MOTIE(Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy) aims to build a Southwest 2.5GW offshore wind farm. The job will require help from the government, electric operator and manufacturers. The domestic offshore wind farm market will boost global competitiveness up until 2019. This research analyzes the economic impact of the offshore wind farm project. The local acceptance in terms of production, employment and value added are expected to be maximized. According to the quantitative analysis using the extended 2010 input-output table, we calculated that the production inducement impact will reach up to 13.5 trillion won. 11.07 trillion won from the offshore wind farm industry and 2.4 trillion won from others. Furthermore the impact of increase in employment is expected to reach 22,662. 9,883 will be from the wind farm industry and 12,779 from other fields. The impact is expected to be greater especially during the middle of the jobless growth period, Lastly, the value added inducement impact is expected to be 4.24 trillion won. Regarding economic impacts, strategies required for increasing local acceptance are as follows. First, in order to diversify and sophisticate the primary industry into a secondary or tertiary one, we need to develop the nearby wind farm site into a wind farm thema park. Attracting the wind farm production, installing and maintaining/repairing firms and establishing an experience center for K-12 students by providing them an education center for offshore wind energy can be specific means of development. Also, during the operation and after the destruction of facilities, the government should lay out the sub-structure of the wind farm as a sea ranch. Thirdly, the level of local acceptance regarding the community ownership of the offshore wind farm should increase to those of Middelgrunden(Denmark) and Navarra(Spain). Considering the economic condition of Buan, Gochang and the Yeonggwang area, community ownership is one of best solutions for the increment of local tax revenue. At last, considering the supports system of areas adjacent to power plants and ``Partnership management with local community’, the offshore wind farm operator may need to provide assistant policies to nearby communities. The policies should be based on Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) such as education scholarship projects, local economy cooperative projects, sports/culture projects.

The antigenic potential of CFA-001, cefazolin, a cephalosporin derivative produced by an enzymatic semisynthesis, was determined in Hartley guinea pigs. A battery of tests employed consisted of active systemic anaphylaxis (ASA), passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA), and indirect hemagglutination test (IHA). The results were as follows: 1) In ASA, no signs attributable to anaphylaxis was observed in guinea pigs sensitized with CFA-001, whereas OVA-sensitized animals induced severe anaphylactic symptoms; 2) guinea pigs did not produce antibodies against CFA-001 when sensitized with or without Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) in homologous PCA tests. Meanwhile, antibodies against ovalbumin (OVA) were clearly detected; 3) No CFA-001-specific hemagglutination was observed in the IHA using sera obtained from CFA-001-sensitized guinea pigs. These results suggest that CFA-001 has no antigenicity potential in guinea pigs.
Effect of Sulfurization Temperature on Solution-Processed Cu2ZnSnS4 Thin Films.

<P>Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) solar cells are attracting significant attention as an alternative to CIGS (Culn1-xGa(x)S2) solar cells because of the non-toxic and inexpensive constituent elements of CZTS. Recently, solution-based deposition methods are being developed because they have advantages such as suitability for use in large-area deposition, high-throughput manufacturing, and a very short energy payback time with drastically lower manufacturing costs. In this work, we fabricated solution-based CZTS thin films and investigated them in order to observe the effects of sulfurization temperature on CZTS thin films. We confirmed the grain size, morphology, chemical composition, crystallinity, and electrical properties of CZTS thin films depending on various sulfurization temperatures.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>As automotive steels require high impact resistance for absorbing impact energy upon vehicle body collision, detailed investigation of dynamic deformation behavior of TWinning Induced Plasticity (TWIP) steels is essentially needed. Here we show a plausible explanation of improving dynamic tensile properties by investigating deformation mechanisms using transmission electron microscopy and electron back-scatter diffraction analyses of interrupted tensile specimens. According to microstructural evolution results, slip mechanisms change from wavy slip to (planar+wavy) slip with increasing strain rate. With respect to twinning, the transition occurs from stacking faults to primary twins with increasing strain under quasi-static loading, while twinning becomes more activated under dynamic loading. Due to favorable effects of increased planar slip and twinning on tensile properties, the TWIP steel shows higher strength and similar ductility under dynamic loading. Our results demonstrate desirable applications of the TWIP steel to automotive steel sheets demanding excellent safety requirement of vehicle body.</P>
Comparison of cleaning efficacy of various irrigation methods

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the cleaning efficacy of two irrigation activation systems. Materials and Methods: Sixty single-rooted human teeth were mechanically prepared and randomly divided into three groups: group 1 (control)-manual needle irrigation; group 2 (EA, EndoActivator; Dentsply, Tulsa, OK, USA)-irrigation activation with sonic device; group 3 (CK, CK file; B&L Biotech, Ansan, Korea)-irrigation activation with ultrasonic device. After irrigation, longitudinal grooves were made with a diamond disk on buccal and lingual surfaces of all teeth, after which horizontal grooves were made on 3 mm from the apex of all roots. Then, all teeth were split by a chisel to obtain 3 mm-sized cross-sectioned samples of the apex area, and the remnants were discarded. Each cross-sectioned sample was dehydrated and evaluated by scanning electron microscope. Data were analyzed by means of the Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test (p<0.05). Results: Groups treated with EndoActivator (group 2) and CK file (group 3) showed significantly higher removal of the smear layer than the group treated with manual needle irrigation (group 1) (Kruskal-Wallis test, p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between group 2 and group 3 (Mann-Whitney U test, p<0.05). Conclusion: Both irrigation activation systems, EndoActivator and CK file, were more effective in removing smear layer from the apical 3 mm region of the root canal than the manual needle irrigation method.

<P>A novel maximum power point tracking ( MPPT) method for a wave energy converter is proposed. The output power can be expressed as a product of excitation force and wave speed. Therefore, the condition for maximum extraction of wave energy is ensuring that excitation force is in phase with the velocity of the buoy. However, the phase between excitation force and velocity is determined by the wave period. In the ocean, a wave has an irregular period and amplitude of wave position. In this paper, the wave period was estimated using the velocity and acceleration information. Based on the estimated wave period, the novel MPPT algorithm is proposed. The benefit of the proposed method is that the additional configuration is not required. The proposed MPPT algorithm is presented in detail, in addition to simulation and laboratory test results.</P>
