Porous Zr₆L₃ Metallocage with Synergetic Binding Centers for CO₂

<P>Coordination-driven assembly has been widely successful in the synthesis of metallocages and used for many applications, such as catalysis. However, studies on CO<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption with metallocages have been rarely conducted, compared to other well-known cage-type materials, such as porous organic cages. In this study, a rational choice of ligand and metal led to the synthesis of a Zr<SUB>6</SUB>L<SUB>3</SUB>-type metallocage, exhibiting exceptional CO<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption properties. CO<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption experiments revealed that the metallocage shows highly selective adsorption of CO<SUB>2</SUB> over N<SUB>2</SUB> with high CO<SUB>2</SUB> binding energy. Density functional theory calculations uncovered the origin of this exceptional affinity for CO<SUB>2</SUB> over N<SUB>2</SUB>.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

Crosslinked Gel Polymer Electrolytes for Si Anodes in Li-Ion Batteries

<P>Gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) membrane was prepared by the facile amine-epoxy crosslinking reaction of poly(ethylene glycol)diglycidylether (PEGDE) with diamino-poly(propylene oxide) (DPPO) and subsequent immersion in 1 M LiPF<SUB>6</SUB> solution. To apply GPE for Si anode in a Li-ion battery, the physical properties were optimized by the degree of crosslinking which was controlled by molecular weight of each part. The crosslinked GPE membrane composed of PEGDE(1,000 g mol<SUP>−1</SUP>) and DPPO (4,000 g mol<SUP>−1</SUP>) exhibited desirable dimensional stability, low electrical resistance, adequate ionic conductivity of 1.0 mS cm<SUP>−1</SUP> at 25°C. The Si anode cell employing this GPE exhibited enhanced battery performance of 2,434 mAhg<SUP>−1</SUP> and 80% cyclic retention after 100 cycles. The well-optimized cGPE with desirable physical properties could resolve the issues of safety and stability resulted from volume expansion of Si as well as Li dendrite formation.</P>

Immunomodulatory Effects of ZYM-201 on LPS-stimulated B Cells

ZYM-201 is a methyl ester of triterpenoid glycoside from Sanguisorba officinalis which has been used for treatment of inflammatory and metabolic diseases. In this study, immunomodulatory effects of ZYM-201 on B cells were examined in vitro and in vivo. When splenocytes were activated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), the major population which had shown an increase in cell numbers was B cells. However, when the B cells were treated with ZYM-201 after LPS activation, their cell numbers and the expression of major costimulatory molecules, CD80 and CD86, were decreased. Furthermore, the effect of LPS, which induces activation of NF-${\kappa}B$, was abolished by ZYM-201: LPS-stimulated B cells showed decrease of phosphorylation after treatment of ZYM-201. The same results were shown in vivo experiments. These results suggest that ZYM-201 may play a role in the modulation of inflammatory responses through inhibiting NF-${\kappa}B$ activation and downregulating the expression of costimulatory molecules on B cells.

Computed tomographic anatomy of hepatic artery in normal beagle dogs

This study was performed to examine the visualization and anatomical variants of the hepatic artery with dual-phase computed tomography (CT) angiography and three-dimensional volume rendering imaging analysis in clinically normal dogs. Seven healthy beagle dogs were enrolled and underwent dual CT angiography. Arterial phase images could be obtained with multi-detector CT angiography using the fixed-scan method in these dogs. Contrast enhancement of the hepatic parenchyma was quite minimal because of the unique blood supply system of the liver. In most dogs, the main hepatic arterial branches were the right lateral branch, left branch, and right medial branch. Although hepatic arterial variation appears to be common in dogs, only one dog in this study had the caudate lobar branch as the first branch of the hepatic artery. Further study on a larger number of dogs with CT images will be needed to identify and classify the pattern of hepatic arterial variations.

최근 들어 멀티미디어 처리 기술의 급속한 발전과 더불어 멀티미디어 데이타의 저장, 관리에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 멀티미디어 DBMS의 개발에 관심이 집중되고 있다. 본 논문은 프로토타입 멀티미디어 DBMS인 ALPHA 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대해 기술한다. 이 ALPHA 시스템은 멀티미디어 데이타의 특성을 고려하여 설계되었고, 시각적인 사용자 인터페이스, 객체 지향 기법을 확장한 객체 관리 기능, 멀티미디어 저장객체의 관리 기능 등을 제공한다. Recently, the rapid development of multimedia processing technology has caused the increasing demand for multimedia database management systems that can store and manage multimedia data. This paper describes the design and implementation of the ALPHA system, a prototype multimedia DBMS which is designed in consideration of the characteristics of multimedia data The system supports visual user interface, object manager based on the extended ob ject-oriented paradigm, and multimedia storage object manager.

