Color Adjustment Based on Support Vector Regression for Multi-View Video

Significant color discrepancies between the different camera views can be observed in multi-view video sequences. In this paper, a color adjustment algorithm based on support vector regression is proposed. A mapping function is established by extracted feature points from original-image and target-image. Then the mapping function is applied to the original image to obtain the corrected image. Experimental results show that the proposed method can produce good correction result. It also shows that the color differences between multi-view video can be effectively reduced by SVR.
The experimental design of a new kind of bubble pump used on the solar water heater system

The application analysis of bubble pump on the domestic solar water heater system is presented. The system investigated in this study is a passive device, self pumping and self regulating. It was test to use the bubble pump on solar water heater system. The test experiment has been taken on the existed vacuum tube about the efficiency, working fluid temperature and pressure and circulated power. In order to check the working temperature and working pressure effectively, the bubble pump was test separated from the solar water heater. The equipment consists of the bubble pump, heater and heat exchanger. The main structure of bubble pump was design depend on the character of two phase flow. The complete system was instrumented to measure pressures, temperatures and flow-rates at various locations. The theory analysis of design bubble pump has been given and the experiment design has been included in the paper.

A Study of Mixing System Using Gas-Liquid Ejector

A literature review has been carried out on reactor using gas-liquid ejector. The aim of this paper is further studies to achieve deeper understanding in this field. First to investigate the influence of operating conditions and design parameters on the hydrodynamics and the mass transfer properties of a loop reactor. This paper provides a literature review on the ejectors applications in the mixing system. A number of studies are grouped and discussed in several topics. Such as the background, theory of ejector, mixing characteristics, optimization of the system. Since the high efficiencies reactor using ejector widely used in gas-liquid system, especially in a number of chemical and biochemical processes. This is due to their high efficiency in gas dispersion resulting in high mass transfer rate and low power requirements. Circulation and gas dispersion are achieved when the liquid is injected into the reactors with high velocity which entrain the gas phase and create a fine dispersion of the two phases. Thus ejector has been applied to the mixing system.
Evaluation and Performance Comparison between JPEG2000 and SVC

The scalable extension to the H.264/AVC has been established as a scalable video coding (SVC) standard, and JPEG2000 is a state of the act still image coding standard. The most distinctive difference between SVC and JPEG2000 is, in terms of spatial-frequency transformation, that SVC is based on the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and JPEG2000 is based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). JPEG2000 outperforms its predecessor-JPEG which adopts DCT by nearly 30% in terms of compression performance. Despite the DWT has been successfully employed in still image coding, the latest video coding standard keeps on ultilising DCT and the relevant techniques as its coding tools. In this paper, we investigate SVC for intra frame coding and JPEG2000 for still image coding, on video sequences with different resolutions and features. From the experimental evaluations, we attempt to gain deeper insight into the application scenarios of these two transform techniques. The experimental results demonstrate that at high bitrates, JPEG2000 outperforms SVC, and it is vice versa. We also note that the PSNR difference between SVC and JPEG2000 decreases with increasing the picture resolution. Therefore, JPEG2000 is more suited for high definition picture compression. The spatial scalability of SVC and JPEG2000 is also investigated in the evaluation, and the results show that SVC gains quite better performance than JPEG2000.
