해운경기가 항만지역경제에 미치는 영향: 부산과 인천지역 비교를 중심으로

[연구목적] 본 연구에서는 상대적으로 연구가 부족했던 BDI와 지역별 경제변수들(고용률, 실업률, 수출액, 수입액, 광공업생산지수, 컨테이너 물동량)간의 연관성을 실증분석 하여, 시사점을 제공하였다. [연구방법] 본 연구는 BDI와 지역별 경제변수 등에 대한 관련 논의, 기존에 수행되었던 연구들을 검토하였다. 본 연구에서는 부산과 인천지역을 대상으로 2012년 1월부터 2019년 9월까지의 기간 동안 BDI와 지역별 경제변수들 간의 관련성을 비교분석 하였다. 이를 위해, 상관관계분석과 그랜저인과관계분석 등을 이용하였다. [연구결과] BDI와 지역별 경제변수들 간의 관련성을 비교한 연구결과를 보면, 부산과 인천지역 모두 동일하게 나타났다. 상관관계분석결과, BDI와 실업률 및 수입액 간에는 음(-)의 관계, 다른 변수와는 양(+)의 관계를 보였다. 컨테이너 물동량은 실업률과는 음(-)의 관계를, 다른 변수와 양(+)의 관계를 보였다. 그랜저인과관계분석결과, BDI는 광공업생산지수와 컨테이너 물동량을 선행하고 고용률과 컨테이너 물동량은 서로 양방향으로 선행, 실업률과 수입액은 컨테이너 물동량에 대해 선행성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 다만, BDI는 부산에서는 지역경제변수들에 대해 선행성을 가지고 인천에서는 반대로 지역경제변수들이 BDI를 선행하는 것으로 나타났다. [연구의 시사점] 본 연구를 통해 확인한 이론적․실무적 시사점으로는, 부산지역 경제가 BDI에 의한 영향을 보다 많이 받기 때문에 지역 경제정책을 국제 해운업 상황에 따라 시의성 있게 실시해야 할 것으로 보인다. 또한, 컨테이너 물동량이 항만 지역경제에 미치는 영향이 상당하므로 이를 고려한 정책이 필요할 것으로 보인다. [Purpose] This study empirically analyzes the relationship between BDI and regional economic variables, such as employment rate, unemployment rate, exports, imports, industrial product index, and port container volumes, which were relatively lacking in research. [Methodology] This study reviews related studies on BDI and regional economic variables, and previous studies. In this study, we compared and analyzed the relationship between BDI and regional economic variables during the period from January 2012 to September 2019 in Busan and Incheon. For this purpose, correlation analysis, Granger causality analysis, and variance decomposition were used. [Findings] The results of the study comparing the relationship between BDI and regional economic variables are as follows. The same was true for both Busan and Incheon. As a result of the Granger Causality Analysis, BDI preceded the industrial product index and the port container volumes, and the employment rate and the port container volumes were bi-directional. However, BDI has precedence over regional economic variables in Busan and regional economic variables precede BDI in Incheon. [Implications] Therefore, this study provides theoretical and practical implications by empirically analyzing the relationship between BDI and regional economic variables, which have been relatively overlooked.
가교된 PS 코어와 PBA 및 PS 셸로 이루어진 코어-더블셸형 나노입자의 압력가소성

가교결합된 코어와 PBA, PS 더블-셸을 갖는 고분자 나노입자를 제조하고 압력가소 특성을 평가하였다. 더블-셸을 합성하기 위해 먼저, 가교된 코어입자를 St, DVB의 에멀션 중합을 통해서 제조하였으며, 이어서 PBA가 내부셸, PS가 외부셸을 형성하도록 3 단계의 연속적인 에멀션 중합을 수행하였다. 제조된 더블-셸 나노입자는 가교된 코어의 존재에도 불구하고 PBA, PS 간 압력상용성을 발견할 수 있었으며, 25 ℃에서 반투명한 시편으로 압출성형될 수 있었다. 기계적 물성측정 결과, 성형물의 탄성계수는 더블-셸 나노입자의 크기에 직접적으로 연관됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 PBA가 과량으로 첨가된 시편의 경우, 25 ℃에서 재가공이 성공적으로 진행되어 5회의 연속된 압출성형에도 불구하고 0.55MPa의 탄성계수와 1.81 MPa의 파단강도를 얻을 수 있었다. Polymer nanoparticles with cross-linked core and PBA/PS double-shell were synthesized and their baroplasticproperties were characterized. PBA/PS, the inner and outer shell with cross-linked core consisting of St and DVB weresynthesized by three-stage emulsion polymerization. The obtained materials exhibited pressure-induced mixing of theircomponents and could be processed at 25 ℃ by compression molding which means there was no effect of the presenceof cross-linked core. Interestingly, the Young`s modulus of molded objects has found to be affected strongly by the sizeof double-shell nanoparticles. Furthermore, the molded object of higher PBA content was successfully recycled 5 timesat 25 ℃ and showed 0.55 MPa of modulus and 1.81 MPa of strength at break.
Coaxial RuO<sub>2</sub>–ITO Nanopillars for Transparent Supercapacitor Application