보건관리자 법 개정에 따른 인간공학기사 제도개선 실태조사

Objective: 본 연구의 목적은 인간공학기사 제도개선을 위한 실태조사를 통해 현황파악 및 개선 방향을 제시하고자 한다. Background: 통계청의 산업재해현황에 따르면 연도별 직업병 수가 매년 증가하고 있다. 이에 인간공학 전문가 배출을 증가시키기 위한 인간공학 자격제도 활용 분야에 대한 연구 등 일부 선행 연구가 이루어졌다. 하지만 인간공학기사 제도개선을 위한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. Method: 인간공학기사 취득자와 준비자 159명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 인간공학기사 제도 개선을 위한 실태를 조사하였다. Results: 인간공학기사 제도의 문제점을 분석한 결과, 인간공학기사 활용 기회가 제도적으로 마련되지 않음이 가장 높은 비율로 나타났다. 또한 인간공학기사가 보건관리자로 선임되는 자격 제도 개선안이 통과될 경우 기대효과를 분석한 결과, 인간공학 관련학과 전공자의 진로 및 고용창출에 대한 기대효과가 가장 높은 것으로 분석되었다. Conclusion: 인간공학기사 제도개선을 위한 실태를 조사하기 위하여 취득 이유, 직업별, 수행하고 있는 인간공학 관련 업무별, 기사 제도의 문제점, 보건관리자 법 개정에 따른 기대효과를 분석하였다. Application: 본 연구를 통해 기사 제도의 문제점 및 현황을 파악하여 올바른 개선방향을 제시할 수 있는 유용한 자료로 사용될 것이라 예상되며, 기사 제도 개선의 기초자료가 되어 조금이나마 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

코호트연구는 특정 집단을 계속 추적해 가면서 과거의 행동이 미래에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대하여 알아보는 역학적 연구이다. 짧게는 2개월에서 길게는 수십 년에 걸쳐서 진행 된다. 일반적으로 식사조사 프로그램을 이용하여 연구대상자들에 대한 식사조사기록을 저장하게 되는데, 이러한 기록들은 수십 년에 해당하는 결과를 장기간 지속적으로 저장하고 보존하여야 한다. 하지만, 현존하는 식사조사 프로그램들은 대부분 운영체제 및 시스템에 종속적이기 때문에 운영체제가 변경되면 프로그램도 같이 변경되어야 하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이는, 장기간의 식사조사기록을 보관하여 연구를 하는 코호트연구에 있어서는 심각한 문제이다. 때문에, 장기보존을 위해서는 장기보존 시스템을 구축할 필요성이 존재하며, 각 식사조사 프로그램은 장기보존시스템과 연동 할 수 있는 식사조사 기록 생성 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 OAIS(Open Archival Information System) 참조 모델의 SIP와 METS(Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard)를 이용하여 식사조사기록을 장기 보존 관리 하는 시스템에 적용할 수 있는 식사조사기록 생성 시스템을 제안 한다. 제안한 시스템은 XML 패키지를 이용하여 식사조사기록을 생성하는 인터페이스를 제공한다.

기록물 패키지를 위한 신경망 회로 기반 자동 스키마 매칭

범정부적인 차원에서 기록물은 종이 위주의 생산방식에서 전자문서방식으로 변하고 있다. 이미, 많은 국가에서 표준을 정의하여 기록물에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 또한, 기록물을 효과적으로 저장하기 위한 기록물 보존소에 대한 연구도 활발하게 진행 되고 있다. 대부분의 기록물 보존소는 OAIS 참조모델을 기반으로 구성이 되고 있으며, SIP, AIP, DIP 패키지 형태로 수집, 보관, 배포되고 있다. 이러한 기록물 패키지들은 다양한 메타데이터 스키마를 포함 할 수 있어서, 여러 종류의 기록물들의 수집, 보관, 배포가 용이하게 하지만, 기록물 보존소에 저장되어 있는 기록물 패키지를 검색하기 위해서는 다양한 스키마를 모두 검색 할 수 있어야 하는 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기록물 패키지를 위한 신경망 회로 기반 자동 스키마 매칭 기법을 제안 하고자 한다. 신경망 회로 기반 자동분류 알고리즘을 통하여 기록물 패키지 안에 존재하는 다양한 형태의 메타데이터 스키마들에 대한 검색을 가능하게 한다. 또한, 실험을 통하여 제안하는 방법의 정확성을 확인 하였다.

슬개골 골절의 간접적 방법의 골절 정복

The goal of treatment of fracture of the patella is to gain accurate fracture reduction, secure fracture fixation, and early range of motion. In severely comminuted fractures of patella, open reduction requires extensive soft tissue dissection and high risk of infection. Furthermore, it is very difficult to get rigid fixation enough to allow early joint motion. An alternative in the management of severely comminuted patellar fractures is the technique of indirect reduction, in which the soft-tissue attachments of the individual fragments are preserved and used to reduce the fracture. Thirteen patients with fracture of the patella were treated by indirect method. Clinical analysis was done by using anterior knee pain score by Shelboume, Lysholm score, and radiological finding. The average Lysholm score was 88.3 and average anterior knee pain score 87.3. Nearly anatomic reduction was obtained in all cases. Indirect reduction seemed to be useful for the treatment of comminuted patella fracture due to minimal soft tissue damage, moderate rigid fixation to allow early joint motion.
