In this study, Corynebacterium glutamicum biomass generated from full-scale lysine fermentation process was tested for the removal of cadmium from synthetic wastewater. Most of the wastes have been treated via sea dumping. The equilibrium sorption isotherms determined at different solution pH indicated that the uptake of cadmium increased significantly with increasing pH. And during sorption of cadmium the solution pH increased, indicating that protons in the biomass are exchanged with cadmium ions. In addition, the kinetics of cadmium reduction by protonated C. glutamicum biomass were studied under various pH values and initial concentrations of cadmium and biomass. For thepractical purpose, desorption capacity and effects of impurities were examined. Consequently, the protonated C. glutamicum biomass could be considered as a potentially useful sorbent to remove cadmium from cadmium-bearing wastewater.

We were carried out to measure corrosion potential corrosion current density. corrosion rate and corrosion resistance on polarization curves in variation temperatures for the amorphous N_157 P film. The results were particularly examined to identify the influences affecting the corrosion potential including various conditions such as temperatures concentrations and pH. The potentiodynamics parameters of the corrosion were obtained using a Tafel plot The charge transfer coefficient (α) was determined from the Tafel equation and the α was 0.99 in 7×10^-3 sodium chloride aqueous solution

본 연구에서는 지하시설물의 효율적인 관리방안을 제시하기 위하여 광주광역시에서 개발한 'GIS를 이용한 상수도관망관리시스템'의 구축과정 및 운영상황을 검토 분석한 결과 시스템 구성에서 송배수관조회, 설비관리, 지번조회 등을 관로관리와 누수관리에 적용하여 시험한 결과 실용적으로 사용할 수 있다고 판단되었으며, 지번조회를 이용한 주소찾기는 상수도시설 자료관리의 업무능률향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 전문 기술인력의 확보양성, 막대한 투자재원의 안정적 확보, GIS 관련업체 이해 당사자의 갈등 등의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 GIS S/W 개발 전문기술과 Know-How 필요, GIS의 Database 구축 예산과 시간의 확보, GIS 관련업체 이해 당사자의 갈등해소 등의 대책이 수립되어야 할 것으로 판단되었다. GIS에 의한 상수도관망 시설의 전산관리시스템 구축으로 노후관 교채, 누수탐사 등 점진적 시행으로 연간 40 - 50억원의 예산절감 및 맑고 깨끗한 물공급의 효과를 거양하였다. This study deals with the effective management system on the underground facilities by Geographic Information System (GIS). For this purpose, "Management System on the Water Supply Network by GIS in Kwangju" was analylized. Following results were obtained in this study. This system could be practically used for the inquiry of water supply and distribution pipes, check valves, pipe equipments and parcel identification numbers. Inquiry of addresses using the parcel identification numbers were effective for the database mangement system of the water supply facilities. The poits at issue for the performance of this study were the security and education of experts, the security of revenue source, the discord between GIS companies concerned. Establishments of GIS software technologies and database systems, and the settlement between GIS companies were required for the solution of these poits. Development of computer management systems on the water supply network by GIS enabled the replacement of outworn pipes and the leakage inquiry techniques in pipes.
Dye biosorption from an aqueous solution by Corynebacterium glutamicum biomass

본 연구는 Corynebacterium glutamicum biomass를 이용하여 Reactive Orange 16, Reactive Blue 4, Reactive Yellow 2, Reactive Red 4, Methylene Blue, Disperse Orange 11에 대한 흡착실험을 하였다. 반응성 염료는 pH 1∼3에서 최적 pH를 갖으며 500 mg/l이하의 농도에서는 90∼95%의 흡착률을 보였다. 그러나 Methylene Blue는 pH 변화에 상관없이 거의 흡착이 이루어지지 않았으며 Disperse Orange 11은 단지 Methylene Blue보다 조금 더 많은 양이 흡착되었다. 이는 C. glutamicum biomass의 표면이 양이온을 띠고 있고 반응성 염료는 음이온을 띠어 서로 잘 반응하여 흡착이 쉽게 이루어 지는것으로 보인다. Methylene Blue는 양이온을 띠고 Disperse Orange 11은 이온을 띠지 않아 biomass와 거의 반응하지 않는 것으로 생각되어 진다. 그리고 반응성 염료는 pH 6∼8에서 거의 95%가 탈착되었다. 결론적으로 C. glutamicum biomass는 반응성 염료에 대해 높은 흡/탈착률을 보이므로 반응성 염료와 같이 음이온을 띠는 염료를 제거하는 흡착제로써 잠재적 가치가 매우 클 것으로 기대된다.

It was found that the factor of behavior in the retaining wall of reinforced earth on poor subsoil was influenced by load increment, consolidation time and pore-water pressure. Finite element analysis was conducted by using SAGECRISP program for the behavior analysis of poor subsoil and the retaining wall of reinforced earth in this theory. Firstly, the validity of replacement method was examined for the improvement of excessive displacement of the retaining wall of reinforced earth. Secondly, the influence in the ground behavior of the vertical space of reinforced materials on the back of retaining wall was analyzed. Lastly, the width and the depth of appropriate replacement in appling replacement method were suggested. As the result of this study, following conclusion was got. Replacement method take effect on the behavior improvement of the retaining wall of reinforced earth because the case of replacement method(width: 8m, depth: 5m) in the retaining wall of reinforced earth on poor subsoil shows that improvement effect of vertical displacement is 2 ~ 3cm in the upper direction. 7.5 ~ 26.2cm in the lower direction, 11.6 ~ 26.4cm in the vertical displacement on the back of retaing wall and 7.1 ~ 8.6% in shearing strain. The improvement of horizontal displacement was not great because △h_(h)/H maintained similar value despite the increase of replacement width.