<P>Supercapacitive properties of ruthenium oxide (RuO<SUB>2</SUB>) nanoparticles electrodeposited onto the indium tin oxide (ITO) nanopillars were investigated. Compared to conventional planar current collectors, this coaxially nanostructured current collector–electrode system can provide increased contact for efficient charge transport, and the internanopillar spacing allows easy access of electrolyte ions. The morphological and electrochemical properties depended on the thickness of the RuO<SUB>2</SUB> layers, i.e., the number of electrodeposition cycles. A maximum specific capacitance, <I>C</I><SUB>sp</SUB>, of 1235 F/g at a scan rate of 50 mV/s was achieved for the 30-cycle deposited RuO<SUB>2</SUB>–ITO nanopillars. Automated Lipid Membrane Formation Using a Polydimethylsiloxane Film for Ion Channel Measurements

<P>A black lipid membrane (BLM) is a powerful platform for studying the electrophysiology of cell membranes as well as transmembrane proteins. However, BLMs have disadvantages in terms of stability, accessibility, and transportability, which preclude their industrial applications. To resolve these issues, frozen membrane precursor (MP) was devised to improve the transportability and storability of BLMs. As described previously, MP is a storable and transportable platform that can be delivered to the point-of-use, where BLMs are automatically formed upon thawing at room temperature. However, MP has an inconsistent thinning-out time, ranging from 30 min to 24 h, as well as a low success rate of BLM formation (∼27%), which make it undesirable for practical use. In our study, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was introduced as a replacement for conventionally used Teflon film to control thinning-out time. As such, we used a PDMS thin-film, a porous-structured hydrophobic polymer, and squalene, a high viscosity solvent, to facilitate membrane formation, whereas the absorption rates of solvents were controlled to achieve consistent BLM formation time. We successfully reduced thinning-out time down to <1 h as well as enhanced the success rate of BLM formation to greater than 80%. Flavonoids have a range of biological activities, including anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and anti-cancer activities, as demonstrated by in vitro studies. In this study, we investigated whether luteolin can be applied to suppression of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated inflammatory responses in murine macrophages. Luteolin was found to reduce nitric oxide (NO) production in LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells. In addition, expression of inducible nitric oxide synthetase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and pro-inflammatory cytokine tumor necrotic factor-α (TNF-α) at the mRNA and protein levels were decreased. These inhibitory effects were found to be caused by the blockade of nuclear factor kappa-light- chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) activation and phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase family, extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 (ERK1/2), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), and p38 MAP kinase. In addition, pre-treatment with luteolin resulted in reduced ganglioside expression levels and inhibited expression of GT1b in Raw 264.7 cells. On the basis of these observations, we suggest that luteolin has potential as an anti-inflammatory drug candidate, and ganglioside GT1b may play a role in the inflammatory process.
Two Cases of Spinal Epidural Abscess in Hemodialysis Patients

While epidural abscesses are rare in hemodialysis patients, they can cause severe neurological complications that can be fatal because only nonspecific symptoms appear in the early stages of the infection. Their incidence increased recently due to intravenous drug abuse, invasive spinal surgery, percutaneous vertebral procedures, and the development of diagnostic modalities. The increased number of cases is related to the use of dialysis catheters in hemodialysis patients. If a patient has fever and back pain, doctors should eliminate the possibility of other common diseases and consider spinal epidural infection. Early diagnosis and proper treatment are important to prevent neurological complications. In this paper, the symptoms, blood work, magnetic resonanceimaging (MRI) findings, and clinical course of two hemodialysis patients who developed spinal epidural abscesses are described.
