Performance Optimization and Analysis on P2P Mobile Communication Systems Accelerated by MEC Servers
( Xuesong Liang ),( Yongpeng Wu ),( Yujin Huang ),( Derrick Wing Kwan Ng ),( Pei Li ),( Yingbiao Yao ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2022 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.16 No.1
As a promising technique to support tremendous numbers of Internet of Things devices and a variety of applications efficiently, mobile edge computing (MEC) has attracted extensive studies recently. In this paper, we consider a MEC-assisted peer-to-peer (P2P) mobile communication system where MEC servers are deployed at access points to accelerate the communication process between mobile terminals. To capture the tradeoff between the time delay and the energy consumption of the system, a cost function is introduced to facilitate the optimization of the computation and communication resources. The formulated optimization problem is non-convex and is tackled by an iterative block coordinate descent algorithm that decouples the original optimization problem into two subproblems and alternately optimizes the computation and communication resources. Moreover, the MEC-assisted P2P communication system is compared with the conventional P2P communication system, then a condition is provided in closed-form expression when the MEC-assisted P2P communication system performs better. Simulation results show that the advantage of this system is enhanced when the computing capability of the receiver increases whereas it is reduced when the computing capability of the transmitter increases. In addition, the performance of this system is significantly improved when the signal-to-noise ratio of hop-1 exceeds that of hop-2.

Correlation between machining errors and transmission accuracy of planetary roller screw mechanism (PRSM) plays an important role in tolerance design. In this study, analytical calculations, machine learning, and experimental verification are utilized for exploring the internal correlation between the machining errors and the transmission accuracy of the PRSM. A multi-roller meshing transmission error model is established, which comprehensively considers the eccentric error, nominal diameter error, flank angle error, and cumulative pitch error of the screw, roller, and nut. The importance coefficients of various machining errors on the transmission error are determined using the random forest algorithm. A genetic algorithm-back propagation neural network algorithm-based method is utilized for training the dataset generated via analytical calculations. The results show that the proposed analytical calculation model reflects the alternate meshing characteristics of rollers during the PRSM motion, providing a more accurate prediction of the transmission error than the existing prediction methods. For an actual mean travel deviation, the most significant machining error is the cumulative pitch error of the screw, whereas for the actual bandwidth of useful travel, the most significant machining errors are the eccentric errors of the screw and nut. The proposed prediction formulae for transmission error considering the essential machining errors illustrate reasonable prediction accuracy, with an average error of 10.63% for the actual mean travel deviation and 14.27% for the actual bandwidth of useful travel compared with the experiments, which can effectively support the direct design of PRSM tolerance in engineering practice.

Color Adjustment Based on Support Vector Regression for Multi-View Video
Huadong Sun,Xuesong Jin,Zhipeng Fan,Lizhi Zhang,Qian Wu 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.1
Significant color discrepancies between the different camera views can be observed in multi-view video sequences. In this paper, a color adjustment algorithm based on support vector regression is proposed. A mapping function is established by extracted feature points from original-image and target-image. Then the mapping function is applied to the original image to obtain the corrected image. Experimental results show that the proposed method can produce good correction result. It also shows that the color differences between multi-view video can be effectively reduced by SVR.
The Role of Tumor Microenvironment in Mycosis Fungoides and Sézary Syndrome
( Zhaorui Liu ),( Xuesong Wu ),( Sam T. Hwang ),( Jie Liu ) 대한피부과학회 2021 Annals of Dermatology Vol.33 No.6
Mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sezary syndrome (SS) are the most common subtypes of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs). Most cases of MF display an indolent course during its early stage. However, in some patients, it can progress to the tumor stage with potential systematic involvement and a poor prognosis. SS is defined as an erythrodermic CTCL with leukemic involvements. The pathogenesis of MF and SS is still not fully understood, but recent data have found that the development of MF and SS is related to genetic alterations and possibly to environmental influences. In CTCL, many components interacting with tumor cells, such as tumor-associated macrophages, fibroblasts, dendritic cells, mast cells, and myeloid-derived suppressor cells, as well as with chemokines, cytokines and other key players, establish the tumor microenvironment (TME). In turn, the TME regulates tumor cell migration and proliferation directly and indirectly and may play a critical role in the progression of MF and SS. The TME of MF and SS appear to show features of a Th2 phenotype, thus dampening tumorrelated immune responses. Recently, several studies have been published on the immunological characteristics of MF and SS, but a full understanding of the CTCL-related TME remains to be determined. This review focuses on the role of the TME in MF and SS, aiming to further demonstrate the pathogenesis of the disease and to provide new ideas for potential treatments targeted at the microenvironment components of the tumor.
Asymmetric coaxial three‑coil wireless power transmission system optimization
Dongdong Zhang,Xuesong Li,Jie Yang,Xiang Li,Thomas Wu 전력전자학회 2023 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.23 No.9
With the rapid development of wireless power transmission (WPT) technology and the demand for a wide range of applications, the common two-coil system is becoming increasingly mature. However, the monotonous structure of two-coil systems limits their development. By incorporating relay coils, the distance of power transmission, efficiency, and electromagnetic field (EMF) leakage can be effectively improved. In this paper, the three-coil system is analyzed, and the relay coil parameters are optimized by an evolutionary algorithm. After that, based on the coil optimization, the compensation capacitance of the relay coil is analyzed and an analytical formula of the compensation capacitance of the optimized relay coil is obtained. The results show that the parameter-optimized system reduces current by 86.9%, increases efficiency by 10%, and suppresses EMF leakage by 18 dB. Meanwhile, the capacitor optimization further improves the transmission efficiency of the system.
