H-quasi-hemi-slant submersions
Sumeet Kumar,Sushil Kumar,Rajendra Prasad,Aysel-Turgut Vanli 대한수학회 2023 대한수학회논문집 Vol.38 No.2
In this paper, h-quasi-hemi-slant submersions and almost h-quasi-hemi-slant submersions from almost quaternionic Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds are introduced. Fundamental results on h-quasi-hemi-slant submersions: the integrability of distributions, geometry of foliations and the conditions for such submersions to be totally geodesic are investigated. Moreover, some non-trivial examples of the h-quasi-hemi-slant submersion are constructed.
CONFORMAL HEMI-SLANT SUBMERSIONS FROM ALMOST HERMITIAN MANIFOLDS
Kumar, Sumeet,Kumar, Sushil,Pandey, Shashikant,Prasad, Rajendra Korean Mathematical Society 2020 대한수학회논문집 Vol.35 No.3
In this paper, our main objective is to introduce the notion of conformal hemi-slant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalized case of conformal anti-invariant submersions, conformal semi-invariant submersions and conformal slant submersions. We mainly focus on conformal hemi-slant submersions from Kähler manifolds. During this manner, we tend to study and investigate integrability of the distributions which are arisen from the definition of the submersions and the geometry of leaves of such distributions. Moreover, we tend to get necessary and sufficient conditions for these submersions to be totally geodesic for such manifolds. We also provide some quality examples of conformal hemi-slant submersions.

Background/Aims: The aim of this study was to study the efficacy and safety of zolpidem for sleep disturbances in patients with cirrhosis. Methods: Fifty-two Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) class A or B cirrhotics with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index >5 were randomized to either zolpidem 5 mg daily (n=26) or placebo (n=26) for 4 weeks. Results: The therapy of 4 weeks was completed by 23 patients receiving zolpidem (3 stopped treatment due to excessive daytime drowsiness) and 24 receiving placebo (2 refused to continue the study). In the zolpidem group, after 4 weeks of therapy, there was significant increase in total sleep time (TST) and sleep efficiency compared to baseline and improvement in polysomnographic parameters of sleep initiation and maintenance (i.e., decrease in sleep latency time, decrease in wake time, and decreases in number of arousals and periodic limbs movements per hour of sleep), without any significant change in sleep architecture. Conclusions: Four weeks of 5 mg daily zolpidem in CTP class A or B cirrhosis patients with insomnia led to significant increases in TST and sleep efficiency and improvement in polysomnographic parameters of sleep initiation and maintenance without any significant change in sleep architecture.
Exploring the Potential of Flunarizine for Cisplatin-Induced Painful Uremic Neuropathy in Rats
Arunachalam Muthuraman,Sumeet Kumar Singla,Anil Peters 대한배뇨장애요실금학회 2011 International Neurourology Journal Vol.15 No.3
Purpose: The present study was designed to explore the potential of flunarizine for cisplatin induced painful uremic neuropathy in rats. Methods: Cisplatin (2 mg/kg; i.p., for 5 consecutive days) was administered and renal uremic markers i.e., serum creatinine were estimated on days 4 and 25. Behavioral changes were assessed in terms of thermal hyperalgesia (hot plate, plantar, tail immersion, and tail flick tests at different time intervals). Biochemical analysis of total calcium, superoxide anion, DNA, and transketolase, and myeloperoxidase activity in tissue samples was also performed. Furthermore, flunarizine (100, 200, and 300 μM/kg; p.o., for 21 consecutive days) was administered to evaluate its potency on uremic neuropathy, and the results were compared with those for the carbamazepine-treated (30 mg/kg; p.o., for 21 consecutive days) groups. Results: Flunarizine attenuated the cisplatin-induced uremic neuropathy, and the degree of behavioral and biochemical changes in serum and tissue samples in a dose dependent manner. The medium and high doses of flunarizine were shown to produce a significant effect on cisplatin induced painful uremic neuropathy. Conclusions: Our results indicate the potential of flunarizine for anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective actions. Therefore, it may have use as a novel therapeutic agent for the management of painful uremic neuropathy.
Quasi hemi-slant submanifolds of cosymplectic manifolds
Rajendra Prasad,Sandeep Kumar Verma,Sumeet Kumar,Sudhakar K Chaubey 강원경기수학회 2020 한국수학논문집 Vol.28 No.2
We introduce and study quasi hemi-slant submanifolds of almost contact metric manifolds (especially, cosymplectic manifolds) and validate its existence by providing some non-trivial examples. Necessary and sufficient conditions for integrability of distributions, which are involved in the definition of quasi hemi-slant submanifolds of cosymplectic manifolds, are obtained. Also, we investigate the necessary and sufficient conditions for quasi hemi-slant submanifolds of cosymplectic manifolds to be totally geodesic and study the geometry of foliations determined by the distributions.
A note on Einstein-like para-Kenmotsu manifolds
Rajendra Prasad,Sandeep Kumar Verma,Sumeet Kumar 호남수학회 2019 호남수학학술지 Vol.41 No.4
The objective of this paper is to introduce and study Einstein-like para-Kenmotsu manifolds. For a para-Kenmotsu manifold to be Einstein-like, a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of its curvature tensor is obtained. We also obtain the scalar curvature of an Einstein-like para-Kenmotsu manifold. A necessary and sufficient condition for an almost para-contact metric hypersurface of a locally product Riemannian manifold to be para-Kenmotsu is derived and it is shown that the para-Kenmotsu hypersurface of a locally product Riemannian manifold of almost constant curvature is always Einstein.

Prakash Vinit,Kaur Harpreet,Kumari Anjana,Kumar Manoj,Bala Ritu,Gupta Sumeet 경희대학교 융합한의과학연구소 2021 Oriental Pharmacy and Experimental Medicine Vol.21 No.3
This review article on Cycas revoluta mainly comprehensively summarizes characterization, morphology, distribution, traditional uses, phytochemical constituents and biological activities of isolated individual constituents as well as plant extract. Cycas revoluta is commonly known as Sago palm which belongs to gymnosperm species, cycadaceae family and has been used as a traditional medicine to cure blood vomiting, flatulence, skin diseases, hypertension, gastrointestinal distress, cough, blood pressure, hair growth, astringent, diuretic, snake bite, dressing wounds, swollen glands and stomach purifying. Its phytochemical analysis have been revealed the presence of flavonoids, glycosides, non-protein amino acids, fatty acids, benzenoids, terpenes, amino acids, diterpenoids, triterpenoids, sterols, esters and steroids. The chemical constituents and crude extracts exhibit biological activities such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, cytotoxic, antileishmanial, anticancer and many more.

In the present paper, we introduce the notion of quasi hemi-slant submanifolds of almost Hermitian manifolds and give some of its examples. We obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the distributions to be integrable. We also investigate the necessary and sufficient conditions for these submanifolds to be totally geodesic and study the geometry of foliations determined by the distributions. Finally, we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for a quasi hemi-slant submanifold to be local product of Riemannian manifold.
