass parts of boundaries of Jinhae city or Yangsan city.

비순차적 정보접근이 가능한 하이퍼텍스트 시스템의 제작에 대한 저작작의 부담을 덜어주기 위해서는 링크 형성과정이 용이해야 한다. 더구나 기존의 하이퍼 텍스트는 링크를 생성할 때 작성된 하이퍼 텍스의 구조에 따라 정해진 정보탐색이 이루어질 뿐이다. 그러나 본 연구는 하이퍼 링크에 가중치를 부여함으로써 링크 탐색 history에 따라 다음으로 링크되는 정보 노드를 다르게 했다. 이렇게 함으로써 CAI 저작 시스템에서 코스웨어 제작에 별도의 인공지능 모듈을 구현할 필요없이 학습자가 탐색한 정보노드에 따라 학습자의 수준에 맞게 다음 노드로 링크되는 CAI 코스웨어를 제작 가능하게 함으로써 학습 효과를 높이게 한다.
고지방 식이로 유발된 고지혈증 동물 모델에서 사물활혈탕(四物活血湯)의 효과 연구

Objectives : This study was undertaken to investigate the effects of Samulhwalhyeol-tang (SM) in a hyperlipidemic animal model induced by a high-fat diet using diverse biological methods. Methods : This study was to determine whether fractionated EtOH extracts of SM inhibit reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) in RAW 264.7 cells. Hyperlipidemia was induced by a high-fat diet fed for 6 weeks. Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglyceride, glucose, liver function, cholesterol gene revelation control efficiency, and histologic change of liver were measured after oral administration of SM. Results : 1. Compared to the control group, ROS production (%) and NO production (%) were decreased significantly by SM. 2. Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglyceride were decreased significantly by SM. 3. HDL cholesterol was increased significantly by SM. 4. Rats' body weight and glucose were decreased significantly by SM. 5. AST, ALP were decreased significantly by SM. 6. In histopathologic examination, fatty liver and fiver fibrosis were inhibited, almost eliminated as round of fat was observed in the liver. Conclusions : SM would appear that effective in the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, other cardiovascular diseases, fatty liver and nephrotic syndrome caused by hyperlipidemia.

부산광역시를 중심으로 BSC와 예산의 연계과정에서 나타나는 개선과제를 모색하기 위하여 공무원을 대상으로 인터뷰와 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석결과 다음과 같은 사실이 발견되었다. 첫째, 담당자들의 “예산연계에 대한 이해도”는 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났지만, “부서 관리자의 이해와 지지” 수준은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예산과의 연계를 위한 “현행 시스템구조의 변화 필요성”, “BSC와 예산 시기조정의 어려움” 역시 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 분석결과에 의하면 선행연구에서 강조되는 예산연계에 따른 시기조정의 문제는 적은 것으로 나타났으나, 성과지표와 예산구조의 개선을 포함하는 시스템구조의 측면에서는 근본적인 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 그 밖에 “부서 관리자의 이해와지지” 수준이 낮은 점과 현행 사업예산제도의 구조적 문제점도 개선과제로 나타났다. 이러한 과제의 대안으로는 담당자의 범위를 넘어선 전체 구성원에 대한 체계적인 교육을 제안하였다. The purpose of this study is to examine problems and to seek alternatives in introducing a system of conntecting Performance Management(BSC) to Budget Management in Busan Metropolitan City(BMC), Korea. Information was obtained by surveys from officials of Busan Metropolitan City. According to the studies and surveys the following problems were found out in the BMC: First, time schedule matching would be difficult in the process of connecting BSC to budget management. Second, improvement of performance indicators and budget structure were needed. Third, introducing cost accounting methods including B/C analysis were needed. To improve the connecting model of the BMC alternatives proposed as below: First, the city authority concerned have to declare clear process and time schedule of connecting system. Second, constructing numbers of the indicators within the limits of twenty at all of the agencies(departments) and changing the indicators to result oriented direction would be needed to improve the performance indicators. Finally, periodical education to officials and improving computer system for the connections would be needed.
