In this paper I tried to re-examine the inscriptions on the flagpole support and the 12<sup>th</sup> century stele of Anyang-sa temple. The former has been regarded to be a record of the building of the flagpole supports of Jungcho-sa temple, the former temple existed at Anyans-sa site before its foundation in the early 10th century. But considering the facts that the passage was not written in a proper classical Chinese but in a Korean style abnormal Chinese and that there is no temple inscription on the stone artifacts showing the name of the temple, it would be more appropriate to understand the Chinese characters of Jungcho中初 as corresponding to Korean expression of ‘at the time firstly’ rather than to regard as the name of a temple. And the numbers of the man-power and the working period in the inscription look excessive for a work to build just one set of flagpole supports. The inscription must have been recorded after a general restoration of the temple including the addition of the flagpole supports. The latter, one part of the 12<sup>th</sup> century stele reserved in the form of rubbing, has been usually regarded as the epigraph for the 7 story brick pagoda of Anyang-sa temple. But the structure and style of the epigraph does not match to the stele for a pagoda. A passage in the epigraph which tells the protagonist’s family and hometown shows that it must be a stele for an eminent monk who practiced at the temple. Considering the fact that the rubbing of a part of the stele for National Preceptor Bojo of Anyang-sa was written by the same person and erected in the same year, the two rubbings must belong to the same stele. Investigation of the several 17<sup>th</sup> and 18<sup>th</sup> century geographic materials shows that the stele was located in the mountain hermitage a little departed from the Anyang-sa temple, where still remain a stone turtle base and some parts of a stone stupa for a monk. The stele for National Preceptor Bojo was an epigraph for a 12<sup>th</sup> century Yogacara buddhist scholar monk of Anyang-sa who had been installed as National Preceptor. The real name of the Preceptor was unknown, but Deokchang, a Preceptor during King Yejong or Deogyeon, a Preceptor during King Injong is very possible candidate. As the stele for a National Preceptor had usually been erected at the home temple of him, especially in the school of Goryeon Yogacara Buddhism, Precepto Bojo must have studied and practiced at Anyana-sa temple in young days. The temple was also his retire place, where he prepared his last with his disciples. With this re-understanding on the flagpole support inscription and the stele for National Preceptor Bojo, we can broaden the understanding of the history of Anyang-sa temple. Anyang-sa had been an important temple since the early period of Unified Shilla in the Southern Gyeong-gi area and also was an important Yogacara Buddhist temple in the Goryeo Buddhism.

By using ceramic heater, a sample of drawn poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) filaments were subjected to different conditions of annealing, i.e, different annealing temperatures and annealing tensions. As annealing tensions. As annealing temperature and annealing tension is increased, tenacity of annealed sample is increased, but elongation at break is decreased.

The paper describes the influence of boundary constraints on the local buckling of cylindrical shells under combined stresses which are shear and bending stesses caused by horizontal loading. It is considered that the discrepancy in buckling stress between the theoretical and experimental approaches are caused by the effects of imperfections, prebuckling deformations and stresses. The equilibrium equations including the effects of the prebuckling deformations or the prebuckling stresses in circumferential direction are derived by application of Gerakin's method and the prebuckling deformations and stresses occuring at fixed end are estimated by the previous analytical solutions for cylindrical shell. The effects of prebuckling deformations and circumferential stresses are included in the quilibrium equations and the local buckling loads are numerically obtained so as to take into account the effects of constraints. The influence of boundary constraints are estimated by comparisons with the previous results for the local buckling. The prebuckling curvature occuring at fixed end of cylider have no effect on the buckling stresses. But the effect for the circumferential prebuckling stress at the fixed end are significant in the local buckling. The buckling stresses including these effects show the levels lower than that for the previous buckling stresses and this result shows a tendency to be in agreement with the previous experimental results.
